People can think that Bobby was so fortunate to be around Eric, George etc. and he was BUT they were also very fortunate to be around him.
I believe they all felt that way about him!

As a teenager listening to all those great albums: Delaney & Bonnie & Friends, Derek and the Dominoes and All Things Must Pass, I always noticed Bobby Whitlock in album personnel credits along with the other 'regulars' and I just loved that sound. A great time in music history. I'm looking forward to the new, remixed reissue of All Things Must Pass!

Both Bobby and George were souls with empathy and warmth. It is no surprise there's this mutual admiration. A few days ago I watched a 1-min video with Ringo describing his last visit with an ailing George in Switzerland and it was heartbreaking to see Ringo crying. It seems when Ringo told George he's going to Boston to see his daughter ailing with a brain tumor, George asked "You want me to go with you?". (I myself had tears in my eyes). Here's a man who's in his last days of life but wanting to be with his friend at his hour of need! That's what made George special. The man is beautiful inside out.

Just found out about this RUclips channel, and quite enjoy it. Bobby Whitlock is a living legend, folks, and younger musicians need to realize that men like this were the architects of some amazing music that existed before MTV,corporate “privileges” for signed artists,no roadmaps, google,or an established “genre”- they flew by “the seat of their pants” and created the magic eveynight;no pre-recorded “backing tracks” ,auto tune to cover up for a lack of talent with this generation. In addition to his musical gifts,Bobby is an amazing artist as well;I find so many images in his abstract paintings, and that’s a gift as well. Behind every good man,is an even greater woman, and Bobby’s blessed to have Coco at his side. Keep on sharing, you guys!

I like that song too. Don’t think it’s bible gum. I think Paul took criticism from John and maybe George for writing more pop-flavored songs. It was common critique. Can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying your videos, Bobby and CoCo. Bobby, you were my inspiration when I was a young keyboard player/singer in the early 70s. I did have some success in the late 70s and early 80s, only to find that what gave me true satisfaction in life was a natural partner and best friend, and my child. But always, making music - but not to be known or a star. But simply because it's inside me and has to come out. To do so is incredibly liberating. How wonderful to see that you not only survived, but have amassed such a treasure trove of incredible stories, but also insight, sanity and, dare I say it, wisdom. Again, wonderful to hear your stories and see that the genuine joy and contentment in your spirit lives and thrives. Keep on Growing!

Howdy folks! Mark here again one of only I'm sure 10,000 Mark's that have replied to you. But Bobby, I've been digging your self titled 1972 solo record for about the past 3 weeks maybe you can talk about the making of that and particularly even though there's many songs that I could ask you to talk about and certainly feel free to run with the whole record if you ever feel like talking about it which I'm sure you would, but Dreams of a Hobo. Which I know I'm not the first person to tell you what a beautiful song that is.I really love it and and can hear that droppedr E string tuned down to D , for all I know it could be just an open G tuning. I'm a musician myself and guitar player so I'm not necessarily even asking that it's just whenever I listen to anybody's songs or I'm writing stuff it's just you know different tunings different methods always very interesting to me. And I'm sure a lot of what I said was a little wonky(actually only three edits so I get two gold stars!) because I'm using my voice text and just being lazy even though I'll regret it and immediately go back and edit stuff but that's just how I roll. But Dreams of a Hobo is just a beautiful beautiful song and the entire Bobby Whitlock record is a treasure to me and it might sound like I'm piling it on thick but but I am not. Thank you my friend. Coco and Bobby y'all have a wonderful day!!It's kind of pretty down here in North Carolina the wind was a bit of a attention getter though. His widow, Olivia, still lives there, and I believe Dhani is there quite a bit using FPSHOT studios, which was the studio George built. Bobby has mentioned the caverns and such during stories about this early period of the Harrison residency, so my deduction would be that they knew of them to at least some degree.
There was a civil suit a few years ago where someone who lived adjacent to Friar Park, who was a...cat enthusiast, tried to go after Mrs. Harrison so she would have to take the concertina wire off of the top of the brick wall surrounding the estate. The...cat enthusiast claimed that his animals were being hurt by the wire, which is commonly known as razor wire. I believe all she had to do to prevail was bring up the intruder who stabbed George and as I recall the case was summarily dismissed. However, it has been a few years, that's just how I remember it.

Paul was too bubblegum for me. Though he sounded good on other stuff. George was my favorite. He and Eric were my idols. Great video , all the best to you and Coco. Love the videos.

Happy belated birthday, Bobby. You're looking good on it. What a great time to have been hanging with George, those early days at Friar Park. You paint a vivid picture- the smell of the rhodedendrons etc. Thanks Coco for asking specifics - have you ever been a lawyer? Lol

@@DonaldMerrit Me too, I still have a first edition pressing of the 45 single in beautiful condition. Sounds great. Yes, at the time, I'm sure it did sound 'bubblegum,' but Paul can do any genre very well.

I have 3 Hammonds with Leslie in my purported living room. A 55 B3, a little newer C3 that does not have the Gothic trim on it, and an A100 that I pulled the internal speakers and amps out like Tony MONACO and bolted the roll and kari permanently to the sides to make a road instrument supposedly, but it is still damn heavy. 3 Leslies, a 22R and a 21H that are living room condition, and a converted road warrior 21H with 122 Amp. My influences are the jazz guys who fire the bass player, but I make an exception for Bobby Whitlock because he wails. I have heard Steve Winwood accompany himself with the full instrument singing Georgia that impressed me, and wondered if you have been around Steve.

To see bobby at his best go to youtube and checkout him and Clapton on the johnny cash show circa 1970. It's not lip synching.
