Building a live steam loco - Part 19 - Stephenson's Valve Gear

Here's the build log for my live steam model of Charles the Penrhyn Quarry Railway engine. It's all valve gear! I've spent a lot of time pondering the mechanics of the eccentrics, expansion link, rods, and levers. Many hours watching the bits going in and out and up and down, as I rotate the rear axle, trying to get linear movement from circular motion 👍
