Love your Lovebites reactions / breakdowns! I'm no musician but I love what M&M do at the end. Miyako doing the main riff and Midori solo'ing over it or they're alternating, my layman's interpretation. Miyako does something similar at the end of shadowmaker where she adds solo bits in between Asami's vocals. Something I'm nearly 100% certain about and would bet a beer on, is Haruna's stick twirls / over the head motions are to keep time since this is a much slower pace than most of their songs. Haruna normally plays so fast these tactics must help her keep the cadence. They are all phenomenal musicians, every single one of them...having Fami join is almost a dream. Miyako does it all and is virtuoso obviously (never be another), but Haruna is the MVP in my eyes. She is in a league of her own in the metal genre. Her double kick is as good as anyone yet her cymbal accent work is unmatched, it's not even close. I love Dave Lombardo (Slayer dr), but he's known primarily for the double kick. Look at the drummer from UTA (who I like), Haruna has more cymbals than his entire kit. Just another perspective. Most Metal drummers are known for double kick and how hard / fast they hit. Haruna has taken it to another level with placements / accent timings. Again, just a layman's opinion. 🙂 Great reaction, they never disappoint! You should check out Winds of Transylvania live for some serious guitar work. 🤘
Love this song! Haruna, Haruna, Haruna! Oh how I love Haruna! Her happy little self is just killing it back there and throws in stick twirls for show! Her fills are just out of this world. Oh, the rest of the band is great too.

