I was in preschool in the 1950s when this show was on. I was home mornings except for two days a week. My mother used to listen to this show when I was home, so I listened too. I don't remember a lot of detail, but there was a story line when Helen Trent was going to marry some crazy guy who was secretly planning to strangle her after they were married. I remember him saying to himself that it would be "so beautiful when he got his hands around her beautiful white throat". There was also "Our Gal Sunday", "Ma Perkins", and "Lorenzo Jones and His Wife Bell".
