- Copenhagen, I am completely in love with you. I know I say it in the video but seriously every single interaction I had with people here (from the girl who gave me a bagel, to the guy who broke my kroner into coins so I could buy a transportation pass) was SO NICE. I know that we spent a lot of time in Tivoli (we planned to try to see some of the hidden giants outside of Copenhagen but the rain made it difficult) but I can tell that Copenhagen is a city I could easily live in. I wish I could go back already!!

I studied abroad in Copenhagen for 6 weeks in 2016 and completely fell in love with it! Gorgeous architecture, kind beautiful people, lots of things to do and see, and insanely gorgeous countryside outside the city!! Got to visit for a couple of days this past summer and already can’t wait to go back!! ❤️🇩🇰

I went to Denmark for two weeks (w/ a quick stop in Amsterdam on the way back) on a school trip in 4th grade (yeah...my school was pretty special), and this video just renews my desire to go back now that I'm adult. Tivoli at night is pure magic, & the Danes are absolutely lovely people. I'm glad you loved it! 🇩🇰

my father grew up in Copenhagen! he moved back to denmark in 2004 and didnt want to move there bcuz the prices are so high even living in Amager!he past away 30 days ago!he saw Copenhagen back when it was cool!he saw all the Jazz greats like Louie Armstrong and Benny Goodman and such back in the late 40s-60s!

Would love a video about how you plan your trips, what you look for when choosing places to stay, how you decide your itineraries, what you look for in reviews of places and your mindset to traveling in general. I'm a pretty aimless traveler in that I do what I came to do (usually go to a gig/concert) and then spend the rest of my time wandering around without any set plans and sometimes I wonder what I'm missing out on by not doing more research on places to go, stuff to do and things to eat. At the same time, when I visit a place a second or third time I end up doing the same things and going to the same places as before (providing I had a good experience), lol.

Copenhagen was my first ever solo trip for 5 days and I looooooooved it so much, thanks to the City and the danish people, so adorable... such a great place to live, glad you like it ! and that was not the Swedish volleyball team, but regular danish people ;) They 're know to be the tallest in the Scandinavian countries and maybe in the world hehe

Actually most likely regular Dutch people, since she was going to Amsterdam. Dutch people are the tallest in the world, I think about 5 cm taller than Scandinavian people on average .
@@fajrfighter Danes are the second tallest according to an article I read lke half a year ago (couldn't find it, sorry), but if I remember correctly, the Dutch were only 2cm taller on average, but with the Swedes and Norwegians counted in as well, I suppose it's possible it's more like 5 since they are slightly shorter :)

Your first pronounciation if "tivoli" at 4:17 was quite all right:) (not that I'm Danish...)
The word "tivoli" is a general word in Europe used for carnivals/funfairs (and maybe even amusement parks.
And now, sorry for too much (hopefully understandable) text. I just got carried away...
The word "tivoli" is used all over Europe. How people use the word in different countries, I do not know. There are several amusement parks using "Tivoli" in their name. I grew up calling "travelling funfairs" for "Tivoli". Maybe it would be correct to call big and established amusement parks for tivoli as well, but I am not sure. Where I grew up, we only had travelling funfairs, so that can be why I use tivoli for that only.
"Tivoli" is originally a place in Italy, not far from Rome, known for the gardens. Then there were amusement parks in Paris named "Jardin de Tivoli" (Garden of Tivoli). The origin of the name of "Tivoli" in Copenhagen is inspired from those amusement parks.
