I use a cigar holder made out of meerschaum. Some people say it's a healthier way to smoke the cigar (no tobacco on your lips or in your mouth). Some people smoke their cigar the traditional way by putting the cigar directly in their mouth, but when the cigar becomes short and gets hot, they will insert it in a cigar holder to allow them to finish the rest of the cigar. Now if I was smoking a $2.00 cigar, I wouldn't care if there was waste. If I'm smoking a $10.00 or more cigar I use the holder to get my money worth. The only draw back to a cigar holder, which to me isn't a big deal, is that after 4 or 5 cigars you need to run a pipe cleaner through it to clean out all the tar built up. They also come in a variety of materials, such as, meerschaum, briar, silver, gold, acrylic, ivory. The material you choose is preference. I use meerschaum because it's porous and absorbs the tar and juices. Hope this helps.

what do you think of using a pipe for the last part of your cigars it seems to be getting popular in the UK?

I'll be honest, I've actually never heard of that. I'd have to give that a try to see what I really think about it. Have you used this method before?

I've done it a couple of times and have a few cigar friends that do it when the cigar gets lower very much smoking it too the very last bit of tobacco @@CigarTitans

@@e1pbsed I'm always willing to try something new. I typically like my cigar smoke to be cool, so I'm not sure how that would taste in a pipe! Definitely an interesting way to finish a cigar!
