Astro season is just around the corner here. Looking forward to trying this lens out for astrophotography in the next couple of months on the Z7. Will make a video when I do 🌟 📸 ✨
Hi Shaun - thanks for watching the video mate. Great little lens for the price. Can't wait to give it a go with some astro. Have an awesome weekend over there, cheers 📸🙏
Great, useful review Adrian as always. What a compact little beast! Would be an amazing lens for vlogging for sure. Looking forward to checking out your astro shots with this one! 👍👍 Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Thanks for watching Peter. Great little lens for the price. So good to see the Z mount getting third party lenses for people to choose from. Enjoy your Sunday mate, cheers 👍🙏
The usually I only carry it because it's light, and it's now on my studio works. I do cosplay photography, unique angles and different concept for different clients are always in front of me. This is my current shortcut before I hope can afford the grail of Z 20mm f1.8 S. Great review!
Nice review Adrian, in fact i purchased this lens two weeks ago. Have not used it too much yet but the little that I have I am satisfied with the quality. Now I have to learn the best ways to use such a wide lens. Thanks again and have a good weekend.
That's s super cute little lens. Loved the step through the apertures to see the differences. Vlogging with it is a great idea, it would be light enough to hold up for a while too. Cool review, thanks.
Yeah it's such a light weight set up with the Z7. Image quality did surprise me with that price tag. I honestly wasn't expecting this lens to be that good. Have a great weekend, cheers 🙏
Hi Adrian, funny, that was the first thing I thought when I clicked on your video today: does it work well as a vlogging lens? 😆 A great review, buddy! I have to say, it is really interesting on which high quality level some of the cheap lenses have got. Thank you for making these reviews here! Have a great weekend, Christian
Totally agree Christian. The quality you get with this lens for that price tag is just amazing. Perfect on a gimbal set up and so crazy small in size. Have a great weekend buddy, thank you for watching 🙏📸
I have ordered this lens for my Nikon ZF ,I am bird photographer and this inexpensive and light lens suits my occasional landscape photos. Thanks for an excellent review
Just watched your reviews of the new Tamron 28-75 G2 and take your point of coupling this with that to cover the wider needs. I have the Viltrox 13mm f1.4 for my Z50. This looks to be a much smaller and lighter option for when i go FF. Thanks for all the reviews on these latest lens offerings. Any chance you’ll be doing a ZF review? I’ve been holding off on that waiting for the z6iii. But we’re all hearing that may be a bigger step up in price and specs, which i don’t really need.
Must admit Adrian I have been a fan of Viltrox since one of your early videos and then purchasing the 24mm F1.8 for Sony. Very well made and a more than solid performer for the price. They definitely out perform there price point. Nice review mate 👌👌👍👍
I agree Scott, Viltrox are slowly growing into a lens company that'll soon be up there with other third party manufacturers like Tamron and Sigma. This lens will be very handy for travel. Have an awesome week mate, cheers 📸🙏
I didn't know about this lens. I am thinking about getting a tamron 35-150 for events and this thing is just perfect if I ever need a wider shot. It weighs almost nothing and it will be perfect on my trilens. Instead of lugging around 3 heavy lenses I could get away with just one heavy lens and be at peace. Thanks for the review!
Hello Adrian, I recently purchased this lens for landscape photography and like the lens to such an extent that I purchased a second copy as a gift for a friend.

It should be great with that 2.8 aperture!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's sharp enough in the corners to be usable for astrophotography!
@@danieljung2810 I've seen reviews of this lens for astrophotography, and it is excellent in the corners!
Great review on the tiny lens but packs some good work with the photographs and test - many thanks for sharing the info - have a great weekend

Can't believe how small that lens is! You're right, be perfect for travel or hiking mountains to keep weight down. Thx for the vid man
Yeah it's an incredible lens for that price. Definitely be using this while I travel or hike into national parks here. Have a great weekend 🙏📸
