Some of us don't just like the green but NEED the green. I lived in Michigan and the growing season was spectacular for hopefully 4 months. I live in St Louis now but the further south I go the more opportunity to grow is remarkable. Your creativity is so beautiful I love your style and work. You do many of us a great service by posting these kinds of videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Truely.
I SO AGREE! Former Michigander, now a New Englander! When I go into a greenhouse here during the winter time I SOAK IN the green and the scent of the soil-I DO need it! I lived on the East coast of FL for a few years but came back up north when I could no longer take the humidity of the summers and missed the northern seasons. Florida DOES have subtle seasonal differences though people may not realize.
Anyone who lives in the North needs a little blast of tropicals to get us through until Spring finally does arrive. It just takes so.......long. Thanks for sharing. I really, really needed that and will definitely stop in Driftwood the next time I’m in Naples.
THANKS Jack! I am in Miami, and never thought about shopping for plants in Naples. You showed many specimens I've been after and are very hard to find in our side of the peninsula. Loved the video. Love your work . Laura from Garden Answer introduced you to my life. You are an artist!
Wow .. its like going to a museum for free! Stunning 😍 To live where indoor plants, live and breath to their full potentials in zone 10! I would like to see your own landscaping in Naples. And, if you have a home in Michican perhaps, or Wherever! Your truly living the life, surrounded in so much beauty with your business, Jack. I applaud you! ❤️ Thanks
Its a spectacle... they say the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but when it comes to orchids, YES, it is! Meanwhile, in Spain, my collection is desperate for warmer temperatures (and so am i!) Thank you for the look see 💯
Visiting my sister right now here in Port Charlotte! Loving all the tropicals and green. I am from Colorado where there is still snow on the ground and it is brown!
Holy Moly! Annuals are expensive. Thanks for this video so I'm prepared. Although I think Minnesota is stuck on winter. Looks like another 3 inches of snow arrived today. I'm not shoveling this! 😠
I’m so glad to have found your channel several months ago. I love your enthusiasm when showing the plants. I know a lot of plants from the South and North East and have grown many , Born and raised in Ohio then SW Florida ( Ft Myers and Cape Coral for 25yrs) now living in Fairhope Alabama I’ve loved gardening in all of these States. I’ve just recently moved into a new home which needs a lot of help, I’m 69 now but gonna give it my best shot. I will always love gardening , flowers and trees ❣️
Thanks so much for the tour of Driftwood; so full of healthy, beautiful plants. Something we don't have enough of here in South Florida. Unfortunately it's too far from us here in West Boynton Beach. Thanks for the ideas of new plants I can try.
What a beautiful nursery. My eyes.....taking in all that gorgeous color. I needed to see what I'm missing here in Wisconsin since it's late winter. Our summer growing season is so short, so seeing all this now is really special. Thank you Jack for sharing this garden center.....pin now dropped for a visit. 😊 I really enjoy your videos. You inspire me.
I’ve always thought that also. If you watch any of his videos as he tours makeovers and such, he is always caressing the plants! Shows the connection and compassion I think
Lovely garden center. We’re moving to Panama, close to Costa Rica and just as you mentioned houseplants here in Michigan grow along this fences and roadsides there.
Seems like I should be able to find many of those plants in HI, but the plant availability here is limited. Jack, what’s up with that? If I special order from the Web, then the shipping costs more than the product…
I'm trying decide on a smaller and colorful Centerpoint tree. I've been considering a Tibichina or Powderpuff tree. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks, Hap
Anything that is marked as "house plant" all came from the outdoors, just look up the variety for the conditions it will need to be happy and plant them.
Come june thru september you get masses of glorious summer flowers that can't take the tropical heat and humidity of Florida Zone 10, so it's always a tradeoff.
@@pattiday431 Jenny and Jerry at Creekside Gardens. I watch them too! I'm in Minnesota zone 4a still buried under snow and currently snowing again so planting for me is a long ways down the road yet.
@Patti Day Yes, I believe they are the same. I really enjoy them as well. Totally different personalities and descriptions and explanations. I can't think of her name either. Like I said, I just started with them.
I commented to Laura in a recent video she was brain storming on ideas in her garden…… “ call Jack! “. She called her mom instead! Sorry! I’m in Brandon, Fl, got to see how far Naples is from me. Those prices are great compared to locally!

Wow! What a garden center! The plant varieties are unique....Be nice to live close by. ❤
We always went to Driftwood when we went on vacation to Naples. Thank goodness we always drove down , so I could be a plant or two back home. ❤

Love to see!! As I’m watching snow fall out my window in Montana. Always excited to see your videos.

So much beautiful color, gives me spring fever for sure, but still to cold in Tennessee.
How exciting that you are actually down here from Michigan. I love your work and I love that you are in Naples half of the year. Hope to use you soon.
Hi Jack, thanks for the video keep it up.Welcome to Africa for African varieties.
One of the best nurseries in Naples,Fl. They are very knowledgeable and I enjoy going there.

Beautiful nursery!
Love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the biggest nursery I've ever seen! Great variety. Had to laugh at how u caress all the plants. I do this too! Lol

Cant stop won’t stop!
Have you ever hit Top Tropicals? They have some outrageous specimens!
Where is it?

Hi Jack, Hong Kong Orchid Tree is called Bauhinia 🥰
It must be nice. ❄️💚🙃
Oh how i wish Pensacola wasn't hours away! I could spend hours in there!!!!
The prices on the different pots are much more reasonable thanI saw last spring in my area of Virginia.
Wish I was there.

could you do something on and with the fiddle leaf fig?
Sure!

😍😍😍
Sadly, I'm in zone 6a! Still have snow and will for at least a month.

@Patti Day Right. I watch a woman on youtube from North Carolina who says that as well
@@Realitytime2024 me too. I forget her name at the moment, but she and her husband, Jerry, run a nursery. Same person?
