I think they would last a few weeks in a cool temperature, I have added foam pumpkins 🎃 in the supply list in the description if you wanted to reuse them every year 😀 I used acrylic inks for this project, I don’t use alcohol inks but you could try it 🤔the rice paper would not handle so much water, it would disintegrate 👍

The texture is from the wrinkles created when the paper is wet, you could cover the flower palette with cling film and that should stop it drying overnight, alternatively, just pour out small amounts at a time and start with fresh ink the next day 😀

I used a roll of plastic underlay I had, I’ve put a link in the description for something similar on Amazon, you could also use heavy duty rubble bags for the garden 🪴

Do we have to let the final paint layer dry to remove/clean the plate? I refer to the layer you heated gently. Sorry to ask another question.

Hi Diana, I'm afraid I'm not sure exactly which part you mean, I usually pull the print with the leaves on the plate to create a silhouette effect, then I lay a piece of paper on top to pull the print under the leaves, if there is still a faint image left on the gel plate, I will roll a thin layer of paint on top of that place the paper on top, wait a few mins till it dries and then that will pull the remaining leaf shapes off the plate. Hope that helps.

Hi Maureen, I have heard that the brother printers are good for laser printing, a few recommendations on the gelli print fb groups. The printer ink is pricey to replace compared to inkjet. You can take inkjet prints to a printshop and ask them to print out laser copy, highest quality satin finish. This would be a good way to do some tests before making a big investment.
