Don’t Tread on Me is one of my all time favorites by Metallica. I saw them in Tulsa in 2018. It was a bucket list item that I waited nearly thirty years to get to see. Well worth it!
I'm pretty sure this song saved a woman's life, she was being stalked by a cougar and she played this on her phone as loud as she could and the cat went away LOL it made the news it shouldn't be too hard to find online. I'm glad you got to see Metallica everyone should see them at least once it's such a rush!

"I love watching young people get into Metallica all these years later" Thanks for reminding me how fuckin' old I am. ;-)
@ 😹 I know right!? How did this happen to us... I say blame Metallica LOL I'm going to see them this fall, saw them back in the 90s and I must say the difference between my what to bring list then vs now is astounding 🤘😎
This is my favorite part about reaction channels that I you know get into and I like because the people give honest reactions but it takes me back to when I was young when that song came out. You know when that song was a big part of my life. I just turned 44 and it's nice just getting the feel those emotions again
Ok, Amber's stank face while listening to heavy metal is frikkin greatness! Metallica is a band that has so many great songs that it is hard for people to agree on a favorite, because each one hits everybody individually on a different level.

❤ this song! I will admit that as a personal preference I miss James' gritty & growly vocals (like this) from earlier days. I'm also a huge Jason Newstead fan so seeing him in videos is awesome😊
Newstead never gets enough love. Dude gave 100% every damn minute he was in the band. It's a tragedy that their grief over the loss of Cliff led them to undervalue Newstead while he was there.
Great video guys. Great reaction to one of the best. I suggest Master of Puppets, iconic and my favorite Metallica song. It will blow your mind when you realize they were in their early 20s when they released this masterpiece. Love your channel, keep up the good work.
Slight correction, they were in their late-20's. This album was released August of '91. Kirk's the oldest band member, (born Nov. 1962), James and Lars will be 60 this year, (both born 1963), and Rob is the youngest, (born Oct. '64).
Yeah it's hard to believe they have not done any Megadeth I know they have to get requests like a mother for it. Every other big reactor channel like them has done "holy wars" (The punishment due). They have to be saving it for another time along with Metallica -Master of puppets That's the two best metal songs especially thrash metal arguably of all time.
a full orchestra offers so much depth to many rock songs...Yes. Metallica S&M is an incredible audio and trip.. another one to check out is Paul McCartney and Wings .. "Live and Let Die
Many try to dismiss Lars as an average drummer in a great band but he always plays what is needed for the song and is a large part of the Metallica sound.
As a kid, I couldn't get into heavy metal. I resisted it for so long. Then I listened to Metallica's "ONE" and everything changed. I bought all of their albums and played the heck out of them. ONE opened the door. That will always be my favorite hard rock song. It means everything to me.
@@jasonsabbath6996 delayed response lol. I've gotta change these settings. I don't care what some fans say. I love that album. It's mostly for sentimental reasons but there is some awesome music on that. Blackened, Eye of the Beholder, Justice, Harvester of Sorrow, love it.
When I saw the title I couldn't click fast enough. My absolute favorite Metallica song. I hope you see this message, then go back to the end of the song and listen to the last verse. "I'm inside, open your eyes. I'm you."
Metallica’s self-titled “Black Album” came out in the middle of my high school years and it’s impossible to overstate what a big deal it was - still stands head and shoulders above the rest over 30 years later
Absolutely! People sleep on Alex Van Halen because his brother is probably the greatest musician who ever lived, but Alex is definitely one of the best drummers of all time.
I took my oldest son to see van halen on the tour for different kind of truth...we both left thinking Alex was the best sounding live drummer we had seen...he is freaking awesome...
You said you’d do a Queensryche before Yet another Metallica. I call foul!! Lol. Great song though. Please do Silent Lucidity or Take Hold of the Flame ( Live in Tokyo 1984). Also Jet City Woman, Operation Mindcrime and I Don’t Believe in Love. Queensryche is Progressive Metal you all haven’t even dabbled in that lane and it’s awesome. Jay you love great Bass lines and Queensryche has them in spades. Do it!!!!😁👍🎶😵💫
Amber and Jay, 51 years old here. Been a Muscian since I was 14 playing all these years since then every year since I was 14, in Bands that is. Still Am! I'm a Rocker at heart but as a musician I like all kinds of music. Now, KISS and Metallica are my all time Favorite bands. I love tons of bands. I've seen Metallica 18 times and KISS 34. Sad But True is a Bad Ass Song. You guys should listen to Seek and Destroy early Metallica. Love the Shirt Jay, plus I think I see a Cort Axe Bass in the Background. Do I? Love the channel keep up the Great Work and Keep the videos coming!
Love this! Back to the black album and one of the top 5 Metallica songs! This whole album is fire! Lars is playing his famous black and white drum set. He played this set on the monsters of rock tour with 1.6 million people. These drums are badass and yes he is a good drummer but a lot of people don’t like him too much but he’s been there for a long time and he knows his stuff! Great reaction! Next one should be “wherever I may roam” off the black album!
You BOTH have grown a lot! I feel like a proud mom watching how far you've come, remembering the artists' names, recognizing different styles, picking up on lyrical content, etc. It's honestly pretty amazing!
I am 56. When I first heard Metallica I was not impressed because it was so different to rock music back in the day. After listening to them a few times (after some friends insisted) they grew on me! Love this band!!! ❤
