I feel like mine didn’t last as long. I thought I remembered replacing it right after i got my car in Feb of 2021, so this would be it’s second battery. My scion key fob last nearly 5 years before changing it. I guess because it being used most of the time since i have the walk away lock and remote start, etc.
And i just changed it a few minutes ago, so the second one I’ve changed in a year and a half
Just got the battery low notification. Original battery lasted me about 29 months

I tore up one of my keyfobs trying to pry open around the edges. Your technique using the built-in ledges on the inside as a pry lever worked on the first try with a single motion. Appreciate it - this saved a lot of time!

The Cr2032 and CR2025 fit and worked in my fob for my hybrid 2021 honda accord, as long as it was a 3 volt I'm assuming but maybe the other one has to be replaced quicker because it drains quicker I'm not to sure but worked perfectly in mine. I'm no expert I just happen to buy both packs and they both fit and made my fob functional

....my dealership told me they have to replace the whole remote for $100 cause the battery were not removable...I am glad I didn't believe him...
This was so easy, the only hard part was getting the battery out of the Energizer packaging! Lol! My engineer husband recommends the screwdriver because the key is probably a smart key and you wouldn't want to damage it.

The purpose of removing the key from inside the keychain is to remove the back of the shell!! You don’t need a screw driver!! Only the key we remove to open up the shell!! It’s very easy!! 😅😊😅

You could also just use the emergency key in replacement of the screw driver
And here I was trying to remove the shell with my bare fingers (and failing) until I found this video. Will definitely try to use a flathead instead 😅

I replaced mine and it doesn't do anything. I have to take the key out to actually put in door handle to unlock. I have to hold the remote close to the push button to start. Not sure what I'm missing.
