- Hi guys! This is my last Europe vlog and I'm so sad! This trip was amazing and I am sooo glad we got to spend time in Amsterdam :) I am now a dutch cheese addict and I DREAM of stroopwafel hahaha We had such a great time and it was a really fun city to just wander around. Thank you Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Oslo for a trip I'll never forget!

oooh la la amsterdam! I had some of the best memories there, being taken to a tented and outdoor music festival; having the cabby turn off the meter showing me the town (ahem and the red light district); and stumbling through the city after having had too much space cakes (thank you Dolphin Cafe).
Just got back from Korea! Had a great 2 weeks in Seoul, Gwangalli Beach, and Jeju Island. Wish I were back :(

Finally, the wait is over. Loved it, loved it ❤️. It was really cool to see you vlog at places I actually was. The stairs at our AirBnb were also bad and I cannot imagine having them at my house. Just the thought of it makes me anxious. Also I'm jealous of the weather you had there. I was there two weeks ago ready for sweater weather but I ended up regretting taking warm clothes cause our weather was more like it was summer rather than autumn.
imagine if you got to the bottom of the stairs and realized you forgot something hahahah insane!! and the last day was actually a lot warmer than either of us expected and we were carrying around our coats feeling silly :3

I'm from the East quite close to the German border so I don't get to visit Amsterdam that often, but I recognized all of my favourite Amsterdam spots in your vlog. im actually going to amsterdam in the spring next year and im so excited to go, this has just made me even more excited! im really glad you covered that most people speak english, that’s always a fear for me when going abroad! when i try to speak any dutch it really does end up sounding like im very angry - the same with german tbh

I used to live in the Netherlands and this vlog makes me smile every single time I watch it!!
This would need to be confirmed by a local, but I think the buildings don’t lean. There was a time where city taxes owners had to pay were determined by the surface area of the ground floor, so people would make it smaller to save money, and then make upper floors larger, making the building look like it’s leaning. Those floors “stick out”, but I don’t think they lean.
It looked like some were going sideways though!!! 😱 It was wild!
its seems like its because amsterdam doesnt have very solid ground and the sticks used to keep the houses flat are wearing out after a few hundred years haha

The two storey bookshop is sooo pretty, I want to be there! i love pretty house fronts hahahaaha so, not complaining about the video at all. Wished it was longer and now I have to watch youver Oslo, Copenhagen and Amsterdam videos back to back :) heh
our entire neighborhood was bookstores and i was so in love!

Somehow you managed to make the overcrowded and touristy city center of Amsterdam look so cute. As someone that has lived in Amsterdam her whole life, it can be so annoying to be surrounded by tourists and millions of tourist shops (like the stroopwafel one haha) but if you look through that it's so beautiful. Next time you visit, check out some other parts of Amsterdam like de Pijp and Oud-West and maybe Utrecht and Rotterdam the next time you're in the Netherlands, you'll love it! ♡

I'm making my way through your old vlogs and was totally procrastinating this one cause I know it would make me nostalgic and ..yup it did💔🥺 I studied Dutch in Leiden, totally recommend if you ever visit again and want to get away from more touristy places but still wanna get a taste of the true Dutch little town™️ , it's like walking right into a postcard♥️

I've never been to Amsterdam - shame on me really, because it's rather close to where I live but I shall go there next year - thank you so much for linking some of the places you went to - the stroopwaffel place looks SO GOOD ;___; and that last café you went to (I'm guessing the one where you had loads of berries) looks so lovely! It must've been 9 (?) 10 (?) exhausting days but at the same time I'm sure it was worth it - you looked so relaxed and happy in every frame ;) It'll definitely give you some energy to go back to real life. You couldn't have filmed my old home town any better! Well done! Four things to mention though. 1. It's sacrilege to eat stroopwafels with extras haha! 2. Chocomelk is just liquid nicotine, so delicious. 3. You MUST try "poffertjes"!!! 4. Hartelijk Gefeliciteerd (means happy birthday ;) a tongue twister to say)
The guy at the store i bought chocomelk from 2 days in a row laughed at me 😂🙈🙈🙈
Don't forget the poffertjes! Highly recommend it with a can of Chocomelk next to it ;)

