GPU dependance for games is always better. Its so easy to rush into the CPU Bottleneck, people just won't believe it. Right now, we have the 4090 as the stronget GPU. And not a single CPU can keep up with. Even when OCed to over 5+Ghz. Its also easier to upgrade your GPU at any time compared to your CPU. So always go for GPU supported Emulators and APIs like DX12/Vulkan if possible. Unless an Emulator specifically states otherwise because.
4090 is just so strong that it gets 144+ frames on 4k max settings. you're always bottlenecked by the CPU when you go 100+ fps, even gtx 1060 is bottlenecked by 5800x3d in valorant but that's cause the GPU is capable rendering way faster than the CPU can process the game needs. in the other hand if the CPU is capable of processing fast enough for 60-70fps even if its ryzen 3600x, you're able to pair 4090 with 3600x.
False. The better one is whatever you already made progress in. If you don't want to have to restart all your games from the ps3, you're stuck with the CPU bound emulator.
xenia much better for this game for anyone watching, with a 5600x and a 3080 i was running capped at 30 constantly going down to 20 on rspc3, with xenia and a few tweaks with the patches i'm running wit post processing on max at 120 + with occasional drops to 85-90

The crazy flickering at the start of this video on the RPCS3 demonstration leads me to believe the RPCS3 version was not using the most optimal settings, seems a little unfair, personally I get about 30 - 45fps on RPCS3 Red Dead Redemption and about 50 in Xenia Red Dead Redemption.

Im trying to run the game at 1080p by upscaling to 2x resolution at 540p from game patch but theres a constant black flickering on the screen I have no issues running at 720p and 1440p but problem occurs at 1080p which is the sweet spot for me between performance and visuals Is there any way o fix this ?
Those patches dont boost performance for me when i move the patches folder to Xenia in documents and applie changes to patch for rdr as in your video the game is more unplayable when it was before i tried even playing on 360p and no trees the game runs in 17fps with patches and without patches i had 20 to 30 fps do u know how to repair it?
Does anyone have screen tearing on Xenia? I’m running a 5800x and a 4070, game is set at 2 for x&y, vsync true, I’m playing my pc via a 4k 60hz tv. I can’t get the settings right to remove tearing. It’s not too bad but I’m used to everything being super smooth
Xenia is the way to go! on RPCS3 the game worked but with major flaws So i got it running at 4k 120fps and its running as smooth as butter i put 16x anisotropic filtering and reshade with regrade/clarity/solaris still runs at high fps im gonna play this till i pass out probably lolol
@@cira7937 that there is your problem, no amount of software can make that pc emulate an ps3 or xbox 360 and run games on it well. youre going to need an actual decent gpu as the integrated graphics in your system could actually less be powerful than the xbox 360 gpu and you'll likely need a better cpu depending on which generation "ryzen 3" you have

as someone who already has rpcs3 and rdr for it, id much rather just go use my ps3 than download a whole extra emulator for a single game lol i hope someday rpcs3 can find better ways of gpu rendering, even with an 8 core 16 thread cpu at 4.8ghz single core i still run the rpcs3 version at like 20fps and get all sorts of brightly colored visual bugs. i can almost run the last of us with all the graphics settings turned off lmao but the shaders still load way too slow so buildings are untextured when you look at them for the first time and that causes a lot of lag and fps drops

If you havent, make sure to turn off fxaa as well on the emulator side it tries to apply it to text in the game as well making it blurry
after all patches i still have 10 fps on xenia
