- Fun little whoop, I really like that the elrs receivers are being integrated now. Flight time is a little low around 2:15 to 2:30. I didn't expect much flight time for a high kv 65mm. This can be improved by switching to a 48khz esc pwm frequency fw. More testing is needed on that.

I also just started flying the HM elrs Aio, in a 75mm frame. The range is absolutely incredible, both Reciever and Vtx is unbelievable. BF 4.3 is great, running 250hz at 100mw tx and 100mw vtx.
The new version 65mm cockroach frame from Newbee drone is great on both the durability and battery retention. Only downside is they are a bit heavier. I've got one of these boards and have been leaning towards building a 1s 85mm setup with 18000 kv 1102s.
I just checked, my 2g4 board also had those 3 adjustments settings done.
I think they ment to tie it to the pid profile
I use a little masking tape to make a lipo fit snug.

Pretty weird the receiver demanding 500hz... Maybe updating its firmware would fix it? I don't really know.

It's still only running at 250hz but the downside of a spi elrs rx is that the fw for the rx is part of the beta flight code
@@TweetFPV I thought it was TBS Radio issue and their versions of open tx. My Jumper T lite runs at 500hz on my EP2/1
Yea the non-spi receivers will run on any update rate. The spi based receivers are stuck to 1 speed. But this can be changed in the betaflight cli
Hi there. Please make a tutorial mobula 6 elrs setup step by step on betaflight until its bind with jumper tpro external elrs. I am new with fvp.
Nick burn’s indoor flight clip showed not much power and super low flight times. Did you find it had enough power? Like compared to an 0802 25k?
It doesn't have as much power as the 0802 25000kv. Flight time is better than the mob 6 on those motors with the stock 24khz pwm fw. I'm sure I can get 3.5-4 minutes on 48k pwm esc fw.
So I guess Happymodel team pilot Angry Don told them to pair these motors with an updated version of the Diamond F4 FC and this would have been around a 16g build, which would have suited those motors better. But Happymodel seems to go for hype first, and there's lots of hype built into this one. I'm hoping not too many people buy this so they'll taken Don's suggestions and make a new version. They could have simply slapped this board with the existing Mob6 with 0802 motors and still sold a ton of them.
I also wish they would redesign the frame. Not only is the battery bay loose, but the supports on the battery bay break really quickly. Honestly, I'm not sure why none of the big whoop manufacturers haven't made a low-profile frame/canopy like the R3D Shifters Zero-Grav. A frame like that with the diamond FC and these new motors would probably be a game changer.
That rate profile switching gotta be some kind of a error. I had trouble finding out why i’m always on rate profile 3.
Well because aux 2 is my mode switch on position 3 always 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Yea, it's weird little things like this that mfg don't think about. They 1, assume everyone is using their switch layout and 2, they don't have someone who knows their craft doing a final qa on everything before it goes to mass production.
I absolutely love my Mobula 6 ELRS, flies like a smaller quad. the regular Mobula 6 on paper should be better, more powerful, but the ERLS is more fun IMHO.
question- can you bind a frsky taranis xq7 with this drone?
If you have an external expresslrs transmitter module you can. But with the built in radio module in the qx7 you can not unless you solder in a external receiver to the flight controller.
I also swapped all my mob6 to the betafpv metor65 frames, much better frame. I also run them toilet tank, for one reason is to help keep the battery from sliding out in a front hit crash. Also running toilet tank makes the pitch axis more responsive in angle mode.

I sold the nirvana as soon as I saw the writing on the wall with underground uav, also I wasn't a fan of some of the failures I was seeing online. It's a shame I really liked the nirvana. But hey as soon as opentx 2.4 is out all the problems will be solved haha 2 years later and still waiting.

How do you auto calibrate the elrs 2.4 version is it the same as non elrs version.

Your talking about auto calibrating the accelerometer? If so then those are based on betaflight code. The receiver protocol makes no difference so yes the stick commands should work.

Flight time is the issue here.
All the high power 65mms have low flight time.
@@TweetFPV Some are better than this. I wonder what is the point in ELRS with one and a half to two mins flight time depending on your flying style. It's not like you need that much extra range with such limited fuel...
Try flying elrs then go back to d8 and you'll see the point. D8 needs to go away. It's not about range with 2.4 elrs. It's about control link latency.
@@TweetFPV Oh ok, thanks. many other channels are selling ELRS based on the range, with no mention of latency. I'm fairly new and still trying to put the jigsaw together. I'm still on the Mobula 7 with flysky protocol. No issues with latency but range is poor.
Yea, 2.4 is all about latency. It will not get the range of 900mhz. People ride on the marketing hype train without actually looking at the tech. You can't re-invent RF! Most people wouldn't see the difference going from a slow protocol to a fast one but you really see the difference going from fast to slow. Elrs 2.4 range is really really good compared to older 2.4 tech. Higher output power and much better electronics behind it.
I don't really recommend. I bought one and received it weeks ago, issues issues, Happymodel support has been pretty helpless. At this point it's been a waste of time and money, just trying to get a refund at this point.
That's unfortunate. The qc on these super compact builds it's always hit and miss. Hopefully the retailer will take car of you. What issues did you have with yours?
Hi thanks; ELRS quad and transmitter (Zorro). Bound no problem, but when I arm nothing happens, motors not turning. I created a second model, same thing. Support replied once a few days ago, had me check one setting in BetaFlight which looks all good, and they haven't replied since. (Also worth noting, mine should have come with batteries and charger, didn't, had to buy on my own.) I'm fairly new to FPV but I have a Firefly ELRS quad, that bound no problem and it's flying.
Sound like a simple configuration issue. Unless the whole fc is dead.
Agree, seems like it should be something simple enough, but I can't find anything that looks off. I sent screenshots to Happymodel support, maybe they'll figure it out. If not I'll send it back.
Well I can try and help you out if they can or won't. Hit me up on discord. Yt is a terrible place to troubleshoot these things. Or what you really should do is just send it back for a refund if you can.

There are a lot of factors. If you are still on the original fw then it will only bind to a transmitter on elrs 1.x fw. Also as it comes from the factory it will only work if your module is set to 500hz update rate.
I just don't understand why cannot anyone make a simple video of the ELRS binding process, it's driving me nuts. This video is also junk.
I'm sorry you are having issues binding your elrs gear. It's usually a fairly straight forward process. With the addition of elrs 2.0 some of the older gear will not bind unless all parts are on 2.0.
