Two weeks ago I had iPhone 12 pro. Sold it and bought S23 Ultra. Im all in Apple ecosystem... watch, macbook, magsafe chargers etc... Then after 4 days i got pretty good offer for it and sold it. Bought 14 pro Max 512 gb version in black. The iPhone is great and yes there is a big upgrade from my 12 pro BUT.... except the 120Hz great display i see it boring again like my 12 pro... Thinking of selling the 14 pro and buy the S 23 Ultra AGAIN. The hard thing is this ecosystem escape ... And I have to buy Samsung watch because im pretty used to wearing my apple watch all the time and receiving notifications... Im using everyday that instant synchronization between my Macbook pro and iPhone. OMG Im pretty stuck in this ecosystem. Everything is working flawlessly but I want to try after all this years of using Apple products something else.... Hope you understand me :D Cheers !

Didn't see this coming! Brilliant review, great to see someone focusing on aspects different to the plain specs. It's amazing how good the battery life is (it is similarly good on the plain S23). If only the charging speed was a little quicker... 😑

I got the Note 9 and pre-ordered this (same version - black, 512/12), the jump for me will be big, looking forward to that 120hz display. There might not be too many changes since the S22U, but for someone like me who hasn't upgraded in 4+ years, this is a huge improvement.
@@Lee-dr2im well, I waited for a phone with no hole-punch camera, microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack, but instead of adding on these features, they are removing them, so I decided to jump ship on the new S23U. Hopefully that Qualcomm will be a nice piece of tech :)

This phone is so good. The night time video is truly remarkable. Did a side by side with my snapdragon s21 ultra and the difference in quality is like 4x better. It's outstanding.
How is the color? More yellowish or more on the white side? And what about frames of the phone? Do they look gold-ish? Thanks! I’m always on black phones and thinking about some change in my life :)
1440p takes up like tops 5% of battery, and I actually see the difference to 1080p. Many time over past 2 years I tried to switch to 1080p to boost battery, but I just was too spoiled by the 2K resolution. Phone makers don't much focus on speakers. The best phones in recent years I've heard were the S23/24 ultra, ip14-16 line, especially pro max versions, that Sony top line. all the other like oneplus, xiaomi etc all sound like crap. but so did the S22 line, and the S22 ultra sounded like a 100$ phone. Even my p6p and the new pixel 8 and 9 line aren't as good, but so much better than pixel 6 and the famous Pixel 7 pro shit sound. S23 ultra is SO loud, clear, and even bassy. The separation of instruments and base is also audible. LOVE IT. Shame Samsung are a scum company.
Samsung knows how to keep consistent with this device the battery life is amazing the S pen is great to have for editing or note taking and the screen size is just perfect for everyday use. this is one device i would carry with me every single day alongside my iPhone. great review/ Day in the life bro

Great video! I just did the same thing and switched to the 23U from my 14 Pro. I am in the Apple ecosystem since 2012 and I just felt boring with it by now... It is something new even if I tried the S22U and the Fold 4 too.

As someone who switched from the Note20U to iPhone 14 Pro Max, I love these comparison videos which argue that Samsung's most recent flagship finally trumps the iPhone on all fronts, except ecosystem; I think we can all agree that Apple's still king there. In any case, it's clear (to me anyway) that Apple has lagged behind in terms of innovation. I'm ok with that since their ecosystem and devices provide me everything that as a regular consumer I need, without quirks and headaches on the Android side of things (i.e. updates and support). My last iPhone was the 7 Plus so the 14 Pro Max is a delight for someone to use. However, I can imagine (because I remember) how frustrating it is for tech types to pick up a new phone that pretty much looks and works the same as their retired devices. No incentive to upgrade there. Still, if you think about it, eco-wise, boring may be more beneficial. At the end of the day, to conclude, I welcome the competition since Apple postures itself as a tad too comfortable.
When using the bar/gestures instead of the normal navigation buttons. Swiping from either edge of the screen becomes your back button. So your back button is wherever your finger happens to be

Hey, bro. You said you couldn't use the wireless charging pad with the s23 ultra because of the size. Wouldn't it fit without the charging cable. This is because I have the peugeot 5008 and have always charged my S22 Ultra on the pad. Great vid by the way
2:43 you can actually swipe from anywhere on both sides to go back, for that it's better than the iphone imo because you don't have to reach to the top left any time you want to go back.

My sim has always remain in the iPhone because of iMessage. I have a separate data card for the Ultra and it's not coming out any time soon...I love this phone.

Nice video man but one tip with android, the back is a universal gesture where you swipe from the right edge of the screen to the left. Makes the gestures super easy, I really miss that on iPhone 👍
You can add magsafe with a case or add the magnet to compatible cases. The back gesture can be done along the edges of the screen, you don't need to use the back button in the app, that's an iOS thing.
It will be appreciated if you make a video on Android home screen setup like you made for iphone !!! And some custom widgets too like iphone for android

There are magsafe cases for the s23 :) and there are gesture controls, I have a diagonal down swipe from the left to bring up the 3 nav buttons incase I need them

You can easily get magsafe compatible cases for the S23 Ultra so you can still use the majority of your accessories

I can't recommend either because that switch depend on your workflow and the remaining of your devices.

For the swipe gestures, there's an option where swipe from sides register as back.

From any app you can use swipe back gesture from either side of the screen, no need to go to the top of the screen at all.

Buy the spigen magsafe case for your s23 ultra , magnets are stronger than apples. , then you can use all your magsafe chargers and car mounts

There is now a MAG safe case for the S23. You can still use your MAG safe accessories.

You can add magsafe with a case or add the magnet to compatible cases. The back gesture can be done along the edges of the screen, you don't need to use the back button in the app, that's an iOS thing.

There is no crack. It was probably a dust particle.
At 13:33 I legit thought it was a mirrorless A-cam 😂 only noticed a few small things when you said it was video portrait mode.

I prefer a fingerprint scanner above a facial scanner.

There are magsafe cases for the s23 :) and there are gesture controls, I have a diagonal down swipe from the left to bring up the 3 nav buttons incase I need them
To switch from the swipe gestures to buttons you go to settings then you type in navigation bar than you can switch between buttons or swipe
