    Thank you for sharing your art with us! I BEG you to never disparage your work! You are teaching all of us to PLAY, experiment. There is no right or wrong in art. It's just different, and I guarantee many of us, myself included loved all or most of your prints! I'm excited to go play with my gel plate!

    😊 your willingness to experiment and deal with “mistakes” in constructive ways is most inspiring!

    • @SusanCliftonArtist
      @SusanCliftonArtist  9 месяцев назад +1

      We learn from our mistakes so as an artist that is a very good thing. I try to experiment small and then when I'm working on a piece I plan to sell I know what to expect. Even then mistakes happen but they can always be fixed.

    I still can't believe you can use a permanent marker Sharpie on a gel plate! Doesn't it have to be cleaned and does it really come off the plate so easily? Is it just the Magnum brand that makes the difference?
    I love both speeds of your videos - first in real time, and then sped up! It helps to see a d solidify your process over and over! I love your calm, informative nature as well - such a joy to watch!

    Susan, you're scaring me with this demo. Whenever I used sharpie markers on my gelli plate it left a stubborn stain. I had to scrub the plate with baby oil afterwards mixed with cursing. Your final result is terrific, but I think I'll stick with acrylic markers. Less mess and less frustration.

    • @SusanCliftonArtist
      @SusanCliftonArtist  11 месяцев назад

      I had that happen with posca pens and the plate is still sitting there waiting for me to try to fix it. So I understand. For some reason this particular marker doesn't stain or stick. Here is the one I used. Sharpie 2 Pack 44101 Magnum Permanent Marker amzn.to/428uF2O
