Thank you for sharing your art with us! I BEG you to never disparage your work! You are teaching all of us to PLAY, experiment. There is no right or wrong in art. It's just different, and I guarantee many of us, myself included loved all or most of your prints! I'm excited to go play with my gel plate! 💜🌈✨
We learn from our mistakes so as an artist that is a very good thing. I try to experiment small and then when I'm working on a piece I plan to sell I know what to expect. Even then mistakes happen but they can always be fixed.
I LOVE your videos. I like the videos to be in real time. I can always speed up anything if I choose. I love having the choice. Thank you for all you put in to your videos. ❤
Lol 😂 And I may or may not be popping into Officeworks on my way to work tomorrow night to buy a Magnum sharpie or two 😁 Enjoy fellow new Magnum Sharpie owner!
As a gelli plate beginner I found it very helpful that you also showed the drying time in real time. For me the most difficult part of gel plate printing is timing especially when to pull the print. Thank you for showing us.
😎 I really enjoy your videos. I like how you start in real time, explaining how long to wait in between pulls. I also like it when you speed it up afterwards. Keeps me glued to the screen. Now I'm going to get myself a fat sharpie and try it out. Thank you, Susan.
😎Love these prints. Frankly I think the speed is a good mix of explanation and ideas. If it was one or the other only, something would be lost. Thank you for doing it this way. I’m inspired😊
😎 I’m fairly new to your channel but I have been enjoying it immensely. In answer to your question about normal or sped up, I like the combination that you do….normal speed with your explanations and then sped up to show the many different things you can do.
I love that pink, orange, blue, green and blk. was magnificent. How would other people that do the Gilli plate, don't wait ... they just put on and take it off. That all came out just beautiful. Thanks.
😎 One of the reasons I often watch your videos while I paint is for your color adventures. Even while your collaging, I find new and exciting color combos. Thank you ✌🏾🖌
Thank you for showing this sharpie technique.very bold and beautiful prints . I really appreciate the real time to begin the video and the mixture of speeded upto obtain so many prints..😎
😎The first one was definately my favorite. I had no idea you could use sharpies on the gel plate. Wow what new possabilities that open up. Thanks for the tutorial.
Beautiful colors and prints!...Thanks for sharing, I like it when you show the steps in real time, but also the quicker version too...I will be trying the sharpie...Can't wait to create!..🖌😊
😎I learned a lot about layering and using a big sharpie. i will experiment with different sharpie colors too since I have a lot of sharpies. Thanks so much for this. The hardest part is probably being patient enough to have them dry.
I don’t care if it’s actual time or not, as long as you tell us how much time has elapsed. I see many people that don’t explain it. Thanks for asking and sharing your work.
Theses turned out so nice. I like the mix of real time and speeded up. I would like it to end with another real time because I forget some of the instructions lol. Nice prints I will try it with marker.
😎😎so good I thought this one warranted two 🙂 thank you for generously sharing your experience - including the ones that don't turn out so well for you. I enjoy the mix of real time and faster sections - cements our learning to see more! Thank you
I still can't believe you can use a permanent marker Sharpie on a gel plate! Doesn't it have to be cleaned and does it really come off the plate so easily? Is it just the Magnum brand that makes the difference? I love both speeds of your videos - first in real time, and then sped up! It helps to see a d solidify your process over and over! I love your calm, informative nature as well - such a joy to watch! I also love your stencils, especially the mysterious celestial ones (can't remember what you called them). Terrific videos - Thank you! ❤❤❤
Thanks. I've only used the magnum sharpie and the fine point sharpie. Both say they are permanent markers. But they are not oil based. The oil based will ruin the plate.
😎 Thank you so much Susan, I really really enjoyed watching you create all those gorgeous prints, they may not all be your favourite but for me I’m in awe of your artwork. I really really love ❤❤❤❤❤ them all and watching you too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Love, love these prints..... Not entirely my most loved colours, but he way you do your prints are mist interesting. Would not ever have dreamt of using Sharpie! Thank you for this lovely video XXX
Susan, you're scaring me with this demo. Whenever I used sharpie markers on my gelli plate it left a stubborn stain. I had to scrub the plate with baby oil afterwards mixed with cursing. Your final result is terrific, but I think I'll stick with acrylic markers. Less mess and less frustration.
I had that happen with posca pens and the plate is still sitting there waiting for me to try to fix it. So I understand. For some reason this particular marker doesn't stain or stick. Here is the one I used. Sharpie 2 Pack 44101 Magnum Permanent Marker amzn.to/428uF2O
Greetings from Victoria, Australia. Thank you Susan!! This is the video I have been waiting for. I am inspired and keen to pursue this lovely craft further. In part due to your clear, concise and very interesting tutorial. Thank you.