There are now four new live videos from the upcoming live album "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate", performed on March 11th, 2023, released on August 23rd, 2023. With this, you've already reacted to two of them: "Nameless Warrior" and "Liar". The other ones are "The Hammer Of Wrath" and "Judgement Day". They have the new lineup with bassist Fami, and they are very energetic and full of fun to play after 2 years of hiatus and first with Fami. Audience as well. There was a release party on their channel on Saturday (August 12th, 2023) 9pm JST (8am EST) with the whole album shown and band members in chat: ruclips.net/video/HcPCUXA3Leo/видео.html (Link was removed after the show). The was a live stream to the current show in Tokyo on September 24th, 2023, as well (available until October 1st, 2023). But that's history now... If not the new stuff, the next on the list "Swan Song (with Chopin intro)" is a must-see!
Hi from France: I'm an old rock fan, I started at the very beginning of the sixties. I had the chance to see a lot of groups on stage and to follow the evolution of this musics that I love. And Lovebites is a band that I love. I have been doing it since 2018, which is already more than 5 years now. I have all their CDs, EPs and DVDs (and even more, but shush!). Live, all five of them are extraordinarily virtuoso in their field. Nothing to question. I also like the clever use of live backing tracks. But rock in all its forms since the origin also leaves room for improvisation, not as much as jazz nor, conversely, the rigor of classical music, but still. Now when listening to Lovebites on stage, I have the impression of hearing a perfectly oiled machine, almost inhuman. Too perfect and without fragility.. Only Asami tries new and risky things with her voice, it's often surprising and it's perfect! Why not other female musicians? But what I miss most in this group is precisely the windows of improvisation. No free solo from Haruna, no moment of freedom for the bass,. From one concert to the next, the two guitarists are identical to themselves, brilliant, virtuoso, talented, but over time this risks losing the taste. Look, for example, at the sudden madness that Kanami or Misa from Band Maid can unleash on stage! When Kanami lets go, it's delirium and almost a trance! Pure pleasure! The crazy escapades of the Nemophila musicians, sometimes unmanageable, who jump and sometimes even improvise. This is pure rock! I would say the same thing for groups like Asterism or Sokoninaru, on stage it's dynamite! You never know what will happen! The worst and the best, and the best always wins... Lovebites are certainly the best thing to happen to the rock world in recent years, but more freedom on stage and this band would be the true giants of the scene. Thank you and enjoy Wolfpack! (Sorry for the Google translation, I hope I wasn't betrayed in my review.)
You are right in what you say. But I think that's because of the mentality of many Japanese. Improvisation is chaos and Japanese hate chaos. Even in blues, jazz/fusion you can see and hear that in Japan. I think Lovebites perfection comes from the order in the process. If the order were interrupted, her perfection would be lost and Miyako would not like that at all. I am afraid they hate improvising ... 🎵😂🎶
It's true for Miyako, she has the roots of a concert artist in her. Everything comes down to precision and rigor, while adding feeling. But we can sense in Midori a greater possibility of improvisation. As a reference, her solo and especially her outro in "Epilogue" live in 2019... (Sorry google trad, etc.)@@gitterich
Another great reaction and I always appreciate you guys supporting LOVEBITES by playing their music! Regarding their style and music cadence, J-MELO did a great interview with the band in 2018 where Miyako explains how she writes in the pentatonic scale (apparently preferred by Japanese people) and then has to work to fit English lyrics in. Video of the interview is not long and easy to find here on YT!🤘
1. There's no improvisation, it's always been like that. 2. I LOVE the outro a lot. I know very little about music theory and I don't find anything off about it. I think there's another key change at the last vocal note ?
Great reaction as usual! Thanks! Lovebites proved they could survive a bass player change, I'm not so sure about a drummer change. Haruna is too integral to the sound of the band. Just a beast behind the kit. In other reaction videos I have commented on how I would love to hear the contrast between single coil & humbuckers. I got my wish and it sounds incredible. Only problem is I didn't envision Miyako playing the singles. As far as Midori & Miyako are concerned, their proficiency on their guitars is unparalleled. I like the different dynamic style between the two of them. Midori is all about the speed where as Miyako is all about the feel. My guess is Miyako writes her solo's on piano first, then transcribes them to guitar. I would love to hear Jill (Unlucky Morpheus) play one of her solo's. I think it would transition really well.
they call Midori the shredder and Miyako is the golden touch more Melodic. Both are great and feed off eachother Haruna is just a nuclear reactor back there never misses
Asami just sing with eyes shout to just hear her voice sound (so professional) AMAZING BEGINNIG OF THAT SOUND What's happens after Asami solo it's just AMAZING sound Lovebites are fun and so good to listen to THey all Asami Haruna Mijako Midori and fantastic Fami in this song i'm so happy that Lovebites has been searching for a very good bass player she is perfect lovebites band member .......
you can tell with the songs that they put out recently where fami sort of hangs back would be likely due to her having to work alittle bit harder than the others with how new she is to the band and has alot of songs to catch up on. going forward hopefully her playing personality will come more to the fore with songs that have her playing style taken into account when they are written. she has done well to pick up and fit into the band as well as she has i look forward to seeing more of her
Of all the reactions you’ve done I’m curious how some of them have inspired your own writing in your band. Are there any ideas you’ve borrowed? As a guitar player myself. I love how this band (and others) can play the duel parts so well live without weird phasing issues. It’s so easy to mess that up. I prefer having a second guitarist when writing music. It’s nice to have someone to bounce ideas off of and I think helps the writing process along.
Absolutely an awesome song by Lovebites, I loved the earlier versions of it with the Piano intro, but at the same time love how Asami opens it. Miyako & Midori are a great team, probably the best twin guitar solos in the business. Midori melts your face & Miyako melts your heart! They take turns taking solos and rhythm parts but my fave is their synchronized harmonies.
It's just my baseless imagination, but I feel like LOVEBITES doesn't do much improvisation. Everything about their performance seems calculated and executed. (Of course, no one other than them will know the truth) I think so because considering their personalities, I imagine that they would not do anything that might disrupt the concentration of other members. In the first place, one of the characteristics of the band LOVEBITES is that I feel that they don't like ``individual performers strongly promoting their talents'' like many bands do at live performances. (Personally, I don't dislike players who assert themselves, but...) I think the purpose of the members of LOVEBITES is purely focused on ``playing the song to its highest degree of perfection.'' Masu. (This may be a kind of prejudice that takes too much into account the personality of Japanese people, but...) ---------- from Nippon *This is a text using Google Translate. I hope I conveyed my intentions correctly.
Haruna ????? ther's not much to say she is AMAZING and NOT HUMAN ...she is a machine gun on the drummers ...wooooooowww ------she is the one ho give the beat to all Band,, she is a natural metronome born ....Fantastic Haruna That's little i think about her skill ........................````````

