Thanks. I honestly could've done without any of the verses they aired, bar maybe the last one, but these two are actually strong (and provide a much needed bookend for the last verse, which as aired came a bit out of nowhere and didn't really say much). A shame they cut it that way.
That Psalm goes on in verses 10 and 11 to say: "Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were and they will not be there. (v. 11) But the meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." To that, I say: Amen!
I'm not a religious person, but hearing James' dad read that passage brought tears to my eyes. It pains me to see anyone, our president included, boasting religion and practicing NONE of it. Despite all the evil I see, I believe there is good in this world and hope it reaches the people that need it right now. Silence does not bring change so speak your truth. Psalms are written by king David and Solomon, unless stated differently. Then there's a whole bunch of prophets that wrote books. Most of the new testament is written by Paul or at the very least commissioned by him.

I'm not a religious person, but hearing James' dad read that passage brought tears to my eyes. It pains me to see anyone, our president included, boasting religion and practicing NONE of it. Despite all the evil I see, I believe there is good in this world and hope it reaches the people that need it right now. Silence does not bring change so speak your truth. Stand up for what is right and do not ignore what is wrong. BLACK LIVES MATTER.

@Ninja Dreamer The answer is both surprisingly simple. The first five books are written by Moses, the chronicles were written by courtwriters. Psalms are written by king David and Solomon, unless stated differently. Then there's a whole bunch of prophets that wrote books.
Most of the new testament is written by Paul or at the very least commissioned by him.