Ooo, you went to the Our Lady of the Attic! :) My boyfriend and I went there, too. :D And I just loved the Van Gogh Museum, he's one of my favorite painters. I'm glad you had a great time in Amsterdam (your other vlogs make me want to visit Copenhagen and Oslo, too). :)

I can't believe we were in the same city within days of each other! It was so fun to see some of the places you visited in Amsterdam and reminise! I honestly spent 90% of my week long trip in Holland outside of Amsterdam, so thanks for showing me more things that I now have to return to see haha! Also you and your stroopwafels is just too funny 🤣🤣

For sure! While you're dreaming of your next trip to Holland here are some of my favorite cities to consider: Alkmaar, Haarlem, Nijmegen, Maastricht, and 's Hertogenbosch ❤️ It's such a safe and welcoming country, even this bumbling, English-speaking only, country girl (me haha!) could get around by herself! So I'm sure you could too! 😘
I've been to Amsterdam once and it was so beautiful, it was only for a short weekend so I'd love to go back and experience it fully!

ahhh so nice to see you have visited my country! Since you said you have to come back, I have some tips for nice cities: Rotterdam (modern city, biggest after A’dam), Utrecht (like A’dam but way less touristy and smaller), Gorinchem (there’s a museum on Hendrick Hamel, he’s from there! Also beautiful small city) and lastly another favourite of mine: ‘s-Hertogenbosch / Den Bosch (beautiful again + try Bossche Bollen, it’s a pastry) :)

i love watching your Korea vlogs and this one as a Dutch person is a bonus. There is definitely so much more to see in The Netherlands then Amsterdam. I would recommend to you the city Utrecht and some or maybe 1 island. Island Texel made it into the top 10 places to go to in Europe in 2016 by Lonely Planet. Also a + Stroopwafels can be bought everywhere :D.

aaah sorry i didn't comment on copenhagen! i'm so overwhelmed with this trip, i kiiiinda want to plan one very similar once i save the money! being in constant awe of the building fronts reminded me of edinburgh. like it's not often that i'm hit with a "whoa, i'm somewhere totally new" feeling and that's what i imagine your trip was like!

I‘m so glad you & Olivia had such a great time in Amsterdam....Europe in general. I love Amsterdam and been there a couple of times💕 Good thing is that it‘s only a 2 hour train ride from where I live....! It was lovely to recognize so many things & places while watching your vlog🙂 I’ve never been to the Anne Frank house....sadly.....next time I go to Amsterdam I have to book tickets in advance. But those stairs though.....how did you not fall down??😅
definitely go! the nerighborhood of spui is a bookstore goldmine! and i felt really bad for the people who showed up at the anne frank house wanting to buy tickets but you can only do it online ㅠㅠ

I wish I'd seen this video months ago, I would have brought stroopwafels to the fanmeet/photo-walk! My parents brought like 15 packages when they visited me in Seoul lol. Also the houses are leaning forward because they used to winch up goods to the upper floors via the hook on top of the facade. This prevents the goods from colliding into the building :)
So much fun, to see the city that I live in, like whatthehell my house stands here.. from a different point of view. I should enjoy the little things much much more

i actually found a really cute pair of gloves for winter that im excited to break out heheheh and omg there were so many dachshunds in amsterdam!!
Chocomel is the best chocolate milk I've ever had, we get it sometimes in our Danish Netto stores. And when they have them I buy about 10-12 liters to stock up :D

The buildings are leaning to create extra space above. The ground in Amsterdam is very expensive, Because you are only paying per square meter, they want to keep the ground as 'small' as possible and as wide as possible at the top. I am living in the centre of Amsterdam ;)
