- Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beatles Forever. Today we will journey back to George in his days during the early 1970's. He was dealing with a lot of issues, the split with the Beatles, his new career, his home, his wife, his friend, his parents and that is a full plate.

I think the songs on all things must pass would have been on let it be. John and Paul dominated those sessions so George would feel pushed out. He enjoyed his solo career but he couldn't shake off being a Beatle. Thanks for posting
George comes across as very quiet & unassuming & a thoroughly decent & caring man. And a great guitarist & lyricist too. May he rest in peace.
He had lots of affairs/one night stands including one with Ringos wife. Had issues with drink and cocaine and the way he treated Pattie was not anything to be proud of.
In his defence the effects of beatlemania woukd test anyone.
It is SO SAD how damaged even George was by the 70s drug decadence.
All you have to do (sadly), is compare how George Harrison looked at the start of the 1970s and then how he progressed.
As someone who was a crack and heroin addict, seeing him gaunt and ill, reminds me, of how thin and tired I looked. It literally IS like digging your own grave.
People overlook how much of a MASSIVE burden the legacy of the Beatles was FOR THE BEATLES post break up.
Every one of the Beatles, went through, a period of losing themselves in drugs.
The price the artist pays for the pleasure of the audience is BIG.
For Harrison and Clapton they were lucky. But, for Syd Barrett, Peter Green or Dennis Wilson?
Their success and fame was, in many ways, the worst thing for them.
The happy ending for the Beatles, is they all found themselves again and redefined who they were in their own lifetimes.
We must always remember they and many others are human beings. They are not invincible.
But, boy they were AMAZING!.... FAB EVEN....
David
Great Post Man👍👍
Just wanted to add this little tid bit about George's song My Sweet Lord, I resd an articule by Charlie Kerlinger from 1/29/23 that he confirms that John Lennon also contributed back up vocals on My Sweet Lord. -Great video👍👍
Thank you for liking the video. Also thank you for stating that John Lennon did backing vocals for My Sweet Lord. I didn't know that.
Thank you for this chapter in George's life. It's amazing what goes on in a rock marriage. Strange days indeed as John would say. Must say I think it even gets worse down the road. Take care.
It's VOR-MAN!! You know, the guy who illustrated the cover of Revolver! Great pod though overall, learning SO much about the boys, some of it is even good! haha...I think Gary Wright also played on All Things Must Pass.
Her pronunciation and obvious ignorance is disgraceful.
In German you pronounce “V” as “F”
Thank you I never seem to get his name right
@@thebeatlesforever it matters not. Keep on trucking
@@hudsonrilke things like this matter muchly to the Beatle community. We can only respect well versed commentators.
It’s always a good day when the best Beatles RUclipsr posts
Thank you so much I appreciate it!
Oh what a tangled web we weave.....
Nicely done! Very thorough and accurate. Great pictures and very competent narration. I enjoyed it all.
Thank you so much I appreciate it.
Wow, this again is brilliant ! Love it ❤ I think Phil Collins only played on one song. (congas on the Art of dying)
Right, I always thought Alan white
formerly, plastic ono band, and later Yes was prominent drummer on the project.
Thanks!
Always a pleasure...Thanks for the fab research.👍
So much good stuff in this video thanks as always!
Glad you like them!
I love your channel and can't understand why it doesn't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. You do need help though making your vocal narration SOUND more professional. Some compression, sibilance reduction, pop filter etc. A better sound quality will help your channel grow as these audio artifacts are affecting your listeners speakers and enjoyment of your material. Love your investigative abilities and the content of your work. Just listen to other content providers of a similar nature, notice the audio quality of their recorded voice.
Excellent as alway`s
Love your Channel, ..hope your doing well.❤😊
Thank you . Yes I am doing fine.
These are the days of our lives 🤣😂🤣
Great film,
Traveling wilburys creator ❤
good video. thankyou.
Klaus Vrooman! Love it.
George and Ringo were real working class people, and when i mean working class i mean what americans call "white trash", very poor people, George was stubborn and alert, and he really found himself through indian meditation, i think he got crazy like many others, especially John and Paul and many others, because he pushed himself to the limit to get what he got after the beatles., he really evolved and reached his potential, and he always fought against negative thoughts and depression, he was always searching for laughing and feeling good, eventually he got depressed and bitter after getting stabbed and his illness, i respect him cause he really was a poor guy that reached glory
I think drugs Very much destroyed John and Georges life
Ringo it was Booze for 10-15 years
Paul some years, Linda saved him
...and Yoko
Bobby Whitlock was there for most of the recording; organ, keys.
Hello Carol!
hmm 😮
Didn’t George have a short affair with Maureen, Ringo’s wife?
You are right he did.
George was a Player!!!
Vroom! Vroom!
Thank you for the correction. Every time I think I have it down pat it ends up coming out wrong. I will try and do it better next time.
@@thebeatlesforever Klaus is a big part of The Beatles story. They met him in Germany. He was an art student. He designed the Revolver album cover. He did the sketches for the RINGO album. He played bass on many of the solo recordings including John's Imagine album.
I don’t think Phil Collins was on All Things Must Pass
Voorman, ..like Door man 👍
I could not believe that when I heard it.
Klaus Voorman not Vrooman
There are no words for this ignorance.
Actually "Voormann," per the Google
Great video l am surprised you talked about George’s sex life because women don’t usually talk about sex.
Klaus VOOOOOOORRRRman.. not VROOOOman.
Thank you for the correction. Every time I think I have it down pat it ends up coming out wrong. I will try and do it better next time.
Get a better narrator! 😩😴
You know, I'm not trying to be mean. But you don't have the voice for this type of video. You have a nice voice but not one to keep the attention of the viewer. You're reading without any enthusiasm. You're telling a story, but you have no excitement to your voice when things in the story get excited. When you tell a story, you have to be able to keep the listeners' attention. Otherwise, it gets boring. And I've actually grown quite bored. Sorry.
You didn’t mention Bobby Whitelock, Carl Randle, or Jim Gordon. They played on almost every track
Thank you for stating that in your comment. I appreciate it.
You lost me at Klaus's surname. Get schooled before talking about a subject that is important to millions.