Your discussion of drumming leads me to once again recommend that you check out Missing Persons. Their drummer, Terry Bozzio, is an all-time great who gives solo concerts!! The guitarist, Warren Cuccurello, is in the Rock and Roll HOF for his work with Duran Duran, Bassist Patrick O'Hearn has released over a dozen solo New Age and Jazz albums, and keyboardist Chuck Wild has released 18 Liquid Mind relaxation albums. Singer Dale Bozzio was iconic for her homemade pop art costumes and distinctive voice. "Words" is one of the few videos from the time recorded live. "Mental Hopscotch" is a hard rocker, "Surrender Your Heart" was animated by Peter Max. "Right Now" is goofy, and "Destination Unknown" is dark. All of them had previously worked with Frank Zappa, who only used the best musicians.
I've gotten to see them a couple times in concert and Lars still kills it on the drums all these years later. Highly recommend going to one of their concerts if you ever get the chance.
it's not that Lars hits his drums any harder than any other rock drummer, it's the tones of his drums. If you take a good look at his kit, you'll notice both the larger diameter and longer depth of some of those toms, which coupled with the right skin gives him his deep tones. Some might be due to his playing, but I'd put most of my money on his kit. This tune brings back so many teen-angst memories, and so many great ones! Truly a Metalica classic :)
This, just, makes me whip out my old copy of: Ride The Lightning and imagine the feeling of going to see this band for the first time, ever, at L'amour's, in Brooklyn. Love the hard rock, fast guitars and your love of Lars' drumming. If you want to explore more heavy metal but with a twist, you need to check out Babymetal, a Japanese hard rock band. Similar in terms of the guitars and drums, but the vocals are the star of the show because it is unexpected. And incredible audience reaction. Check out "Road of Resistance - Live in Japan", "Headbanger" or "Gimme Chocolate" to start. But I think you will be blown away by their performance.
Great riff!!!! I know people hate on the Black Album, but the riffs on this album are solid & this one is heavy as hell….the starts & stops just kill me….plus the lyrics are great…..great pick!!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I honestly didn't know people hated on the black album. I always thought it was the one where the "cymbals sound like pie plates" or whatever. 😄 I remember that was a huge debacle.
@@salbro5985 People don't really hate black album for it's sound, it's more because they acuse it of being the album that made metallica sell out, which is not wrong, but metallica would not be nowhere near as famous as they are if not for the black album, as far as sound goes, it's not an perfect album, but it's pretty good, vastly inferior to master or ride the lightning but 100 times better than St.Anger
💕🤘🏼 This is great, I was literally just thinking about recommending Orion to you guys earlier this morning, so I’m happy to see you drop this, and regarding Orion, it’s an instrumental, and it’s a masterpiece!✨🌌💫
Great reaction, guys! It's always a treat when you do Metallica! And as usual, Amber is so perceptive in her analysis of the lyrics. Some more Metallica suggestions for you: Fuel All Nightmare Long Spit Out The Bone Master of Puppets Damage Inc. Dyer's Eve Holier Than Thou Devil's Dance Seek and Destroy Broken, Beat & Scarred The Four Horsemen Disposable Heroes Halo on Fire The God That Failed And you should really check out 72 Seasons off the new album. It's killer!
On of my favorites from this band. The drums hit hard. Just goes right through you and vibrates your entire body. Many people have been like you in that they just see long hair, loud music and think that there isn't anything real behind the lyrics. Many, many heavy metal bands have really deep lyrics, often times political or based on world inequality. These bands often come from areas where they are poor and the economies suck and so they sing about their lives. Similar to how people judge rap without understanding and knowing the world they come from and how deep the lyrics are in the rap, especially the harder core rap music. Takes on a whole different meaning.
I hear my own pain and darkness singing this to me. suffering and misery are my only true friend now. along with the struggle within and my friend of misery accurately describe my life and mental state. Metallica is my therapist
You guys really need to do Metallica - Creeping Death. It's based on the Exodus passover story. Either the studio one or the one live in Russia. Great job as always. ❤
This is one of my favorite Metallica songs, Very cool to see you all hear it! STILL can't believe you KNOW they are one of the Big 4, and yet you've still never done Anthrax, Megadeth, or Slayer. Lars of Metallica said Anthrax's Only was was a "Perfect Song," so do that at least since you love him so!
Im dead serious. I've been looking at your channel today, but never subscribed. This video pushed me over the top. Sad But True by Metallica is a certified metal banger. I'm subscribed now and I'm happy, but I'm only here for the rock reactions. You guys have soooo much to delve into! Plus, it looks like Amber has dropped a lot of weight since the early videos. Good job, Amber! You look great! Jay, you're one of the coolest dudes I've seen in reaction channels on RUclips. Keep it up my man. Here for the rock reactions. Please react to Tool -- Stinkfist. That one is a BANGER and I'm sure you two have never heard it. Check it out!!!!!!!!
If you're looking for another drummer that hits hard, check out The Warning, A 3 sister rock band from Mexico. Paulina hits as hard or harder than Lars. Try Disciple or Choke. Or their cover of Enter Sandman when they were 14,12,and 9. 🤘🤘
The way Amber understands songs astounds me. I fell in love with Metallica back in 1988, so was deeply into them when the Black album was released, which is the album this song is on.This song to me as a young guy was this heavy, heavy riff song but as time went by I asked myself what is it about. It took me several years to grasp what it's meaning was. Amber has one listen and she gets it. 😄 I'm sure Snoop Dogg performed a version of this on MTV Icon.
Fade to Black will always be a special song to me, would love to watch you two react! Is a "softer" Metallica but is beautiful and has one of my favourite solos. Despite some public anger about it being a song "promoting suicide" what it truly did was give thousands a song and voice to resonate with and be heard.
I have chosen this one as my fav Met song many times! Metallica is adrenaline inducing! My other favorite is ONE. Nice shirt Jay🤘. Happy Easter to you and yours!
You mean hit the hardest lol John hasn't hit anything in quite awhile. Lars is nowhere near the drummer John Bonham was but is who works for this great band.

