Awesome videos. Thank you for posting. The black tie John wore was his Quarry Bank school tie. If ever he needed a tie that was the tie he chosen a lot of the time
Very well done as usual. That whole Double Fantasy period has always been of great interest to, particularly in the context of the Andy Peebles interview of December 6 at the Record Plant and the Dave Sholin interview of December 8 at the Dakota. I loved how in the outtakes and the interviews, he's describing his vocals on "Starting Over" as "Elvis Orbison"...the whole "Well it's been so long since we took the time..." bit. I was 5 but I remember that album on my parents' turntable prior to December 8, and then the hearing on television that he was dead. Very surreal kind...life shaping moments for a little boy who would grow up to be ten times the Lennon and Beatles nut that either of my parents were. As an addendum, I see a lot of people are complimenting your narration, a sentiment I would like to echo, as so much anymore is not read by real people but is generated speech. Your reading adds a real personal feel, and that only seems fitting for John and every other Beatle. They were about people, so it's nice to have one doing the narration. 😁
Was John listening to the Beach boys "Don't worry baby" when he recorded "Just like starting over"? There are similarities in the chorus with both songs.
Why was he looking so bad in his last years?? He was looking more like 55. Didnt know he took out his frustrations on Fred Seamen. I dont blame Fred for writing a tell all book!
I had a crush on John Lennon since junior high school. I was in my sophomore year of high school when he was murdered. I just started to get to know him, then he was gone.
I was barely 13 and never heard of the Beatles when John was killed my friends played a couple of his new songs but never thought about what happened… it’s taken me 40 years 🎉🎉🎉 legends . He was not attractive to me ever . But love the Beatles
I just said the same thing. He was looking really bad like 55yrs old. I think it was the drugs...but Fred Seaman said otherwise that he was only smoking weed. I always thought it was yoko keeping him mal-nurished
He was on a macrobiotic diet. I thought that he looked fine, if a bit slender. He was apparently fairly healthy. The hard drugs were gone. He was swimming, doing yoga, walking in Central Park, traveling, cycling in Bermuda. Some of these pics can be deceiving. I've seen other pics of John from this same time period, and he looks quite good. Clear-eyed, good skin, healthy looking hair etc. Cheers.
I think the last time she saw Phil Spector was when John was working on imagine so I think Yoko strongly like Phil spector's work and this was before the murder trial so it makes sense for Yoko Ono to work with Phil Spector don't it would not make sense for John after the whole gun incident but then again John would never do something because it makes sense
To me this album is a Diamond. Thanks for share.
I feel like John was back creatively with his songs
Beatles Forever is Awesome every episode You see the ones with John , fantastic, John is favorite from day one and forever

Thank you for saying that. I appreciate it. Some people in the comments don't like the sound of my voice
Another well-done installment on our long-lost brother John in the days prior to his ever-sad, untimely passing…

Fascinating details and also a lovely voice, more please.
Thank you! Will do!
Keep going, your uploads are good. Hearing about John. Your narrative is interesting!
Interesting to see John's diary.
Sounds like 90% of middle-class life: "Got up. Went to work. Came home. Watched telly. Went to bed."
Where do you get all your information from?Thank you for the video.
Thank you for this!!!
It was wonderful thanks👍
It's a really good album with some great bangers on it, love the behind the scenes' views!
Nice one!
I love your videos so match detail
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Remember 11/22 and 8Dec8O - both Johns sharing the same fatal fate 🙏 R. I. P. 🙏
I like your videos ❤
Thank you
All John's song are great,,Yoko's songs are good too....
Yoko was a blight on the Beatles, like the plague of locusts on the Egyptians.

He was super thin. I saw him in 1980 in NYC. He was tall and thin, plus he was just getting older. ❤
John looked incredibly sick and skinny during the last few months of his life. Maybe the drugs finally caught up with him?
I just said the same thing. He was looking really bad like 55yrs old. I think it was the drugs...but Fred Seaman said otherwise that he was only smoking weed. I always thought it was yoko keeping him mal-nurished
I think you are right. It couldn't have helped
I agree he needed more food

I think Double fantasy is very bland, mediocre, self indulgent.
I feel the same about your comment.
PS "I'm Your Angel" is "Makin' Whoopee", re-badged.

I am dumbfounded that Yoko would actually suggest Phil Spector. PHIL SPECTOR?? God how completely out of the loop could she be?

Phil Spector did produce Season of Glass in 1981.Thats my favorite album by Yoko
