Thanks Susan, your prints are lovely. Now I will try to use pressed plants for prints, they come out much better than fresh ones. I love the layered positive print over negative prints too 😊
I loved the wee pause and drum of fingers ❤...I usually have my head in my hands resting on my elbows..for more than a few seconds 😅 what a very pretty painting ❤
This was so fun to watch while drinking my coffee! I love this painting. It might be one of my favorites! I might have to "give it a go!" Thanks for sharing, Susan!
Great Susan thank you...and for me seeing how the "underpainting" is created really helps!! The printed on screen comments were also very helpful and I really do recommend your botanical gel printing course for so much more in-depth learning ❤
I just discovered your channel today and I can’t wait to work my way through your great playlist. Your style is so different from the many other gelli print artists channels I watch. Just gorgeous!
Wonderful process, enjoyed every minute! Just wondering, might you consider filming with an overhead camera so that we can watch your process the right way up?
Thank you 😊 I wanted to show everything I was doing and when I have the camera overhead it only shows about a quarter of what you can see here. If I work on a smaller painting next time I’ll do it from above as I agree it is easier to follow along 👌😀
Thanks for sharing. I did check out the 16x20 plate on the link. Unfortunately, it isn't in my budget. I guess I will be waiting for the price to go down.
Thanks for making it to the end 😀 all the plates are my own designs and hand made. Step by step process available on my “Botanical Gelli Print Course” 🍃
Hi, Susan. I’m glad to have watched this video. It’s amazing how you create textures with the gel plates. May I ask where you got those big plates from?
This is beautiful ❤️ Can I ask about making collagraphs? Did you just cut the top layer of the mount board away to leave the leaf design in the surface for printing? And do you varnish the collagraph surface before printing with it the 1st time?
“Here is a clip showing how I make my collagraphs. You will need 2 pieces of stiff card. Cut out the shape of the leaf and glue onto another piece of card. I use gel medium or yes paste and leave overnight to harden. In the video I show both positive and negative shapes that I use to print with on my gelli plate. No need to varnish. I found it prints better when I don’t varnish.” Making Collagraphs #gelliplate #art #printmaking #painting #printmaker #printmakingtechniques ruclips.net/user/shortsT5CdkxO66kc?feature=share
Bonjour, auriez vous la gentillesse de me dire quelle est la taille de votre gel press et où l'avez vous achetée ? Merci pour ce que vous partagez et bonne continuation à vous.

Have a great weekend and a large glass of wine post travels! 😂
Aww thanks so much, had a long lie this morning not feeling so full of energy today! 🤣
I like the U shaped table set ups and your collographs.
Thanks! That table is so handy as I can move it around my studio when I’m filming, the collagraphs are hand made, they work really well 😀
Just watched to the end and the finished piece is beautiful 😍 I now have gel plate envy! 😂
Ha ha sorry about that! I did think about putting a disclaimer in that I am not responsible for people rushing out to buy one of these bad boys!!😂
Amazing
Thanks so much 😀

Yes it’s a hefty price isn’t it 🙃🥲
This was wonderful do you have a tutorial or class on how to make the mounted stamp on cardboard? 😊
I do but it’s part of my paid botanical course 😀
Lovely to watch with my morning coffee. Thank you Susan 😊. The first printing plates you used for the foliage are they home made?
Thanks for making it to the end 😀 all the plates are my own designs and hand made. Step by step process available on my “Botanical Gelli Print Course” 🍃
Hi, Susan. I’m glad to have watched this video. It’s amazing how you create textures with the gel plates. May I ask where you got those big plates from?
Thank you! I got my plate from Jackson’s in the UK. In the description below you can find the links 😀
Beautiful and inspiring - but the white subtitles are hard to read against the light background 😕
Noted 😉
I probably missed it, but what type of paper did you use for this piece- it looks very robust! Beautiful piece❤
I used Cartridge paper 170gsm