This song makes shivers run down my spine every time. The lyrics are just terrifying, and the music is razor sharp.
Amber, Master of Puppets, I think it’s time you heard Metallica’s best song! Love to see your reaction to that classic.

Damage INC is the Metallica song we used to play before football games.
How could you hate on the Black album? It’s good all the way through
The Blackened album is a solid 10/10 there is not a bad song on the entire album.
I honestly didn't know people hated on the black album.
I always thought it was the one where the "cymbals sound like pie plates" or whatever. 😄
I remember that was a huge debacle.

Fade to black is incredible also
I would love to see your reaction to Orion by Metallica. It's an instrumental, and I'm sure you'd enjoy it!
“No Leaf Clover” is a banger with the San Francisco Symphony from the album S&M
💕🤘🏼 This is great, I was literally just thinking about recommending Orion to you guys earlier this morning, so I’m happy to see you drop this, and regarding Orion, it’s an instrumental, and it’s a masterpiece!✨🌌💫
Yall make me laugh. I love that you love Metallica.
Great reaction, guys! It's always a treat when you do Metallica! And as usual, Amber is so perceptive in her analysis of the lyrics. Some more Metallica suggestions for you:
Fuel
All Nightmare Long
Spit Out The Bone
Master of Puppets
Damage Inc.
Dyer's Eve
Holier Than Thou
Devil's Dance
Seek and Destroy
Broken, Beat & Scarred
The Four Horsemen
Disposable Heroes
Halo on Fire
The God That Failed
And you should really check out 72 Seasons off the new album.
My son’s favorite group.
Love seeing young people understanding this fantastic story!!!
Real METAL!!!!
GIVE US HEAVY BABY
Definitely one of their best!!!
You really can’t go wrong with anything on this album. Wherever I May roam. Through the never. Don’t tread on me. Nothing else matters.
“The god that failed”
@@poopsebeb yes!
One of my FAVORITE Metallica songs!! Love that Amber is getting into metal more than when she first started listening.
YESSSS!!!!❤
30 years later, and this track lands harder than ever... the 'narrator' in the lyrics is a perfect metaphor for smartphones and social media...
Metallica is my all time favorite band!! They’re goin to be on Jimmy Kimmel all week this week. Playing live to celebrate the new album.🤘🏼
I still remember every second of seeing their concert from this tour.
Metallica rocks! I've seen them live twice . They put on a great show!
Sad But True might be Metallica's heaviest song by the band. One of my favourite songs in the Metallica Black album
Metallica 🤘🏻😎
Saw them August 2022 at Highmark Stadium still as powerful as ever
Fade to Black will always be a special song to me, would love to watch you two react! Is a "softer" Metallica but is beautiful and has one of my favourite solos. Despite some public anger about it being a song "promoting suicide" what it truly did was give thousands a song and voice to resonate with and be heard.
An absolute masterpiece. One of the greatest solos of all time.
If you feel sad this song will lift you up and out of it. I love the live performance seeing James play two different guitars during the song.
I love how they paid respect and love to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gary Rossington guitarist and the last member of the original line up.
Do some White Zombie or POWERMAN 5000
I have chosen this one as my fav Met song many times! Metallica is adrenaline inducing! My other favorite is ONE. Nice shirt Jay🤘. Happy Easter to you and yours!
Sorry but John Bonham hits the hardest
Absolutely.
You mean hit the hardest lol John hasn't hit anything in quite awhile. Lars is nowhere near the drummer John Bonham was but is who works for this great band.
Heavy metal!! Accept- Pandemic (Live), Krokus- Long Stick Goes Boom, and Judas Priest- Freewheel Burning! 🔥
