This customer found us off our RUclips channel seeing the work we've done to previous customers Fords and our own.
OPT20 meaning it's an ex-highway patrol vehicle. Based in Wagga Wagga this vehicle would have had an interesting past, holding so many untold stori
The job for this one was to remove as much red dust as possible, restore the wheel arches and underside WITHOUT spraying black paint or underbody paint everywhere making a mess or losing that originality.
The paint work was glossy from a previous detail but still retained heavy scratching throughout, red dust staining and minimal clarity & depth in the paint.
The glass was quite bad, heavy scratching and water spotting achieving a 80% restoration rate the glass can now actually be seen through clearly.
The interior presented quite good just needing a light shampoo & extraction to remove some dust particles and light staining followed by Leather, plastic & vinyl conditioning.
Most rubbers removed to gain access behind & underneath removing dirt, dust & mud.
Engine bay received a under bonnet polish, & deep cleanse.
Finally, the complete exterior Ceramic Coated to lock in those good looks, retain shine & clarity a long with the added protection benefits.

Great work boys, gotta love an OPT20.
Thanks Charlie, Couldn’t agree more!
Love it!
great job guys, looks awesome. The HWP usually only kept their vehicles for 12 months or less depending on kms driven before replacing them and sending the old vehicle to auction so a lot of wear and tear seen is most likely from other previous owners. Usually ex chasers have a harder life post police use :o)
Yeah from what we were told back then it was 12months or 40,000 kms and they were maintained back then to high standards!
that would make sense. I have a fleet maintenance printout for mine and it was in service for 9 months and returned at 42k
Love it awesome job boys! Top work painting the black under sections too.
Thanks Aaron! 🙏🏻
Well done guys a few pointers though try more still recordings instead of moving about rapidly with the cam, other than that this is what i do as well love the detailing work went exactly through the same process...keep it up show more EF/EL detailing
appreciate the feedback & support legend! Love our falcons !
I think some of the boot locks may have been changed position but how cool. Id swab the back seat be interesting for a Chemical analysis if the past history. Might be a new idea. Originally chemical element sheet with each ex pursuit and So on Police vehicles. Looks so so sweet. PS definitely keen to try the black rubber and plastic restoration bottle ?? Impressive.
Imagine what’s on there hey!
Ah yes the Osren Re-black trim restorer awesome stuff. You can find it out on our site just search up smooth as detailing and have a look through the store :)
@@smoothasbrothers yeah absolutely obviously by example one can see the results from your own work. I just have to make sure I prepare what job I do to your products and I'll be very happy. Thanks mate. Yeah that water in the bucket after the shampoo. I'm sure there would be some surprising results from it's history as an ex Police vehicle. Sweet guys.👍🇦🇺
Didn’t realise you can polish a paint if it has clear coat on it (which I’m guessing this does?).
Most certainly !
Great result, l have the exact same car, ex highway patrol, little less k's. Would love to know how much it would cost to get a professional detail like that?
Beautiful mate!
Its hard to say without seeing it and how far you want to go but anywhere between $3500-$5000 for the full make over underside, inside, outside and about 3-4 days
Great job guys, looks straight of the showroom floor.
Thanks champion!
