Well, this is the best gelli video I've seen . No messing about and no loving the sound of your own voice. I loved that you left any mistakes in and the remedy. Thanks very much.
Simply fabulous! Serendipity - I was walking the forest this morning for botanicals for the gelli plate. Love how you presented variety in a clear, articulate way. Gorgeous prints! Thank you!!
Thank you for mentioning copyright information. So many people don't mention it. Before I retired from teaching, it was something I always spoke with students about when creating art. Thank you!🎉
OMG...This is SO VALUABLE! I just (and I mean *just today*) started playing with this, and of course just jumped in...and realized REAL quickly that I needed to go find some videos. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
So great to hear! I have an offer starting on Friday on my longer gelli plate course. Here is the link if you want to check it out 😀 www.susanmccreevy.com/botanical-online-class
Thank you, I think it’s unlikely that the Christmas card would work. It’s the high contrast areas with toner ink thats used in glossy magazines or photocopy laser prints that works best for this technique.
Thank you for posting the video. I bought a gelli plate recently, & had my first try at printing using bubble wrap yesterday, so this film gives me lots more ideas. Never realised I could print using magazine pages. Loving the silkscreen look that this technique can give.
Thank you so much Susan, I really really enjoyed watching you taking prints on your Gelli Plate. I love ❤❤❤ all the prints and how you explained what’s happened and how it turned out. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too.
Thanks for showing all of these very interesting techniques. I haven't started making paper YET but I can see the beginning just over the horizon. Thanks so much for sharing! BTW I live in Rochester, New York.
Hi! Wow! I only bought my 5x7 Gel plate this week. Loved what you created & how you used different papers & layered. I will be playing with all my materials very soon & will watch more videos you're kind enough to share. 🥰🙏🦘🦘
Hello Susan, This is the first time I have watched one of your videos. Very nice! Look forward to seeing projects using these prints. And, I would like to complement you for responding to all the comments…that is special!
Ah thanks, I try my best to respond to everyone who has kindly taken the time to leave a comment. I will be filming more videos soon showing how I use these papers ❤️
Oh, at the 5:30 mark when the paper was stuck, I would have used a background color to try and lift the paper that was stuck plus the remaining ghost image, if it worked it would have been super interesting! Thanks for sharing these techniques!
Im amazed at all of this!!!! Your a great teacher! Thank you so much !!! I love it. It reminds me of silkscreening I make paperbeads and wondering if i can use color with the picture transfer?❤
Thank you 😊, I’m glad you found this helpful. You can use colours to do the transfers. Make sure the paint is not transparent as they don’t work so well for this technique. Have a look at Marsha Valk Gelli Arts on here or Instagram, she uses bright colours a lot in her transfers 😀
I’ve recently been given a geli plate - this tutorial has blown my mind. What I’ve done so far is pathetic. Your tutorial has opened up a whole new way of thinking. Please send me links to further tutorials or courses that you do - thank you so much
I love your choice of materials & colors ....very elegant & tasteful. Just got my Gelli plate & need to know if either side works . Whats the best liquid to use for cleaning & where did you buy those large Brayers ?
What a fabulous and useful video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I love the effect you get with the draining mat (the one made up of circles). Where did you get it from? I can't see anything similar on the internet.
these are my favorite types of videos. no big production, just get right down to it & tell/show me what i need to know. thank you for the inspiration!
Ha ha 🤣 that’s the Scottish nature of me, no faffing about with my life story. Get straight to the point hen 😆
2:30 I’m grateful you shared this disability accommodation! Thank you. xoxo - Lindsey 💌
You are welcome I hope that tip was helpful 💖
This was exactly the kind of video I was looking for for my new gelliplate - excited to start collecting items with different textures to try!
Great to hear 👂 😀
Thank you. I watched your video with fascination. Kind regards from the Netherlands.
Well, this is the best gelli video I've seen . No messing about and no loving the sound of your own voice. I loved that you left any mistakes in and the remedy. Thanks very much.
Thanks very much 😀👌
Love seeing ppl use Pringles lids to do art😂❤ I save all of the lids. They make great color mixing pods too
So true! 😀
Beautiful! With the leaves!
Thank you! Cheers!
I love the effect that the real leaves make. Thank you for the video.
Thank you! Cheers!

Ha ha it is like a magic trick every time when it works 😀🤩

Awww thanks Lana you are welcome 🤗
So helpful. I have found paper templates are really nice, but mostly for the upper layers. Your circles worked really well.
Thanks so much! 😊
I never thought about putting a transfer over another simple print. I loved that. Thanks ❤️
Thanks Eva, I am glad you liked this idea 😀

Great! Have fun 🤩
Wow, I'm impressed. How creative. I want to try this with a copy of a photo for a Christmas card to the family of the photo. Maybe that might work.❤
Thank you, I think it’s unlikely that the Christmas card would work. It’s the high contrast areas with toner ink thats used in glossy magazines or photocopy laser prints that works best for this technique.
Beautiful! Just got a gelli plate and brayer!
Have fun creating ❤️
I really enjoyed watching and will try making magic things tonight 🌸first time using my gelli plate. Wishing I bought the larger size now 🫠
Thank you 🙏

Great video. I have not used my gelling plate yet, and am learning with video first. Thank you!!
Oh you must give it a go! So much fun to print with 😀
So cool how the magazine image transfers. I wonder if it works with anything else like printed photos
You can’t use photos on the gel plate, you can print your own images onto copy paper with a laser printer though. 😊
Enjoyed your tutorial so easy to follow and just what I was looking for. Helpful with different paper you used. Thankyou
You are so welcome!
