    Hi Bill. I know you asked for any advice on setting the timing and I am not your guy for that. I did find your exercise very helpful and it looks like you have it correct to me. I have the TICH book and it has been a great pleasure to watch you build. Thank you for sharing and I am looking forward to you compressed air tests!

    I’ve refitted Ayesha with taper pins as used by clockmakers for the piston rod fixing. Makes disassembly quite easy and they tend to stay put. 😀 valves ideally should open a hair before the dead centres but as long as its close it will run. Slip eccentrics aren’t going to give perfect valve events anyway so you’ll probably end up with it working better going forward than back.
