Roger Daltry was such a gem in this series. I really enjoyed his screen time. A much better actor than anyone realized, he was awesome. Apparently he was the life of the party after shooting too and often footed the bill for all their food and drinks. A great and accomplished man.
I watched The Highlander from the first movie. Got hooked on the series and my daughter cracked me up the first time she watched with me. Kept saying she couldn’t believe I never mentioned how gorgeous Adrian Paul. Needless to say she was hooked and would watch the show with me when she was still at home. She found other fans when she went off to college. We have watched every one of the movies as well as every episode of the series. Discussed how much fun most were, but disappointed in a couple. Great to have found this! Thanks!
I think I was about 35 when the tv series started. The quality in every detail set this far apart. And I don't think anyone but Adrian could ever capture the charm of this character. Your effort is obviously one of love (and obsession!)
Making a tv show of this quality is something they cant seem to do anymore nowadays. Or maybe i am getting old because i seem to sound like my parents talking about how everything was better in the good old days lol
I’m a 50’s girl, but I didn’t get to see the the Highlander Movies until much later, however I absolutely loved the original Movies, “Connor McCloud” was my hero. I’m new to this Chanel and I love this take on the originals. About time it was made into the follow-ups. Love your work!!!!!!!
Many of us 70s and 80s kids faithfully watched this series along with Relic Hunter, The Beachcombers, Gunsmoke, Little House on the Prairie, Black Beauty, Movin On, and there were a few more good ones back then but I can't remember the names right now. All were pretty good series that still hold up well against the increasingly immoral stuff we see on TV today.
I just got the Highlander series soundtrack in the mail last week. I cranked it as high as it would go in my vehicle. it was still chills inducing. I did the young driver thing and thought all on the ,ain st. sidewalks should hear it too. I would usually be the person walking cursing the drivers and saying turn your crap down, to myself. but it was Bonnie! not a common tune.
It's a good thing Duncan was so long lived. It wasn't apparent while watching these scenes as flashbacks during the series but he was an incredibly slow learner.
the nice thing about this is that i was always hoping that a dvd would come out with the highlander flashbacks in a chronological order and somebody did just that but i doubt if it's in a dvd format , but im grateful to catch this on RUclips
Thank you. What a work. Getting the flashbacks from all seasons. I allways loved to watch the highlander and one of the best parts where the flashbacks, and now I can watch them again in chronological order. A tip my hat for you.
I read that Adrian Paul really enjoyed doing the flashback scenes. In fact, it was this reason why the episodes "The Stone Of Scone" and "Unusual Suspects" were set entirely in flashbacks. My hat is off to the cast and crew of Highlander for working so hard to bring the past to life each week for six years.
Watching his life in sequence brings a whole new perspective on his growth as a character and just how deadly his world is as he barely survives through the initial decades of his immortality.
The production value of this series is very impressive. The sets and costumes alone must had been fairly expensive for a tv series and even for some movies.
The set and costume budge was reasonable for the time. But now, every aspect, every facet, every episode is a cash grab. Mass media, for the most part, sucks these days.
I use to luv watching this before school and after school ...Whoever came up with the story line had a great imagination..Thank you so much for sharing this.. I truly appreciated watching this again as I will with part 2-3...
Thank you for posting. This brings back so many memories. This was such a good show. It was great seeing Roger Daltry again. I forgot he was in some episodes.
I watch every episode of the Original run of this show in the 90's . But you have put this together in an fantastic way 10 out 10 rating & Thank You for your work !!!
I had dreamt that one day I would have the guts to do precisely this, taking all the highlander's flashbacks and gathering them in chronological order into one big "History of Duncan Mac Cleod, the Highlander"... Therefore, I guess I can only say Thank You dude, and bravo!
🤷♀️ Recently been watching the Highlander series over and over. Just started back at the beginning again when i noticed this show on my feed. i still get to watch the series but IN ORDER! 🙆🏼♀️ _BRILLIANT!_ TYTYTY SOO MUCH! 😘
“The Highland Rose” The mist rolled over the hills of Glenfinnan like a veil of mystery, casting the valley in a soft, ethereal glow. The year was 1625, and the young Duncan MacLeod, barely into his twenties, was a restless spirit. He wandered the glens with the wild freedom of a Highlander, his sword by his side and the winds of the north guiding his every step. His cousin, Robert MacLeod, was his closest companion, and together they lived like brothers - two fiery souls bound by blood and a shared destiny. But Duncan's heart was not entirely his own. For as long as he could remember, he had loved Deborah Campbell, the daughter of a neighboring clan chief. Her dark hair cascaded like midnight over her shoulders, her eyes the color of deep lochs, full of mystery and untold stories. She was known as the "Rose of the Highlands," and Duncan had been smitten from the moment they first met as children. One autumn afternoon, Duncan and Robert rode to the river that marked the boundary between the MacLeod and Campbell lands. Deborah was there, as she often was, collecting wildflowers along the banks, her laugh like music that made Duncan's heart race. "Duncan," Robert said with a knowing grin as they dismounted, "ye’ve got that look about ye again. Go on, man. Speak to her before she wanders off with another lad." Duncan glanced at his cousin, hesitant. "It’s not as easy as ye make it seem, Rob. She’s the daughter of the Campbell chief - I’m just a MacLeod, and she-" "She’s in love with ye, if ye’d open yer eyes," Robert cut in, giving Duncan a shove forward. "Now go. I’ll be at the river." Duncan hesitated, his heart pounding, but the sight of Deborah’s smile as she spotted him filled him with the courage he so often found on the battlefield. He approached her, his hands awkwardly shifting at his sides. "Deborah," he called, trying to steady his voice, "I see ye’ve found the best of the flowers again." Deborah turned toward him, her smile lighting up the dreary afternoon. "And I see ye’re still wandering about with yer cousin, avoiding all responsibility," she teased, though there was a softness in her words that made Duncan’s pulse quicken. "I’ve my responsibilities, just… none as pressing as seeing ye," Duncan said, a bit more boldly than he’d planned. He felt the heat rise to his cheeks, but Deborah only tilted her head, intrigued by his words. They walked together along the riverbank, talking about everything and nothing at all. The conversation flowed like the river itself - easy, natural, as though they had known each other forever. But as the sun began to dip below the mountains, Duncan felt the weight of unspoken words between them, words he had long feared to utter. Finally, as the golden light of dusk bathed the valley, he stopped and took her hand. Deborah looked up at him, startled but not pulling away. "Deborah," Duncan began, his voice barely more than a whisper, "I’ve loved ye since we were bairns. I dinnae know if ye feel the same, but I cannae keep it to myself any longer." For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Deborah stared at him, her eyes wide, her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came. Then, slowly, a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Duncan MacLeod," she said softly, "ye’re a fool for waiting this long." Before he could respond, she pulled him into a kiss, the world fading away as their lips met. For the first time in years, Duncan felt a peace that had eluded him, a certainty that Deborah was the one thing he would fight for with all his heart. But their love, as strong as it was, would not come without its trials. The tension between the MacLeods and Campbells had simmered for years, and though their clans were not enemies, the idea of a union between them was not warmly welcomed. Even Robert, Duncan’s trusted cousin, had his reservations. "Duncan," Robert said one evening as they sat by the fire, the glow casting long shadows across the stone walls of their family home, "ye know I’ve always supported ye, but are ye certain of this? If ye’re serious about Deborah, it could bring more trouble than ye realize." "I’ve never been more certain of anything," Duncan replied, his voice steady. "I love her, Rob. And if it comes to it, I’ll fight for her." Robert sighed, rubbing his temples. "Aye, I know ye will. But love is a battlefield of its own, cousin. Just be prepared." Duncan knew the road ahead would not be easy. He and Deborah would have to navigate the pressures of their clans, the expectations of their families, and the uncertainty of the future. But Duncan was resolute. His love for Deborah was as fierce as the Highland winds, and no force, be it man or nature, would tear them apart. As winter set in, Duncan and Deborah’s secret meetings grew more frequent. They would steal away in the dead of night, meeting by the river or in the glens, where only the stars bore witness to their love. But soon, whispers of their affair began to spread. Clan elders, already wary of alliances with rival clans, voiced their concerns. Duncan’s father, Ian MacLeod, called him to a private council. "I’ve heard the rumors, son," Ian said, his voice stern but not unkind. "Ye ken the dangers of this path ye’re on. The Campbells may nae take kindly to it." "I love her, Father," Duncan said firmly, his chin held high. "And I’ll fight for her, no matter the cost." Ian studied his son for a long moment, then nodded. "Then fight wisely, Duncan. For love is worth the battle - but it can also be the hardest war to win." And so Duncan MacLeod, with the courage of a Highland warrior and the heart of a man in love, prepared himself for the challenges that lay ahead. He would not be swayed by fear or doubt. His love for Deborah was pure, unwavering, and he would do whatever it took to be with her. Even if it meant standing against the very forces that sought to tear them apart.
I wish Duncan would have kept his accent all the way to the end. I thought it added to the mystique of who he was. Even if some people didn't care for Adrian Paul's Scottish accent. I was sad at the end of the series when Roger Daltry's Hugh Fitzcairn was killed. He was the life of the party. And remember Roland Gift as Xavier St. Cloud? He was the lead singer in Fine Young Cannibals.
@@Pashasmom1 that guy that was a good singer. And total Psychopat. Duncan cut his throat. And than he could not sing anymore. Later he became a manager of this girl. That is all i know.

