I can't move the dial at all despite pushing and pulling on those two white/black flexion/extension buttons. Maybe its broken. Im not using it for myself. But...for anyone who needs this exact type of medical appliance.... if you can't afford one or your health insurance/government does not cover it for free...go to the local thrift store. I see these things in my local thrift store Value village all the the time for $6 each leg or arm. I assume that they sell for over $300...but since these are FREE to many people in my province in Canada, they just throw them out after they use them or a relative donates them and the store gets 6 bucks.
I often see quadraplegic wheelchairs (older but usable) sell for $100 in thrift stores and I know that my dads simple basic barebones walker was $120! The wheelchair was probably originally $4,000 now $100.
Yes I also see wheelchairs abandoned in the back alleys because the client gets to go home free with it...and couldn't care less about returning it. Its too bad that many people who really need it must then go without them.

Darn! I just found my answer to this question that I couldn't easily find on the Ossur website or on RUclips. But now I found it on the company website. There was a "clip" over the top of each of the two buttons which locked them in place! I didn't see those on other braces that I had and forgot what they looked like from years ago. But the solution is to use a fork or a screwdriver and pry the clips off and then its good to go...easy to adjust.
(I wont delete this post for a few days or so in case some info here is useful to other people who mite need a brace but can't afford the $300 to more ($4.000 for a full fancy leg brace). Go to thrift store and spend $6
