Ringo had booked a studio session for 14th January 1981. Both John and Paul had agreed to write songs and be at the session. It's heartbreaking to think a madman denied us seeing Lennon being part of that 1980s. You could ask John Lennon the same question 4 times and he would always have a different answer. RIP John and George x

The guy who took the photographs (don't have his name at hand right now) never recovered from that evening. His story is so tragic too, it drove me to tears when I learned about it. Madonna once said, she was close to the Dakota and heard the shots. And then there's this tragic story about James Taylor who was also close the Dakotas. ruclips.net/video/fFTJ38R-pII/видео.html
And me personally.... I was 19, and my whole world fell apart. I will never ever forget that day. I still can cry about it. I'm 62 now and it's still the saddest day in my life.

That was a bad night. I left early from work the next day. My life changed after that night. I drove past Tittenhurst Park the other day. It's so sad that it isn't still in the family. It's so stunningly beautiful! I'll always miss him in this life. ❤

Chapman never called out, "Mister Lennon", as is often reported. In fact, Chapman is on record saying he never said a thing. I still grieve for John, the world is so much sadder now. RIP John and George xx

It was a conspiracy. John's security detail was removed, he was pushed into signing a will. Quickly cremated, the DA personally removed any extra bullets that would disagree with the official story. Chapman had all this money and could travel anywhere? Lol

Chapman didn't ask for a job either. John signed his album, and asked "Is that all you want" and Chapman nodded. I think David was in shock being face to face with the man he was stalking to kill. Chapman had his target, close enough to place the revolver against his chest.

I was just at Central Park on the 8th. When i arrived home I played on RUclips John's 1980 dec interview. What really gave me the chills was as he was doing his interview in his flat, and that p.o.s was down stairs outside the Dakota. Then after the interview little while later John signed his album for him..(that famous last picture) then hours later, john and Yoko arrive back home... and that F@#*!ker shoots him...dead...smh..
Great interview, it just bothered me that his killer was outside..and John never saw it coming...its sick to think about from our perspective now and again the time if the interview wnd where it took place.
This is why im always grateful for everything i have, and don't have...i never worry anymore over bills and bs drama.. life is way to short to care about insignificant things like that yea.
It's just so creepy and strange how fast it happens with life being over.
In the interview John sounded enthusiastic and happy, making jokes about Burt and Ernie fron sesame Street..lol.. Yoko even sounded good in early part of the interview. I miss john. I was only 5 when he died. Few months before we lost John Bonham (Zeppelin) smh...🙏🏻 Anyway..its a great interview if you can separate the fact that...that monster was downstairs at the time of it. In a good note, Happy Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone, and be good to yourselves and others. Don't forget to appreciate every little thing in your lives, even if it's rubbish.
    Cheers. 👍🏻🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇲🙂

I've studied Mark Chapman at length, and his story has evolved over the years, so it's really difficult to know what was going on in his head at the time of shooting. Was it because he thought John was a hypocrite or because he wanted to be famous? Maybe a mixture of both. I'm really looking forward to this new book coming out by a British researcher who's uncovered some stuff that may very well change our view of the shooting. The attending at Roosevelt, I believe his name is Dr. Bruce Halveran, and not Dr. Stephen Lynn, whom I have interviewed, but Halveran and two nurses there that night say he came in with ENTRIES IN HIS CHEST and EXITS IN THE BACK, all in a tight grouping in the upper left shoulder area. But Dr. Halveran, if you watch the various interviews with him, and having seen plenty of gunshot wounds myself due to a lengthy law enforcement career, are generally fairly easy to classify as entries or exits when hollow points are used. But this new research out of England may very well be a game changer on the official narrative.

John Patterson's "The Last Days of John Lennon" is a good read you might want to check out. I have mixed feelings about giving so much time to John's murderer (in his book and in your video), but I understand a lot of people who weren't around then or are too young to remember want to know what happened.
For me, I prefer to remember John's life instead of focusing on his death, and although I'm sad his light was put out too soon, he did end his musical career on a very high note. I bought Double Fantasy about a week before his death, and I was playing the heck out of it. I thought it was great, and even though I was not a big fan of Yoko, I found myself listening to and enjoying her songs as well. That album just flowed like a musical conversation between John and her. I'd put on headphones and listen from "Starting Over" all the way through "Hard Times Are Over" and it really took me somewhere. I thought it was a triumphant return.

There are some good books on Lennon's last days ( I would imagine), but as soon as i see pics of the scumbag murderer or see his name in print, I close the book (or video) and skip the product entirely. I think everyone should do that when faced with the jerk of all jerks.

A great closing but I look forward to more content from you, I was 20 years old when John was shot, I cried , my sister had bought Double Fantasy for me for a Christmas gift, she gave it to me that evening, and I listened to it all night, silly but John might be the only person I loved that I never met......thank you, PS I did not know he told his wife his plsn to kill john

If there were a Death Penalty in NY at that time, I don't think that sack of garbage would have killed John. As soon as the cops caught the killer, he whined "Don't hurt me! Don't hurt me! I acted alone!"
He was a coward who shot John in the back.

It is said on this video that John was proud of Yoko for how well her "Walking On Thin Ice" single was doing in The UK. (# 16:15 ) That single wasn't released in The UK until February 20th, 1981. 'The Beatles Forever' has got to do better than passing along feel-good fiction.
