Their Live at Madison Square Garden concert video is off the chart. High energy funk. Another fun funk band that few people have heard is 'Here Come The Mummies'.
Roberta Flack , Donnie Hathaway, Fraaank Sinatra, this is a reference to Bernard Purdie interview where he was boasting about all the stars he’s played for . Bernard played on a lot Steely Dan records , Aretha. Great drummer.
But yes this was a reference to Bernard look him up. 😀

Such a cool tune and band. These have lots of instrumental songs plus tunes like this with guest vocals. They do some super funky, very precise types of songs. Worth looking into.

Also the vocalist is a feature, who, according to what I understand, was a therapist who one of the members or a producer had heard sing, and convinced him to come in and do some songs with the group. He has a fantastic voice, but I don't want to overlook the great music the band is doing behind those vocals. Just a fun little group. Thanks again.
