More Sharpie Prints | Gel printing with a fat marker

- I wanted to revisit the sharpie marker on the gel plate just to have a little fun. Plus I was running out of papers from my last marker session. I frequently use them in collage. I just love them.

😊 your willingness to experiment and deal with “mistakes” in constructive ways is most inspiring!
We learn from our mistakes so as an artist that is a very good thing. I try to experiment small and then when I'm working on a piece I plan to sell I know what to expect. Even then mistakes happen but they can always be fixed.
😎 I never would have considered using a Sharpie on the gel plate. I love it. May have to try it with other colors of Sharpie too. Thank you.

I was thinking about leaving my gelli plate but by chance I saw a video of yours and I became interested again
As a gelli plate beginner I found it very helpful that you also showed the drying time in real time. For me the most difficult part of gel plate printing is timing especially when to pull the print. Thank you for showing us.

Just a little tip 🤪 put your plate on an acrylic sheet so you can turn it over no problem and see what you got🎉
I tired that and hated it. My plate moved on the table too much. But thanks for watching and your comment.
Loved seeing how the sharpie was used to create the gelli print. I have lots of those with the smaller nibs that I can try😊
The sharpie is still my favorite thing to use on the gel plate. Enjoy.

😎I learned a lot about layering and using a big sharpie. i will experiment with different sharpie colors too since I have a lot of sharpies. Thanks so much for this. The hardest part is probably being patient enough to have them dry.
I find they dry fast. Let me know how it goes.
I like watching real time for gelli prints. I struggle to get full pulls. I am only a beginner but struggle with it
I'm curious. What type of paint are using, what paper and how long do you wait to pull? Maybe I can figure out the problem.

You can use a piece of perplex under your plate so you can check the back of your work as you go and don't disturbed your work.
I tried that and didn't like it. The plate kept moving.