Thanks. I am trying to do more that are real time. And when I speed up I will always tell you how long I waited for things to dry. Thanks for watching.
😎I am so glad to have found your site! Just getting into gel printing. I’ve only done it once, but love the outcome. I’d like to learn how to gel print on fabric.
Thank you so much. I hope you can make the zoom this Sunday. What time zone are you in? I'm going to alternate times on the zooms so everyone can join in.
So beautiful. You have inspired me to believe paint. I absolutely like all this art work. Does this come in a kit. I’m going to look for this right now. So amazing. I suffer with ptsd. I think this will be therapeutic. God bless you ❤ Thank you Suesan so much ❤ My 27 year old is autistic so this will be therapeutic & help him with the ADHD . You are truly a blessing. . I also suffer with 16 suyo -immune diseases & Im in bed quite a bit. I can do this in bed on a try. Easy leafy creating artistic beauty. I’m so excited. 😂❤
I can see where this can be therapeutic. Someone reached out recently to do a collaboration and she offers kits. So I may be doing a video on that in the near future. I don't have a link yet but will share that when I do.

Absolutely!
😊 your willingness to experiment and deal with “mistakes” in constructive ways is most inspiring!

😎 I never would have considered using a Sharpie on the gel plate. I love it. May have to try it with other colors of Sharpie too. Thank you.
I haven't tried that yet. Good idea.
Is this a permanent Sharpie?
😎 I loved watching. I'm a newbie. Gel plate comes today! Can't wait!
So much fun to watch and a lot of great ideas ❤

Way to go Susan. I appreciate seeing the real time, followed by faster film speed.😎
Awesome! Thank you! I think I will do more like this.
As a gelli plate beginner I found it very helpful that you also showed the drying time in real time. For me the most difficult part of gel plate printing is timing especially when to pull the print. Thank you for showing us.
You are so welcome! I also think it's important.

I love the music you chose to accompany you art making. I found it incredibly relaxing
I'm so glad! I get sometimes get negative comments about the music. But I like when there is some ambience.
😎 I really enjoy your videos. I like how you start in real time, explaining how long to wait in between pulls. I also like it when you speed it up afterwards. Keeps me glued to the screen. Now I'm going to get myself a fat sharpie and try it out. Thank you, Susan.
I think you will love it.
I like real time better bc then I don’t miss any commentary and you explain so well I don’t want to miss any tips!
You are new to my feed. Thank you for what you do. Love your first full layered pull. Had no idea that you could use a sharpie on the plate.
Welcome. Give sharpies a try. But not the oil based ones.

I like the combination of real and sped up time.

Collage, Collage, Collage. 😂
Just a little tip 🤪 put your plate on an acrylic sheet so you can turn it over no problem and see what you got🎉
I tired that and hated it. My plate moved on the table too much. But thanks for watching and your comment.
😎 What great results in this video. I think the first one was my favorite too.
😎 How exciting! I love printing and I'm still learning. ❤
Thanks for watching
Loved seeing how the sharpie was used to create the gelli print. I have lots of those with the smaller nibs that I can try😊
The sharpie is still my favorite thing to use on the gel plate. Enjoy.
😍😍 I love your videos and appreciate you sharing your techniques with us! That first print!!! Wow. I need some deli and rice paper.
My favorite is the deli paper. It took me a while to appreciate the rice paper. I love using it in collage.
😎The first one was definately my favorite. I had no idea you could use sharpies on the gel plate. Wow what new possabilities that open up. Thanks for the tutorial.
