    I watched this video a while ago and it convinced me to get one of these! It's gorgeous -- thanks for the overview!!!
    I finally got around to integrating it into my studio. The Bitwig Hw fx device is perfect. I've never used it before -- amazed how easy and convenient it is to use. I'm using the channels 3 and 4 of a 4 channel audio interface.
    I generally prefer software synths and effects in my studio. The two exceptions are the Microcosm and my TI Virus Snow, both because I just love the sound so much.

      Hi Peter, congrats on the Microcosm!!! yeah some hardware synths and effects are just more convenient to use and has a distinct sound. Same for me with the Summit, Zoia and the Microcosm. The tactile experience is also very fun and convenient. No mapping needed. Just turn some knobs and fire away! Thanks for writing!☀️🥳🥁

    how do I connect an apollo twin x to the Microcosm pedal in order to get sound ?

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  2 года назад

      1. Run a synth / guitar /voice or whatever into the Microcosm.
      2. Connect Stereo Output from Microcosm to stereo input on Apollo Twin X.
      3. Setup Apollo Twin X audio inputs in your DAW of choice.
      4. Press record in DAW.
      5. Should get effected audio from microcosm into your audio interface and on the timeline (or clip launcher) of your daw.
      Did that solve your problem Wyld?

      @@MattiasHolmgren I’m
      More of a visual guy . It would nice if you do a tutorial on that subject since a lot of people start to use guitar pedal to add effects to their synth inside their daw.

    • @MattiasHolmgren

      Ahh ok, then you would be sending an output from the Apollo to the Microcosm and then stereo out from Micro to Apollo inputs. Yeah, maybe I can do a video o setting this routing up.

    Hi Mattias, Now that you have had the Microcosm after 6 months what is your take now? I am considering adding to my studio. I plan to use it within my DAW sending output and back input. I use Live 11 as my primary Daw with a Push 2.

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  2 года назад +1

      Hi Stephanie, after having the Microcosm for quite some time now Ive settled on using it sparingly as a creative effect on selected parts. Most often I tend to use the reverb of it. Its gorgeous and lush. But most of the delays and variations are just too over the top and live their life of their own = you are not in control. So the delays I use sparingly. But it sounds lovely in all its variations. Hope that makes sense ☀️🥁

    • @StephanieSante
      @StephanieSante 2 года назад

      @@MattiasHolmgren Makes perfect sense. I have decided to no purchase Microcosm. I mostly use Valhalla and Fors effects and some Ableton. That works well. I think the Microcosm is cool but definitely moves everything strongly in a certain direction. I think most of the "influencers" on YT really have GAS and so they alway gush on how great things are at first. However after a year or less the items are usually sold. That really says a lot. I really appreciate your reviews after you have had something awhile and that you actually purchase them yourself. I think no matter what any influencer says if the received the item Free it is bound to influence their review at least to some extent. Thank you for everything you do.

      Yeah it’s a really inspiring granular delay / looper to enhance simple melodies, arpeggios and process drums through. From soft to glitchy effects. Glad u enjoyed the presentation. Thanks Jerry! ☕️🥳

    Wondering if they can replace the LP filter with HP one. The pedal produces so many lows, making it unusable in realtime if you have other low register instruments.

    • @MattiasHolmgren
      @MattiasHolmgren  3 года назад

      How do you connect it in your setup Alexander? I have it connected via separate inputs into my DAW so its easy to add an eq on it if you want to get rid of lows. I also have an external 16 channel Mackie VLZ mixer when mixing live synth performances. 🥳🥁

    • @Tvaroh
      @Tvaroh 3 года назад

      @@MattiasHolmgren of course I can do it with post-processing, but that would require running it 100% wet then mixing the dry signal manually if I want to avoid EQying the raw signal. Too much of a hassle for such an expensive pedal.

  • @Tvaroh
    @Tvaroh 3 года назад

    Hey Mattias, do you know if one can use just the reverb (space) w/o any other of 11 effect algorithms?

    • @PeterHamlin
      @PeterHamlin 2 года назад

      You can use Glitch/Blocks/1 with Activity/Shape/Repeats all turned full to the left.
      (The other presets all change the sound, even in the lowest settings.) I can see why you want to do this -- the reverb is gorgeous!
