Hello nice video. What does it mean when measuring a resistor and the buzzer/light goes off even though there is a reading? The manual is unclear saying "when measurement resistance is less then 50, instrument buzzer sound alarm, indicator light on. Regards
I got one of these a few months ago and have been happy with it. I do not have the display issue, and mine seems to measure even more accurately than yours. But later I got a Klein CL390, which is essentially the same as a MM700 with a 400A AC/DC clamp. If you want a more rugged unit with a conventional dial, check it out. It's under $100.
The spotting of the EBTN display seems like a mechanical issue, did you disassemble it further? I mean it only triggers when you expand the clamp. Also low brightness for outdoor use.
Yes and oddly enough I don't see anything physically making contact with the display. I'll just assume it's a one off , perhaps the trigger pressure is causing the glass substrate to somehow interact with the liquid crystal 🔮 😅 🤔 annoying but not really noticeable.
Thx my my friend! 👍 It appears to be the same although it's labeled as X4. Here's a Banggood link: usa.banggood.com/MUSTOOL-C21-AC-or-DC-Current-Voltage-Digital-Clamp-Meter-Large-Color-Screen-NCV-6000-Counts-True-RMS-Automatic-Measurement-Smart-Digital-Multimeter-p-1900940.html
Hello Darren. As you may well know I don't use clamps a whole lot in my normal day to day operations. I have a couple of units which work well for me. Wonder what brand they could be?
My choice is the Mustool! The slightly larger clamp is also easier to work with. I've used the Mustool for 4 months and I can't say anything bad about it except for the slow continuity... It's definitely a keeper.
I like it. If I didn't already have the Uni-T clamp meter I would probably order this mustool. I have seen other videos where people ended up having to calibrate their Kaiweets clamp. You may need to end up doing that as well.
I was kind of stumped as to the poor performance of the Kaiweets..think I'll be doing some calibration myself 😃 UNI-T is still a solid clamp just more traditional looking .. 👍
Nice meter, but with only CAT II input protection more for DIY / light commercial rather than heavy duty industrial use. Shame it doesn't come with a case to protect that display. My HT208D from Kaiweets, is not very accurate either.
I really wanted to like this one especially that great display and the visual indicators - I noticed at D2 on the PC board where theres a wire soldered it seems as an afterthought to the end of a surface mount diode, kinda "last minute this will work"-lol Again really love that display so much more readable being oriented like a regular multimeter etc. but overall doesnt quite seem ready for prime time, like many so close but not close enough. Good value for money in many areas but slow and not quite accurate as it could be in others. But thats just my opinion.
Ohh Mike..Believe me, it's ready.. it's ready for prime time!! 😃 It's not perfect but alot more clamp here than most. AC/DC CURRENT is flawless and it's a workhorse all around. But hey, I'll try and forgive you 🙂 muhahaha 👍
At least a worthy competitor to the Uni-T. The funky looking inverted LCD seems to make it independend of surrounding light conditions. How does it work in bright sunlight? Is there an other version available with an additional bargraph (as shown on the package)?
C20 is the little brother , it's lacking DC CURRENT though. The C21 also has both the bargraph and NCV strength indicators. It's almost as clear outside as inside.
@@KeepOnTesting Sorry, I´ve missed the bargraph totally at the first time I´ve seen your video. Bummer! So it seems the inverted LED works better than OLED´s. And (according to the manual) the bargraph updates at least 10times a second, hence it is not only a "nice looking, but useless" eye candy. Thank you for your answers and keep going with your interesting videos, please.

Great review as always!
😁 Cheers!

It's basically acting like a continuity check when there's very little resistance 0-50 Ohms.
Hi, does anyone know if you can mod the display to be a bit clearer? It's hard to read in sunlight. Regards

Thx Barry..that Klein is on my bucket list! 👍
Hello Darren, do you have any advice regarding this Mustool C21 vs WinAPEX 268B ?
Hi Jon.
I personally prefer the Mustool. Great performance and good build quality. 👍

Was this re-branded on amazon as Brand
Rocomoco? Love the content.

Hi Derek, not sure who the OEM is on this one.
It's definitely a solid clamp and probably one of the best AC-DC clamps I've seen in awhile!
Nice vid! Which one would you recommend between this one and the one from unit?

can mustool C21 or C22 measure dc current ?
As per the title, yes.

@@KeepOnTesting Hey, do let us know how to calibrate the clamp :)
@@bhushan9066 Will do my friend!
Nice review :)
Thank you! Cheers!
nice one!, I have 2 microscopes from that brand, you know, you can't say mustool without saying stool. lol
Must-ool..er.., mu-stool...ahhhh..Yes! It's definitely NOT a turd though 😊

Seems the nicer these displays get the easier they are to scratch ! The CAT rating could be better 👍
Ok. Thx

I just ripped out the buzzer and membrane with a tweezer. Problem solved.
That works! 👍
I must?
