This would never happen. The Discovery crew would either be arguing about what action to take and ignoring the chain of command, or too busy gawking and making cute or snarky comment while giggling. It’s like a high school in space.

Well if go by official timelines, both of these ships are techinically Prime Time Line (Because Kelvin was there at the moment Nero Appeared, the moment the time lines diverged). And the Kelvin is older than Kirk, while say Discovery was launched when either Kirk was in the academy or a Liutenet I think. Makes sense from a technological sense in terms of firepower
I think the Kelvin was a bit too weak here. She held her own, and stood her ground against nero for quite some time. Also she had a point defense system that could be taking down a lot of the torpedoes.
the discovery is about on par with a baseline connie so yeah it would be stronger than the kelvin....even if I like the kelvin overall as well. Thought I liked the oringal teaser discovery alot more than the one we got
I agree about Discovery! It’s not that I hate the show. Just a bit of a let down. Some people have commented that the Kelvin is under represented in this mod, it has more weapons in the movie apparently. Not watched it for a few years!
@@RetroBadgerGaming It is for one it was pretty big around the size of the excelsior if I remember right. The show...I do actually hate, well I hate season 1 and 2 mainly...yeah it's a strong word but discovery did alot wrong. The first season excuse CANT be used. They expected and acted as if they were doing something new. Not only was the ship not that special in overall look and looked more like a gimmick and recycled. The characters in theory could have been likeable, hell STO, the decade old mmorpg, made alot of the characters I hated tolerable and the stories that were in sto using disco/picard information were weaker than the classic or sto unique stories. But the show writers didnt know what they were doing, or atleast didnt care enough to try and did more harm than good to the franchise with that show, even after they "fixed" things as the damage was done and when they went to the future, it was basically generic scifi that basically did nothing THAT inspired that older series or other trek properties didn't cover in a better way.
The only thing worse than neelixs food is the design of the uss discovery. What an ugly ship. And you know captain Burnham is emotionally crying on that bridge the entire time. Even when she won, she was still crying lol
Gone are the days of TNG where you just have to deal with bad situations and take it. Like real life. If it’s really bad you could always visit troi though, haha.
You have to target and disable Discovery's Plot Armor.
Plot Armor > Ablative Armor

Thanks! That makes sense as the Kelvin has a single nacelle. I guess the Klingon War made the upgrades a necessity on the Crossfield.

1:40 the only reason Neelix's shuttles can take it down is because Neelix uses the food stuffs in the cargo bays as weapons.

The Kelvin was from 20 years or so from TOS and Discovery's past so it makes sense that its weaker

The Kelvin is only effective as a weapon if you ram it into the other ship. Unfortunately, it will explode too.
