Jeepers Captain... Still well done.. I was surprised the Farragut was this tough.. and watched a few episodes of Strange New Worlds and in the Kelvin like the movies, the Enterprise didn't have long phasers but phaser turrets.. almost pulse style.. hmm. guess I missed a few shows.. again another great battle..!!!😊🖖
Original series phasers where like they are here sustained burst ..cool down sustained burst . Just watched the doomsday machine last night and they still had them work like that in the remasters

The WC JJ ship disruptors have arcs from a variety of angles, including the sides n aft, was shocked you were not using them in the first battle.😅

I like the look of the Farragut and its weapons are fantastic!
i love the farraguts design
one off the few things i do like about the JJ ships is those pop up point defence turrets. and if they worked the way the ones on Prelude to Axanar work you should be able to degrade shields very fast at close range especially. the Farragut is obviously meant to be a fast response ship, a battle cruiser. it has terrible rear firing arcs and manoeuvrability in exchange for firepower and warp speed. get under and behind it and none of its weapons can touch you.

JJ-Verse is a mystery because JJ is a poor screenwriter. Anyone who needs after-the-fact novels and comics to make his plot workable is not really thinking about details. He is really bad at thinking things through or writing enough exposition to make his [things happen until the action] linear pacing work after the first watch once the shock of the action wears off. Ships are more powerful, but also needlessly bigger. Again, it doesn't help to think about it. JJ writes for the casual viewer.
I was surprised by the outcome of your second match. Those pulse cannons are not powerful, but they continually degrade the shields so that they don't regenerate, and so the torpedoes become increasingly more damaging. They just chip-chip-chip away. I think the solution for fighting the Farragut is to keep your distance. Its pulse weapons and slow torpedoes would be evadable while your beam weapons and faster torpedoes give the Connie the advantage at stand-off distances.
The Farragut was way bigger in scale no? Like 1000 souls on board? JJ verse changes, huge ships, heck the Enterprise is massive in the JJ verse.

I've never liked the ridiculous sizes of the Kelvin timeline ships. I mean seriously...the Enterprise being bigger than a Sovereign or Galaxy Class? No I don't think so. The original size was supposed to be no bigger than the original Connie Refit. That sucks the Farragut was the winner.
It sucks that the Enterprise's bussard collectors don't spin like they do on the original filming model. I always thought that it lacked that right touch.

I used to hate the JJ -verse as the worst timeline in the Star Trek franchise, but looking back its more tolerable than about half the stuff that's come out since DS9 ended.

I guess that the Abrams universe has overall more powerful ships than TOS.
TOS? Yeah, Those Old Scientists 😆. Since I temporarily got Paramount+ to watch Strange New Worlds, I've been watching Picard and Lower Decks. I love Lower Decks because of all the inside jokes that only old Trekkies would get😄.

Just a side note that the James t Kirk in the prime universe does not exist in the jar jar verse. The James t Kirk of the jar jar verse in the prime universe would be George Samuel Kirk Jr who did also did not want to join Starfleet.

Could you please do a battle with an Apollo and an Ambassador against a galaxy. If you want to attack a stock soverane instead, you could add a probert ambassador to the fleet. Hope you read this🖖
Hmm, that would be an interesting matchup.
Question is, which Ambassador? There are now several flavors on RE, Including a Post-Dominion War, an Enterprise-C, Yamauchi, Zhukov, a refit (DJ Curtis) and stock.😅

Your trying to fight like a knife fight you need fight likes the Connie’s a sword . You got to win at long range then close once you wreck the shields
The problem here is none of these mods are really balanced against one another. Ships are plugged into the mod with dramatically different weapon, hull, shield, torpedo strengths and capabilities. It makes these battles difficult to impossible to judge.
The Kelvin ships are huge, big beasts of starships that dwarf TOS ships. They have HUGE reactors, and are the result of seeing the Nero incursion. Technology was accelerated by that encounter. There is no reason that these ships should be as nerfed as they are in the mod. They should absolutely paste TOS ships.
