This song seems like it was written to bring out Asami's soul and R&B background. Listen to the choruses again, it's alike a gospel revival.
They even have a breakdown video of their equipment when Miho was still with them in 2019
Hadn't noticed it before, but now that you mentioned STP I can hear the similarity, maybe Interstate Love Song.
The Memorial For the Warriors Soul DVD also releases Aug 28, along with the new EP. Recorded last Sep, 2 videos from that are out already, "We Are The Resurrection" and "Rising". 2nd video from the EP, for Soul Defender, should be out then too.

Midori is a Japanese pro bikini fitness competitor. They arent into roids or chemical enhancements its all natural and the women she competes with are No Joke. Midori may only weigh 90lb's but it is all core muscle mass and ridiculously well defined.

Thanks guys, musicians always make the best reactions. September 1st, Tokyo Garden Theatre is a stone cold certainty for Unchained making its live debut. And im already in Japan gearing up for it!

I am sure, the TGT (Tokyo Garden Theater) show will be LONGER than usual, and it will probably be recorded. There may also be a chance for the performance of some of the great "piano supported songs". I don't know, if you've noticed, but the full set in Europe and Korea didn't contain one of these (well, "Rising" was in there, but in a modified version!).
The full set in Europe/Korea was 14 songs plus "The Awakening" (2 songs Encore) = 15 for the club shows (ca. 1:25 hours), reduced for the festivals to 10 for 1 hour (Roskilde), 9 for 50 mins (Imperium, Cartagena), 8 for 45 mins (Resurrection, Viveiro), 6 for 30 mins (Hellfest, Clisson). Don't commit me to the times, that is what I remember, and I didn't write it down! But there's a good chance, they are correct! As a headliner on ProgPower USA, they'll get what? 1 hour? There may be new material, that they've premiered 5 days before in Tokyo, but generally, I would expect the Roskilde schedule (10 songs). For Tokyo (September 1st), it would surprise me, if the whole show wasn't between 1:40 and 2 hours long! This is the main event for LOVEBITES 2024! On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised to be surprised!

This track has pretty much everything - a seamless and innovative blend of AOR/heavy rock, speed-power metal, and a bit of thrash thrown in at the breakdown before the solos. At the same time, it's got a catchy hook to make this an awesome LIVE song in the making.
The only negative thing I could say about this song is: I wish it were longer! ☺
When it ends, I want more, so I just listen to it again. It's so catchy.

If you want a bass solo. Check out Fami channel. She done a cover of Alien Alien when she was 17 and in high school. Before she was chosen by Lovebites.
Not sure anyone told you "never listen to the MVs"--most of those are great too. Its just that their live clips are so amazing, especially compared with most bands who fall short in live performance.
Another reactor said that heavy groove breakdown reminded him of Pantera, and I think I'd agree.
Pantera it is, the song is Mouth For War from the album Vulgar Display of Power.. very very similar

For "Unchained", it's a little too early, but 18 months ago, we've said that about "Soldier Stands Solitarily", the closing song of new LP "Judgement Day". The time has come, it was released yesterday as a live version (from "Memorial For The Warrior Souls", available on August 28th, 2024). The official live video is on LOVEBITES' RUclips channel.

It is reassuring to see the reaction of the musicians. To those who can't process the amount of information in this song, it sounds like just another pop song. But this is a difficult, nasty metal song masquerading as a pop song.
It is because of the catchy lyrics and notations that make some people judge this song as a pop song, but for many reasons I don't agree.. they just don't know how a good metal song is constructed.. and I'm pretty sure when this band perform this song live, they'll change their mind for good...

This song is “Golden Destination” and “Don’t Bite the Dust” thrown into a blender. Even the video reminds the viewer of the latter song’s video, and that makes sense. Otherwise, it’s standard LOVEBITES, for better or worse. I would have liked to have seen Fami be given a bit more room, but at least in this song, she’s playing a part that sounds like nearly any given Miho bassline.
Please check out Miyako right after guitar solos end and the chorus begins. Watch her feet !! She's dancing & does a few hops. 🤤😲😎
