That's the sort of self deprecating thing I would expect a Japanese person to say about themselves. Anyways, a flashy bassist counts for something in metal. Thanks for your reaction. 'Awake Again Live from Abyss' is a concert that took place on October 25, 2020. This concert was dedicated to the 3rd anniversary of the release of the first Studio Album LOVEBITES 'Awakening from Abyss' (October 25, 2017). During the concert, LOVEBITES performed all the songs from the Album 'Awakening from Abyss' (in the same order) + the song of the band HELLOWEEN 'Eagle Fly Free' (1988) . Due to the ban on public events in Japan (Covid-19 pandemic), LOVEBITES were unable to perform in concert halls. Therefore, the band gave a concert in the studio, which was broadcast live on the Internet. The concert was released on DVD and Blu-ray 'Awake Again - Live from Abyss' (December 25, 2020)
Thanks for reacting to this one guys, this cover has become one of my favourite Lovebites tracks on its own merits, even before I eventually checked out the Helloween original! I urge you to follow this up (while the song is fresh in your minds) with Miyako's astonishing piano cover. She reinterprets all of those solos, including the bass tapping line, on the keyboard, and turns it into a classical masterpiece in the process. Miyako is holding a piano recital in Tokyo this month, which has long since sold out. The EP this is from, Etude Op.23, includes piano covers of Metallica (Battery), Deep Purple (Burn), Gary Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen. She is truly a musical prodigy. I'll add the link to Eagle Fly Free. Cheers.
Helloween is Haruna‘s favorite metal band and Ingo the original drummer is maybe her main influence. Both bands know each other since they both played at Wacken 2018. Haruna and Miyako went to see Helloween’s concert in Osaka just 2 months ago. They‘ve met with all band members backstage. Miyako also was out for a drink with Helloween’s bassist Markus the night before.
Actually, in 1996, Ingo was already dead, so it was Uli Kusch, who's drum playing Haruna admired, and what made her starting her own drumming career. I was in this confusion as well, but both drummers were epic!
If I remember correctly, guitarist Michael Weikath had some great things to say about Lovebites when they released "Awakening from Abyss", that was 2017.

This cover meets the original. I find Miho's work on the bass guitar amazing. You can constantly hear her beside the other guitars, contributing to the main melodies, like in Helloween's original. This cover shows, that _Helloween_ belongs to the timeless giants of Metal. And it shows, that Lovebites _honor_ them (and that is just right), and that they are even with Helloween, technically. Hats off! *Nemophila* did an awesome Helloween cover, too. 😁
Thank you for paying attention to Miho and Haruna.👍👍Usually the main focus is on the guitarists and vocalists. In the case of LOVEBITES, it's well deserved. Without a doubt, Midori (my favorite band member #1), Miyako and Asami (my favorite band member #2) are great. But as for this video, I want to say, first of all, about Miho and Haruna. Miho and Haruna were able to show off their skills in this song with their bass and drum solos. It's a shame that LOVEBITES has very few songs that feature Miho and Haruna solos. Miho and Haruna are a great rhythm section. They are a powerful, reliable foundation on which the tall edifice of LOVEBITES was built. Largely thanks to the excellent rhythm section (Miho and Haruna), the other members of the band were able to realize themselves as musicians, show their skills, and shine on stage. Unfortunately, many fans do not understand what a huge contribution Miho made to the success and international recognition of LOVEBITES ( as a musician, as a songwriter, as the leader and "brains" of the band). Miho is a reliable, great metal bassist, but not all fans admit it. Sometimes I think: "Maybe these fans have hearing problems?"🤔

It was a live concert that was broadcast live over the Internet. At the same time, recording was taking place for the subsequent release of the concert on DVD/Blu-ray. The studio space is small compared to the concert hall. The screen for the drummer allows you to get a cleaner and better sound. The screen prevents unnecessary noise and interference from entering the recording, which improves the overall level of sound recording. This is especially important when recording live sound.

I agree with you about Miho. I think LOVEBITES lost a lot with her passing. There was more variety of musical material on the Albums and EPs of the 'Miho Era'. im not a musician so maybe someone could tell me why the drummer is behind the glass? enclosure. thanks
I'm not a musician either. My guess for the screen is probably for sound isolation recording so to facilitate post production mixing.
Thanks for explaining this to me. Makes perfect sense now
@raybl9295 thanks Ray makes sense now
@@manrayma Always happy to share information. If you have any more questions, ask. If I know the answers to the questions, I'll tell you 🙂
thanks for your great reaction. haruna is a huge helloween fan.
great cover , but you have to check out the original if u missed it
I love Miyaku
🎉🎉🎉
Pls react to Helloween's halloween reunited live..
I miss Miho , she was more thrash true metal and less power metal . The new album with Fami is more power metal , not famis fault but no Miho influence and the band went full power metal . Now they are dungeon and dragons nerd metal
Dissonance
I agree with you about Miho. I think LOVEBITES lost a lot with her passing. There was more variety of musical material on the Albums and EPs of the 'Miho Era'. There is especially a lack of songs (including thrash) that Miho could write. But the band is still great. Maybe LOVEBITES will write thrash songs again.
Do you know, that Miho is with "Chaos Control" now? I find their song "The legacy within" very impressive.
@@boyzyu that is not thrash , it does not hold a candle to even break the wall , you want to hear heavy go listen to slaughter to prevail and you will realize dissonance sounds like a pop song compared to that .
@@hardknox1917 Have to disagree with you, Dissonance is thrash, very reminiscent of old Metallica with a new spin
