there's something about that line that's more insulting than anything else the guards can possibly say.
ESPECIALLY for players that are running a 2-handed build and have 100 in the skill tree.
Yeah, It's Like They Want You To Instigate A Fight.
That's at low skill. At high skill, they say "The gods gave you two hands, and you use them both for your weapon. I can respect that."

yeah, as someone who put 500+ hours into this game, i can honestly say it was impossible for me to get immersed at all after the first 100-200. there's so many little details Bethesda just ignored. it truly could have been great

I love how they talk up azura’s star as if it has some fantastical power. It’s just… multiple soul gems.

@@waluigi3515 All that and at the end of the day it just means you can enchant or recharge your weapon a bit more because you find soul gems behind the couch cushions.
@@thebigyes8482 Bethesda's fault honestly. Gameplay wise, it's worse then the Black star, but lore wise it should open up new doors. It is said that the souls you use in the star aren't actually the souls of the victims you kill, but the energy that comes from them. Imagine if there was a quest where you gained the abilit to use that soul energy for your own purposes other then enchanting, like extra magicka, or greater stats. Or perhaps a follow up quest where Malyn (wizard that was in Azura's star) was wrecking havoc in Azura's realm, and you actually had to go INTO her realm through the star, in which you can gain the ability to use soul energy through the star. That could be a DLC.

As the capital city of the United States, Washington, D.C., also houses the nation's capitol. In the first instance, “capital” is used to refer to a city that is the seat of government. In the second instance, “capitol” is used to refer to the building in which the legislative government meets.

Little lore perspective (its not snobby I promise you):
I saw some comments about Guards being awfully knowledgeable about Daedric artifacts and rarer types of weaponry. Keep in mind that within Tamriel the interventions of Daedric princes and lesser Daedra, as well as Aedra are well documented (and within the time of Skyrim rare but not exceptionally so). They make their way into child's stories and village folklore. They are preached about within the temples & chapels of the Aedra, and their prominence was displayed by the Oblivion crisis. To them the Deadra and their tools, symbols, are not background information. These are crucial historical events.
In terms of our world it would be like having concrete proof that Hell and Heaven exist, and all of those entities within them are no longer matters of faith or speculations but undisputable reality. You know of halos, pentagrams, shrines, angels, demons, pantheons of deities. But to know the Gates of Hell were not figurative but visibly present and had not only appeared but opened to display all forms of horrors. Angels descending to slay Demons. Divinely appointed champions wielding weapons wreathed in light and fire. Priests of all faiths manifesting visible miracles of healing and blessing that carried enough weight to be undeniable. These events would be carried for generations, and very possibly never forgotten.
Also, we have several books and media related to Hell and Demons despite nothing proving their existence, just look at Key of Solomon and Dante's Inferno, both go into detail over things that don’t exist.
@@thinkingboi9508 book of Enoch removed book from the bible too talks abt when Lucifer fell from "grace" and turned into a dragon apparently and archangel Michael and him fought sounds crazy but there's no proof which screws up a lot of peoples faith or belief which confuses stuff even more only "proof" is well not proof just interesting rappers like juice wekd polo g talk abt meeting devil and how he tries to be their friend because they have souls stronger than average it's intesrisng

Iron sword by itself: *Gets bully*
Iron sword with Spellbreaker: *Gets ignored*
Iron sword with Azura's Star: *Gets respect*
God bless you been interested in these for a while
You know you played Skyrim too much when you know all of these by memory. :D
There's another piece of dialogue that they use for volendrung that is
Guard: (whistles) Now That's a big..........hammer
Sounds like that guard was referencing something else there lol
@@lilium9361 he actually was referencing the hammer though
@@TheShepardAscension really?
"hm didnt that get stolen a while back? Must be remembering wrong.."
explains why stealth is so easy DEEPEST LORE
didn't that weapon go missing? hmm. must have been my imagination, or the wind. hmm, that darned wind, always blowing valuable objects away from the insides of locked houses, and blowing arrows into the skulls of necromancers and town guards.
@@hobomike6935 I my game, the guards are safe.
"Iron sword, what are you killing, butterflies?"
I have serious doubts that guard went through any kind of training.
I think it's hilarious how random bandits are dumb enough to attack you, but the guards somehow know you, your history, every act you have done, and study a catalogue of all daedric, aedric, and historical artifacts and weapons across Tamriel. That one dude knows that you have to kill for Mehrunes Razor. HOW. How did he know about the mace
He used to be an adventurer like you...
Also, he definitely goes to a guard school.
You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They've got curved swords. Curved. Swords.
Redguards you mean
They reminds me of those desert henchman from the old Indiana Jones movies with those curved blades and all it took to kill em was a gunshot
@@Arronic the comment was a quote from the guards
@@Benny-xy4oz for a second it looked like a legit question
Apologize for that then I guess
@@Arronic That quote sounds xenophobic anyway and could actually apply to Fictional Timelines and Real Life.
Nords are European and Redguards are Asian in this case.
@@d.j.cassidy1642 Erm, Redguards are literally, well...
There’s another one for Volendrung.
“That is one BIG hammer...”
I love these skyrim videos... a beautiful trip down the memory lane...
You just gotta love the attention to detail
Dude in elder scrolls 6 they should make a reaction to deadric armor that’s like “no arrows to the knee in that armor.”
If neither of these are in it, i will be sad
I think they might do "Strange Armour you have there, looks... creepy, but tough. No arrows to the knees ever again, eh?
What does armor have to do with getting married?
@@DatKhajiit Ah, someone who actually knows the original phrases meaning. What are you doing here?
@fish You make a good point.
I never encountered any of these dialogues in Skyrim, even in all these years.
I’m so used to guards trying to arrest you for brandishing a weapon in public in Daggerfall - so I always kept my weapons sheathed in public.
That one guard seemed really quite taken by the beauty of the ebony sword... he turned into something of a poet for a second. Sliver of modnight. Ok sweetie.
Guard: But didn't that get stolen awhile back?
Khajiit Dovahkiin: ... *sweat nervously*
I love how Skyrim is 10 years old yet videos about it still gain over a million views in just a week or two
All guards were adventurers till got an arrow in the knee, they all knew about the artifacts before dragonborn.
Yes, they all got married.
Beautiful little details
i wish there was more of this, there is so many cool items that im sure the average day guard would just be like wtf?
Guard: *shocked by you wearing Azuras star*
Also Guard: Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?
Ah yes that most powerful of metal...shteel.
Mmm… where can we find this “schteel”?
@@MoskHotel in any film starring Sean Connery.
@@tyranitararmaldo Why are we schtill here? Just to schuffer?
@Lionel Hutz god dammit as a dutchman my self i hate how right this sound
Nice video man!
I love the dialogue in this game. It’s so advance for an old game this is why Skyrim will always be on top I can’t name other games really that does it like Skyrim
1:55
"You wield azura's star? How.. how can such a thing be possible?"
"I'm the main character."
lol
No no, he's got a point, the black star is superior
I've played Skyrim for thousands of hours and never heard this dialogue before. Honestly, it makes me love the game that much more.
Mehrune reaction is always the best 😂
"Hey that looks like my great grandpa's sword nutcutter... but it was stolen 3 weeks ago. Hmmm must be a different sword"
