I would support the original artist and GMK, IF THEY WERE IN STOCK and not in GBs that get sold out and never come back. Clones is the closest to getting the set without having to wait years or sell your organs for them on mech market.
It really is ridiculous how long you have to wait for a specific set of keycaps and the actual price...I paid $80 for some OG and their quality is worse than china knock offs.....I want to support the original makers but Jesus Christ. I honestly think it's a scam to some level.
As an artist I couldnt agree more. You should absolutely support artists when you can! BUT buying from what is essentially a scalper on eBay does nothing for the artist. Either join in on GBs if you can, or get clones. (The set I want Ive NEVER seen for resale anywhere, or even seen anyone that owns them. So clones it is)
@@triglyceride1160 since theres a modo r2, the prices arent that bad. many vendors have extras. i usually buy clones but i got the modo 2 since it wasnt heavily upsold
My clones are perfect so far. But my other clones that I don't use are meh. The batches are sometimes inconsistent, but still they're worth the money, especially when they're without any issues.

Honestly, to me, it sounds less ticky and more thocky on the Epsilons. Could be just me though! Also, I had an idea of using a POM or PC half plate to even out the inconsistency and make it sound more even, potentially solving the ticking problem you had with the Epsilons. What do you think?
That's a really great idea! However, sadly I do not have a POM or PC half plate for my KBD67 lite, and I have no idea where to get one. I believe the ticking sound is coming from the stem wobble so I'm not sure changing the plate will do anything or not, but it's worth a try!
i bought some clone set and unlike it at all because they are thin and the feeling of surface when you typing on it is not good at all for me CRP is the best
To each their own. There isn't an objectively better plastic really. I usually prefer the sound of ABS but it really just depends on the switch, keycape profile and other stuff. Like for the hyper tactile switches I find I like only a certain plastic. And SA ABS sounds so good but super thick KAT profile also sounds amazing.

I don't have 2 keycaps too, just have one keycaps PBT Cherry and I love it. Not interested with other profile too, just want to stick in with PBT Cherry for now. The reason I'm not interested with ABS it just faster shine than PBT. Yup I go along with you, there isn't really objectively better material from start. From what you said, you looked like already compared the difference sounds from the same keyboard, same mod with 2 keycaps different material ABS and PBT with the same profile.