Yea then add it was a French Canadian Sci Fi show that makes it even more impressive. They don't have too many winners from that section of tv media.

This should have stayed in my memories. I had no idea how amateurishly it was made . So bad.
Loved it at the time, but that time is gone.
I always thought about doing this! Amazing but would be even better with highlander endgame flashbacks in here.
I remember watching this when I was a kid it was amazed by all of the sword fighting and ever since then I was die hard Highlander fan
Outlander is a great series I love it. Haven’t missed one episode or one second of it. Duncan McLeod and clan are in that also.
This is like a bad Lifetime production, but Highlander was always my favorite
Wish they remade the show but this time with immortal outside of Scotland and starting from chronological period the moment he becomes immortal to present day
Excellent work!!! Thank you for putting this together. Love this show!!
Amy are you married or do you have a boyfriend
I've been to the exact spot fron opening scene..I recognised the tres with the other trees beside them😂😂
It's interesting to view events chronologically
Dun is quite a gentleman so when the gall asked him: What are you doing? He answered: I'm taking my time. As immortatal as he is... 🌕
I absolutely love this series
This series and the first movie were great. It was sad what they did with the rest of the movies.
This is awesome. I cannot believe I just found this : )
I still love Highlander. Had a crush on Tessa and Amanda.
Thanks for sharing! Always thought of doing this but you really got the job done!
It is very interesting to see how the fight choreography improved over the course of the series.
Adrian started doing Alot of the Sword business himself.God i miss them.kat.
🤷♀️ So now i’m on my
second round of this
series. i’m STILL
seeing and especially _HEARING_ things i’d

And i’ve
watched the
Highlander series SOO
MANY TIMES! 🙆🏼♀️
Obviously i’ll need to
do the same with this
series. Fine with
me, still having
a BLAST! 💣💥🎉🥳
That one English swordsman , , the one wooin the process, that is freakinf Roger Daltry , lead vocals for the Who, , if that ain't him, that dude sire looks like him
