Great that you had the pieces to replace on the rusty parts. Great job fixing it, looks factory. But better now that it’s all covered with protective paint. Can’t wait for the rest of the build.
Looking super chill girl , you two play well together, just need some adventures in the rig. - new Maori tat on Left arm? So clever to keep the good parts of the crash donor as they now have a needed home - a positive side and Eric made it all work.

Just discovered your channel via facebook post. Cool video. I have 99 LX 300k miles in Ontario SALT CENTER, Canada and no rust. Krown rust proofing done every year on bottom and in all door cavities where they put holes and spray inside the cavities and in trunk/tail gate and hood. No car has developed rust on frame or body in 20 years of using Krown rust proofing.
I wish more people take care of their vehicles like you do! Annual rust proof for cars in colder climate is such a good way to protect your asset. When I get a new-to-me car it's always a game of "let's see how much work we need to do".
great video and nice repair! Just did this repair earlier this week and it was so hard to get the settings right when welding. Also on 120V and was rocking the lowest setting and still blowing through the metal at times. I should have just continued the tack method throughout instead of trying consistent beads at times.
This has been a really informative video, looking to do similar work on my 4runner soon, she's an old 96, but starting to need some TLC.. as ya do ;) Did you recover the phone from the bumper though, ? Hahahah awesome :)
I use Fluid film for drilling so the bit doesn't dull easy.. Actually never used as rust protection purposes. It's greasy and slimy, I didn't like it on things...
