Hallo! I'm from Inverness also! I am a transplanted Scot living in the US. I was scrolling through YT and came across your channel. I've enjoyed this enormously, thank you! I love finding new ways to use my gel prints. I have so many of them because it's one of my favourite things to do. Thank you for sparking my imagination in such a lovely way. Bless
Great tutorial Susan. I've been playing with a gelli plate for a while and not really achieving what I wanted. My focus in all my art work is Nature. I have now found the best teacher I could have, thank you. Looking forward to the forthcoming Botanical Gelli Printing course.
Thank you very much for generously sharing this Susan! so kind of you I'm just learning and you are truly inspiring and something to aspire to thank you so much.. they're beautiful.
@@susanmccreevyartist Best of all, you don't have music playing in the background. That can get really annoying :) Is it acrylic paints that you were using to paint the birds?
Thank you Elora, I will try to in the new year 😀 I have many videos over on instagram, haven’t quite got my head around youtube yet 🤣 instagram.com/susanmccreevyartist
I am fairly new to gelli plate, and found your site. I have learned so much from you. Can you tell me where you got your frames from, they are beautiful and a nice way to finish a painting. Thanks so much.
Hi there, you can stencil straight onto the paper or gelli plate, I sometimes do that too. I am just showing ways that I add more elements to my prints here too.
Hello Sharon, I have lots of videos over on instagram. I will try to film some more in the new year for RUclips. I have 2 courses available on my website which go into lots of detail of my process. Here is the link to my instagram if you would like to see some more free tutorials though 😀 instagram.com/susanmccreevyartist
Why all these steps? You cld do it all on the canvas no glue tracing etc. Stencil on canvas tap tap tap color lines wings branch.Cld be easier n save time.😊but beautifull Collection
I enjoy the paper as it’s easier to draw fine details than directly onto the canvas, which I have also done. It really depends on what the final outcome is going to be 👍
Thank you for sharing your fabulous ideas, and work. I love birds, ( I am a bird photographer) so this was most interesting, and I can't wait to try some birds of my own. 🦜🐦🦉💙💚

Is there a reason why you don’t stencil the bird straight onto your gel plate?
