There's two things I love about the opening part of this episode: The first is that Ritchie being an immortal is obfuscated by the fact that two other immortals are on the scene. The second is that our introduction to Duncan is with him pleasuring his lady. 🤣
I know a Knight who is an immortal with red hair and making sure he is not lost. My son is staying with him today and both of them are Knights and safe.
@@aaronthomas6155 Immortals can still sense pre-Immortals and vice versa, as seen in the original Highlander movie. Ritchie should also have experienced a buzzing sensation during this encounter.
Hate to rain on your parade, but I highly doubt that Ritchie was detected as an immortal in any sense: later in this episode ( 32:30 ), as Duncan and Connor were sparring and Ritchie snuck up on them, there was no realization whatsoever. Also around 36:30, Connor sensed nothing about Ritchie. What of course COULD be possible, is that Ritchie became an immortal at the end of this episode.
@@JoezBro Let's review the cannon from the first Highlander film. The Kurgan tells the head of Clan Fraser that Connor MacLeod is his and his alone to kill. Why is that? Because HE KNEW he was an immortal through the Quickening. Connor even senses the Kurgan (albeit not fully) at the start of the battle where he is "slain". So that establishes that immortals can sense other immortals even if they have not "died" their first death. As for "sneaking" up on Connor and Duncan, or Connor not sensing Richie before the fight with Slan Quince, there is no indication that Richie's presence was or was not felt in that scene. For all we know, both MacLeod's knew he was there, but just did not care. However, right after Duncan kills Quince (time 43:35 ), he looks RIGHT AT RICHE, like he knew he was there all along. I submit that they knew what Richie was, but did not see him as a threat since he did not know the true nature of what they or he was. Finally, at time 45:07 , Connor tells Duncan (while Richie is watching a short distance away), "What about the boy? He'll need watching." To which Duncan replies, "I know. I will." Clearly they knew he was immortal, and knew he was there. So, no rain on my parade. 😜

Yes Mac wait until he is a bit more seasoned and then take his head only going to be a few years into the future. But Richie being there did mask Stan Quince being nearby. Quince was a tough opponent since he was 6'8" tall and had worked many years as a blacksmith giving him some serious upper body strength which he probably used in his many years of head hunting. Why are they immortal in Highlander?
In the Highlander franchise, human beings born with the power of "the Quickening" become immortal if they suffer a premature death by unnatural means (such as by violence). After the First Death, they are ageless and invulnerable to death unless their head is removed or destroyed.
@@aaronthomas6155 Immortals can sense Pre-Immortals. The reverse is not true; Richie had no idea what he would become until after he died, and Duncan admits that he knew it could happen to him if he was killed.
I remember watching this when I was younger love it then and love it now
I watched the Series because I loved the 1st movie....but it was in season 2 where i actually stayed glued on the screen....
That has too be one of the coolest songs.
Miss these days...Saturdays were awesome... You didn't even need cable
This was amazing!! Can't believe it is thirty years or so, God how I used to enjoy it! There can be only one!
Duncan's Batman joke is funnier when you consider he probably met Bob Kane.
Slans eyes in that mask make his face look like a bo selecta mask lol
At 4:35 that's the toledo Salamanca that belonged to , Armand Faziel in the original HIGHLANDER
The music is STILL amazing...and always still be...
I loved the original highlander movie, will watch it a 1000x more before my end as a mortal, I loved the series and how they continued it on. "Who wants to live forever?"
i still get a chill off Tess sceaming, "damn you!" its like she's angry with me personally.
I don't think I've ever gotten over what they did to Tess she was to young.
This my grandma and I show! We loved this. I can remember making peach cobbler and watching this in the living room. Good memories!❤️
anyone else thnk that adrian paul has aged amazingly? i first saw him as a bit part in a sitcom i think it was either dynasty back in the day or maybe it was the carringtons i am not certain. lord he was sooo young then. played a love interest of a young heather locklear.
The Henry Cavil version just started filming. And yes they are using the Queen music. 😮👍
I remember watching this when it was airing. I was so excited.
Me too. My parents were obsessed with me. Mom had the biggest crush on Duncan.