If not mistaken, Asami already is a well trained as an acapella/r&b singer before joining Lovebites. Haruna simply looks 'macho' and sounds hard when she starts drumming. Fami power bass sync perfectly with Haruna and M&M. It's a Miyako written song (dark haired guitarist). What a stunning performance. Thanks guys👍🤘
Midori The blonde started to learn guitar at age 20. Midori is a graduate of Musicians Institute Japan in Osaka. Generally speaking, Midori said that she plays the "flashy and aggressive" guitar solos in Lovebites, while Miyako plays the "slower, more melodic" ones. "I like weird phrases, weird solos, and punchy stuff rather than classic pentatonic solos", Midori always writes her own guitar solos, and has stated, I want to play phrases that make guitar kids think, 'What is this?'" Midori is known for her technical proficiency and the use of various techniques in her guitar playing, such as legato, string skipping, sweep picking, tapping, eight-finger tapping and use of vibrato arms. As Midori speaks English, she helps write the band's lyrics, which are usually written in Japanese before being translated into English.
Hello. (sry if my English is not perfect, not native tongue). I've discoverd this band few months ago with "react chan". I usually like harder things. But they are soooo goood, i'm completely sucked in. And like always you guys are interesting and entertaining.
About hte guitars it's right wht you say Mijako has one style and Midory has another style, they are both AMZING and one of the best world guitars players ...(i'ts my personal opinion).
You are correct in assuming they are equally on par with each other but incorrect in assuming Midori is the one who does most of the tapping, they both are excellent at it but Miyako is the one who does most of the tapping, Midori is a natural born shredder and utilizes the fret board like no other. While Miyako is the deeper and more soulful shredder
Let's agree again 😂 Midori is the most efficient I have ever seen from a shredder, staying in a short space and not moving all the way up and down the fret. Just amazing finger speed (which Miyako is much closer now thanks to her lessons from Midori).
LOVEBITES make difficult things look easy! Asami the singer has sufficient ability、like great Ronnie James Dio! Off course Asami & the other members do thier best everytime、for us‼️
Midori is not improvising, she’s playing a faster counterpoint. And it’s possible that Haruna’s stick trick is an aide memoir for an uneven beat because she does it for most of the song, and she’s not really a flashy player.

The part that you said "sounds improvised"...it's not! Everytime I have watched a video of them doing this song, it is EXACTLY the same way all the time.
Midori is not improvising at the end. She is playing it the way it was written. Perfectly! Keep up the reactions guys. Great job!
Miyako and Midori spent countless hours together playing guitar sessions, which hones their synchronicity when playing live. Almost too perfectly, some have suggested that their brains are connected by bluetooth. 😂

LOVEBITES - Liar lyrics:
I always thought that you were my knight in shining armour
Took away my sorrow to feel I was your queen
Court jester
Hey I still can't believe you did this to me
Exiled from our castle as you crucified me
An executioner of every oath and vow of love
You played me
A sorcerer's enchanted spell's the iron maiden
And the ruler of my heart
You're just a liar
A slayer of the soul
Regret the day I ever looked inside of your eyes, yeah
You're just a liar
There's so much that I didn't wanna know
But then you let me go
Cause you're just a liar
I'm fallen
Still wondering why you'd wanna do this to me
Reminded though it's tormenting my sanity now
A blasphemy
Nothing but a facade, a fake reality spun
I wish that I could put this pain into a spell of
Blackest magic on your heart
You're just a liar
A slayer of the soul
Still can't believe it took so long to see your disguise, yeah
You're just a liar
There's so much that I didn't wanna know
But then you let me go
Cause you're just a liar
SOLO: miyako / both
You're just a liar
A slayer of the soul
Regret the day I ever looked inside of your eyes, yeah
You're just a liar
There's so much that I didn't wanna know

