Probably just bad luck, but my came with a faulty battery, tech support can't send it, they say I have to buy it locally and then pay for it (but you can't get it locally either). Moreover, the visibility of the green laser of this model is very poor. Indoor, on the wall it is almost invisible 5 meters away and outdoor is invisible 2 meters away. Probably faulty piece, waiting for reply from their technicians Right now, I am not very happy with this one. But so far all the way to tech support, which is trying to sort it out.
I bought Huepar S04CG and just today tried to use it for the first time on a job. Using brand new Duracell AA batteries, the unit shut down after less than 30 minutes run time. (It dhad done the same when I first tried it with the OEM supplied off-brand AA's, which is why I went to the Duracells.) Do these symptoms sound familiar, and do you have any idea why this would happen? I am currently charging the provided Li-ion battery, giving it the initial 24 hour charging the manual recommends. Hopefully, it will run much longer. But if it will not run as long as promised on AA's, this will be an ongoing problem when I might need to count on AA's to get through the work day. Thanks.
He's testing for our benefit. It has a moisture rating. If a little moisture hurts it, we'll simply know not to use it outdoors if it starts raining. Knowing a drip or drizzle won't harm it is a plus. Who does that anyway. If I was building a high school or a hospital, I'd be spending many thousands on a waterproof, fireproof, earthquake proof Lazer. I bet a bag of rice fixes it. Looks more as if if the battery died, nothing to do with moisture. I just bought the 3 plane 603 cg by I've only had mine a few days and I'm liking it. The battery life and the ability to plug it in if the battery dies sold me. Checking out my old mobile home at night showed me an easy 130 feet of readable distance, confirmed by my Leica laser measuring tool.... ...which will see no more rain than my Canon F1 😁
Construction still happens in the rain. They claim it's IP 4 so it should be able to handle this fine. And yes pro level cameras are weather sealed and would most likely hold up to rain like this some photographers also use their cameras in the rain.
I review and test tools. It says it could handle this water so I tested it. Hueper even did their own video where they did they same thing recently which I laughed at.
@@AddictedtoTools I don't know why people question you doing this. If it did happen to be set up outside and started to drizzle or mist... The information you provided would give a little comfort. You're absolutely right doing this test.
I don't believe this model is of worksite standard. It's for home DIY and is priced as such. Do some research and you will quickly find that the "better", pricier brands aimed at the construction industry are also build way tougher internally and some even have fall test data. This unit does NOT have that. I won't ever subject my laser level to water nor even my IP68 smart phone if i can prevent it. Watering the unit for a review is a little bit dumb imo. Let owners kill their own lasers. It's not just that though, the mirrors can get fogged up or attract dust when wet and electrical shorts can happen to the best of 'em. Its a lose - lose situation. By the way Addicted, if you don't mention the price we will never know what you paid for it WHEN YOU ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT. Links go to current prices not when you purchased and your links point to a US site so thanks for supporting your Own Aussie viewers, NOT. In mid 2024 I paid AU$281 delivered online in Oz.
Hey mate. Thanks for the feedback even if it’s a little abrupt. We use 3 of these on commercial construction sites. Been used for a few years now. When it comes to the link. At the time they were only available in the USA. The price was about the same as what you paid. Have a great night, Matt.

Thanks.
So don’t spray your laser with a water hose and you’ll be fine. Got it.
What? This is a review
Treat it like a camera. Wait. He sprayed his camera on purpose???
I’ve never sprayed any of my Nikons with a hose. 😢😢
I just bought the 3 plane 603 cg by
I've only had mine a few days and I'm liking it.
Drop it and you lose all 😅
I don't believe this model is of worksite standard.
I agree it’s not as durable as more expensive versions, but not everyone is chasing that. The water test was to test what was written. Thats what I do as someone who tests tools. When it comes to the link. At the time they were only available in the USA. The price was about the same as what you paid.
Have a great night,
Matt.
@@AddictedtoTools Just wanted to drop a comment to say thanks for the video. Three questions. Did they ever replace the unit? Did I read it right that you are still using this brand? Did you ever compare it to the Milwaukee or Dewalt? It was mentioned in the video but I did not find one like that.
Buy cheap, buy twice. I don't learn, SMH.
Those laser are crap a little bump and they done
Cheap junk is all these are.
Thats doom thinking man😁
11:07 - Just use igelit (hdpe or ldpe) bag to make it waterproof.