I was always so disappointed that Connor didn't have his dragon head katana in this episode. I've watched this many times, as they put out a VHS with this and another episode and I had no idea the show existed as I didn't have cable at that point in my life. Richard Moll was a great villain in this episode. Only knew him from Night Court at that point.
Awesome 😎💯😎 thanks
Great job and more,
Brings me back to my child hood wen it used to play Saturday morning
It played liked 1 in the morning in Cleveland where I am from... That was my exciting Friday nights as a teen. lol
This was the greatest TV show ever...
RIP Stan Kirsch, Its upsetting he had a lovely wife..yes he really didnt have fame after words but thats no reason still...hope he has found peace.
even if he did have fame, he might have still died the way he did. Attention and money cant replace feeling worthless and like a burden. It's about how one sees themselves not how loved ones see them.
Wish they would release the updated blu ray set that was advertised back to original full screen and unedited for the season set
Havent seen this in over 10yrs but hell yess im in lets binge
Highlander,heartland,knight rider,street hawk.Charlie’s angels.quantum leap.
wow! 😃i did remember the show, but not this ep, and certainly, not the Queen introduction! (which in the movie, it was (princes of the universe) the song that got me into Queen😃)
Most old tv shows are , when you see them now , old fashioned in aryle .Sometimes so bad you cannot believe you were once so addicted to them . But Hughlander could still catch me effortsly . That music score , the heads of these guys , Important in more was than Just " the one" ,Great show .I love this Shout Factory tv .They got Alf too .Also still great fun .Smiley all around for this guy .
Depend on what shows, many of the old shows have qualities to them that you don't see today, whether in dialogue, whether in acting, the stories, the setting, the styles, the music. Many of the 90's shows hold up just fine, especially the animated ones.
U know, they should of picked him as the new James bond.he certainly has all the require talent and looks too.we love you Duncan.we wish him well.
This was such a good series. Sad, though, that Alexandra didn't do more with her career here.
I love her
I had such a crush on her in college. This show was great!
Unfortunately, because of stan krish. Alexandra was written out
@@alexkoronec4326 , what did he do?
@@alexkoronec4326 I thought she left the show due to other reasons
I love this series. Forever my favorite. ❤️🏴
RIP Richard Moll
Queen's music to this is extraordinary.
I did love this TV show as a kid growing up and I still do 👏👏💯💯
Hi i like this show thanks for sharing
I had such a bad time looking for a decent succesor for the first Highlander movie. My expectations were terribly low, but I enjoyed this very much
Connor would’ve beaten slan if he hadn’t fought dirty, he definitely had him hurt. He’s a tough opponent because he was hard to beat even after connor had wounded him
My mom loved this show back when it was on.
It can still be found on RUclips and other places. I believe it is also archived.
Not Connor putting Duncan on blast in front of Tessa
Richard Moll... From Nght Court?
Richard Moll~~ Criminally underutilized actor, but great voice actor too. Just found out he died this year....
No one compares to Tessa.beautiful and with a heart of gold
Actually tying this DIRECTLY to the film was an awesome move. You hardly EVER see the film star in television adaptations. I can think of maybe 2 other examples.
45.09 is the clue that Richie is an immortal
What a bout the boy .... You know youll have to watch over him
.....I will ..... That sent chills up spine
They really need to reboot this series
There is still so much potential with this franchise. Henry Cavill will be the new Highlander, filming to begin this year.
How do you know this
@@richardsantiago3510 he confirmed it himself
is highlander based on true events?
Not anymore , it got cancelled
@@PabloRuizMega yes, 100% true
Yes Mac wait until he is a bit more seasoned and then take his head only going to be a few years into the future. But Richie being there did mask Stan Quince being nearby. Quince was a tough opponent since he was 6'8" tall and had worked many years as a blacksmith giving him some serious upper body strength which he probably used in his many years of head hunting. Also his Quickening was fairly powerful showing him to have being an immortal who had taken quite a few heads.
Wow watching this brings back some memories I'm saying lol
.
Raiden vs Two-Face.
One of my favorite series