Just a lie
You're just a liar

There are now four new live videos from the upcoming live album "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate", performed on March 11th, 2023, released on August 23rd, 2023. With this, you've already reacted to two of them: "Nameless Warrior" and "Liar". The other ones are "The Hammer Of Wrath" and "Judgement Day".
They have the new lineup with bassist Fami, and they are very energetic and full of fun to play after 2 years of hiatus and first with Fami. Audience as well.
There was a release party on their channel on Saturday (August 12th, 2023) 9pm JST (8am EST) with the whole album shown and band members in chat:
ruclips.net/video/HcPCUXA3Leo/видео.html (Link was removed after the show). The was a live stream to the current show in Tokyo on September 24th, 2023, as well (available until October 1st, 2023). But that's history now...
If not the new stuff, the next on the list "Swan Song (with Chopin intro)" is a must-see!
Haruna without gloves!
great and enjoyable reaction, guys.
Hi from France:
I'm an old rock fan, I started at the very beginning of the sixties.
“Today is the Day” for more Haruna stick tricks :)
Haruna flips the sticks all through the live performance of Today's The Day from Ride for Vengeance from 2021
Another great reaction and I always appreciate you guys supporting LOVEBITES by playing their music!
The song is played basically note for note. It’s perfectly rehearsed though and they played it perfectly to the point.
Haruna is also the co-founder, difficult to replace a member so core to the fabric of the band.
New subscriber.. I love how your guys notice every instrument. Most of these channels only notice the guitars. The unsung hero is the drums.
they call Midori the shredder and Miyako is the golden touch more Melodic.
Fami had to quickly learn how to gallop on the bass, when she joined Lovebites. She wasn't doing "power metal" stuff before Lovebites.
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
Just awesome review!!
Midori and Miyako when harmonizing guitar solos are like having two bodies and one brain
I have heard that Lovebites go to USA September 6 & 7, 2024. We also need them to come to Europe.
you can tell with the songs that they put out recently where fami sort of hangs back would be likely due to her having to work alittle bit harder than the others with how new she is to the band and has alot of songs to catch up on. going forward hopefully her playing personality will come more to the fore with songs that have her playing style taken into account when they are written. she has done well to pick up and fit into the band as well as she has i look forward to seeing more of her
Of all the reactions you’ve done I’m curious how some of them have inspired your own writing in your band.
Midori is the blonde guitarist best way to remember them is (M&M)
Haruna has been told by the UN not to play any drum solos because they could damage the planet.
😂😂 agree to that
Absolutely an awesome song by Lovebites, I loved the earlier versions of it with the Piano intro, but at the same time love how Asami opens it.
(Of course, no one other than them will know the truth)
I think so because considering their personalities, I imagine that they would not do anything that might disrupt the concentration of other members. (This may be a kind of prejudice that takes too much into account the personality of Japanese people, but...)

It's not a strat, but a custom Infinite. Infinite specializes in custom instruments.
Must admit I enjoy Sam's reactions - they're just enough 😉
Thank you for your reaction to LOVEBITES.

Miyako like wood grain, so this guitar is also painted in Ice Metallic Blue with a semi-open bore finish using nitro-cellulose lacquer that brings out the grain of the wood.
Kogiku, a traditional construction method with a history of more than 1,000 years, is a technique in which three mortises and grooves (convexes and concave) are placed on top of each other.
This construction method is used for the neck and body of the guitar.
The "Kogiku Logic" is the use of this construction method for the neck and body of a guitar.
Fortunately nobody told Ritchie Blackmore "Don't improvise!!!" 😂😂
Guys I'm telling you check out winds of transylvania live it will blow your mind.
Hello. (sry if my English is not perfect, not native tongue). I've discoverd this band few months ago with "react chan". I usually like harder things. But they are soooo goood, i'm completely sucked in. And like always you guys are interesting and entertaining.
Miyako - Garry Moore japanese femal version 😎
And it’s possible that Haruna’s stick trick is an aide memoir for an uneven beat because she does it for most of the song, and she’s not really a flashy player.
fyi my fav Epica song is Sensorium live but im pickin Visions of Atlantis Clocks offical video for Sam
2024年の9月にアメリカのロックフェスPROGPOWER USA2024に行くことが決まったみたいですね。
It seems that it has been decided that you will be going to the American rock festival PROGPOWER USA2024 in September 2024.
:)
The part that you said "sounds improvised"...it's not! Everytime I have watched a video of them doing this song, it is EXACTLY the same way all the time.
So many Pauses 😅😅😅😅
Just an Iron Maiden clone..even the vocals are just like Bruce...granted they are excellent musicians.
doesn't sound like anything Iron Maiden
Love bites is to power metal for me, it's like dungeon and dragons nerds power metal
You should ban @ingopek5485 as this person or whatever trolls Lovebites reactions with nothing but hate and negativity.
