True; however John sounded like he was dealing with/Depression ( something I can relate to) & when u feel like that , going to concerts , etc is the last thing u want to do..
Thanks for posting. It was good. I can never hear enough about John. He was here for such a short period of time. The slightest details count. So many people criticize John for his treatment of Julian but he was there for him. I suspect he would’ve improved his relationship with Julian had he lived. People don’t understand that at some point Julian in his adolescence only saw John as a source of money and needed to be corrected.
I need to revisit that book. Paul and Yoko didn't like it. I don't know if Goldman told the total true or if Paul and Yoko were trying to keep the truth hidden.
@@thebeatlesforever I read it and honestly loved it. I think he did put some BS in there though... But as a Beatles expert like yourself we have read enough to be about to cross exam. One thing he said was that John went to South Africa to have sex with hookers which is true but then he throws in there how John was gay and slept with little boys. No facts or evidence just what he thinks. Those are the parts to look out for.
John's obsession with Paul in the latest years has to be studied. Not just jealousy about his solo career success - that's somewhat understandable because they had always been competitive even tho John's insecurities took it to another level, but about Paul and Linda's marriage. Even in 70-71, he was already saying how he didn't know why Paul chose Linda, that she's not that attractive, that their marriage would last only a few years, and then wanting promises from the psychic that their marriage would end soon in 77, how he wrote "funeral" under Paul and Linda's wedding photos - like... that's not healthy. But at the same time, he believed they had telepathic bond, that every time he hears Paul's songs, it's Paul talking to him or thinking about him, etc. I know those years when he wrote in the diaries were his worst ones in terms of mental state, he seemed a bit better in 1980 but still. That was some crazy level of obsession.
I really like to hear that John actually accepted Jesus Christ for a bit. I’m touched that John watched Billy Graham. I’m a bit saddened that he then turned against Him.
It’s never the end where the lads and fresh perspectives are concerned!.. Keep these later-day Lennon videos coming, and when THAT well runs dry, perhaps focus on his post-Yoko years in the early-to-mid ‘70’s…
@BeatlesForever Absolutely; ever since about 1976 I’ve been hooked on Harrison via.33 &1/3, hooked on Wings via “Let ‘em In” and “Silly Love Songs”, and the lads for well, so VERY much!… Nice work you do; keep it up!..
Thank you for that podcast. I learned some very interesting things from that. I'm wondering how you get all this information. It made me feel good when you said. John embraced Jesus and Christianity for a while, but sadly, you claim he soon after rejected it. Soo so sad his life was cut short. I still pray for his soul that by some amazing grace from God, he repented of his sins before he died.
Still think his talent was overrated. He couldn't do Funk, he couldn't do reggae, he couldn't do metal, he couldn't do prog rock, he couldn't do soul. Every one of those genres i mentioned, Paul covered in his solos and with Wings. He just went with the motions and did standard Lennon music....Heavy reverbing to mask his deteriorating voice. Still think he wanted the Beatles Reunion more than Paul. Paul didnt need someone trying to sabatoge his personal and professional life and some one he can't trust in the studio anymore
Excellent insight on John and Yoko. Yoko had him like a puppet on a string. Very sad.
Imagine getting tired of Bowie wanting to hang out ! 😂 Great to hear some new insights. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
I read that Bowie once played his entire album for John a few times back to back, obviously on cocaine, and John finally had to excuse himself.
True; however John sounded like he was dealing with/Depression ( something I can relate to) & when u feel like that , going to concerts , etc is the last thing u want to do..
Thank you for that commentary on John Lennon
"Using her training as a witch."
Summarizes Yoko.
Whenever I think of Yoko the word succubus comes to mind.
So technically we could blame John and Yoko for breaking up wings
love these videos so much
Thank you. I am glad you like the videos
I love this, loving learning more about John. 😀
What a mess he was. So insecure. Jealous. Always searching for answers but the questions kept changing.
He's a real complex man... living in his complex mind/making all his complex plans for everybody 🎶
I never knew much of these thing about our beloved John!! Thx for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it

Love your videos they are always very informative. Thoughts on Albert Goldmans book?

I liked hearing that too. Too bad he turned against him.
John was always super competitive about anything with everyone. That was the weakness in his character. That was what drove his nasty side.
It’s never the end where the lads and fresh perspectives are concerned!.. Keep these later-day Lennon videos coming, and when THAT well runs dry, perhaps focus on his post-Yoko years in the early-to-mid ‘70’s…
Thank you for your suggestion. There always seems to be more to find out about the Beatles.

It’s all fascinating but no one really knows. These are not based on direct words of John
He lived a complex life did John Lennon. Who knows what would have happened in the 80s. I hated the 80s because John was taken from us
They were all just guys in their 30’s at the time, trying to act older.
We all make mistakes walking down the road of life
I would have stayed with May.
Which isn't a particular hard choice... 🤣
John had a nag for loving the wrong ppl.
Jow john let yoko control him like she did is beyond me
I really enjoy this channel. I do not believe everything that they write about JL. I do not believe that JK was jealous etc.
I will do that soon ha
Thank you for that podcast.

I got information from books about John Lennon.
I am glad you liked the video
Is this serious?! He was happy he got busted in Japan and “wished he stayed in jail longer”???? I find that hard to believe I’m sorry
yoko grassed paul up for the bust

Lennon only wanted a Beatles Reunion If Paul crawled on his hands and knees to him...that in reality is the sad part
Turns out that Karma is a bitch, right John?
I do not believe everything in that book.
This is all BS
This is actually hilarious if true.
