The fact that element Courage Hammer is not only viable but competitive is an absolute joy. You need Dereliction and Bloodlust to make it work but just having it as an option opens up sooooo much variety. I'm thrilled with it as a Hammer main.
I love how they buffed hammer. It's my second main and I love how they made it more powerful. I usually go to using it when I need to or when a monster gives me pain, so I need a way of dealing with them.

What changed for valor hammer style ? It looks like it does more damage and charges a lot faster but I'm not sure edit: oh, you keep the light blue charge, it doesn't go back to purple and you don't have to wait anymore between each charge ? That's great
Level 1 didn’t change. Level 2 charges faster. Level 3 gets instantly charged. Also, water strike can skip level 1 if you charge immediately, or if you upswing, you’ll skip to level 3 charging after that. Finally, in the X attack combo, charging on the attack right before the finisher skips to level 2, charging after the finisher skips to level 3. In short: they made it flow and charge faster.

I’m glad the Hammer got justice in World and Rise. If you want to know how it felt playing it in the older titles, if felt really slow and clunky to be active with. It honestly had less mobility than it should’ve had.
@@jeremycortes6349 i wouldn't agree. Speedruns are scripted in a way where the player knows when the monster flinches, gets a knockout, partbreak and stuff.

Hammer in Sunbreak weirdly feels more like older Hunting Horn than current Hunting Horn. Same kind of positioning and setup for every sequence, etc.
nah courage hammer is like a weaker melee version of sticky bowgun.
