Never thought I'd see the day that FFXIV would be saved let alone have ongoing expansions, with support, with the same MMO subscription style in today's gaming era. I'm glad to see and I may jump back in soon.
FFXIV is probably the best MMORPG I have ever played. It's certainly the only one that I've truly gotten to its end-game and actually enjoyed what I was doing.
The story thus far: 1. The world got destroyed and remade 2. Saved the world, but got betrayed 3. Fought dragons 4. Revolution on two front 5. Too much light, needs -Lalatina- Darkness
None of the numbered FF stories are connected to eachother unless specifically shown to be a sequel. So you should try and jump into FFXIV. If you like MMO's you'll probably like this one. (It's the best one out there imo)

@@RenaRoseheart no, it's still 35. It might've been a typo. 45 is almost the entire base game, while 35s is when the juices is starting to show. Theres no reason to change it unless ARR entirely goes F2P.

i picked up ffxiv on a whim this past february. gotta say, it was one of the best decisions in recent memory. Never was a big mmo player, nor a FF player for that matter. This game's story, world, and community is really something special. Not to mention the music, trailers, and title logos are absolutely badass

There's an entire raid series dedicated to FFIII and the Crystal Tower, with new versions of the ost and bosses from the original game. It looks like this expansion will be centered around the Crystal Tower so we might get even more FFIII content.

Been playing for a few years now. I'm so happy that we'd finally gotten an MMORPG with a soul ; a combination of great story, exciting gameplay and gorgeous graphics. We've come a long way since the realm was reborn. Here's to at least 6-7 more awesome xpacs from Shadowbringers onwards!
In FF lore, balance is the utmost important. Usually the force of darkness grew overwhelmingly and thus, the warrior of light was selected to restore the balance (typical FF games). But in FF III, we have to aid the warrior of darkness. It is because the force of light has overwhelmed the world thus the crystal selected the warrior of darkness. This is the basic premise of FF lore and I guess, here we return to the era where light is so powerful so they need warrior of darkness to bring it to the equilibrium.

Haven't been playing since clearing O8S, Tsukiyomi EX, and farmed Anemos for the Anemos weapon + armor. Unfortunately I won't be able to play because of my work that requires a lot of travel. I miss FFXIV a lot! I feel like I'm gonna miss out on life if I don't play at least for 1 raid tier in Shadowbringers. The Dragoon main in me yearns to take up the spear and become one with the dragon once again!! Esp. with the DRG AF4 looking fresh af and DRGs can use Stardiver now!! Oh how I long to play this great game again!!
Dude you do know there's 15 main games right haha plus a dozens of spinoffs, about half of them have graphics of equal qualiry. The graphics started changing at final fantasy 10

Not only the Gunblade is the same ( Squall ), as the new Job is going to have the same pose, run style and skills based on Squall and Seifer Limit Breakers.

@@senam23 ????. I'm trying so hard to understand your complain about it. What's the problem about a new Job Class use a Gunblade as a weapon just like any another job does?. That's a MMO which each job needs a weapon to fight, you can't play with a specific job and select any weapon as you like to use freely, create a job classe with a specific weapon related to it shouldn't be a problem at all, after all that's FFXIV Lore, not FFVIII nor FFXIII. Cloud isn't a Dark Knight and yet Dark Knight in FFXIV use a Heavy Sword just like Cloud and there's a same pose and victory celebration as him as reference for his weapon type. In FFXIV Gunbreakers are going to use Gunblades as Weapons, that's not going to change anything in anything happened to the weapon in previously titles.
Certainly, I know nothing about FF XIV, but I'm really curious as to why the "Legend of the Eternal Wind" from FF III sounds in this trailer. Does that mean this expansion is inspired by FF III? Shouldn't have been IV instead?
So question, because I don't know where else to ask. Never played this game, the subscription always turned me off, I hate subscriptions in anything. However I've been dying for a solid MMO on PS4, and all of my questions always came back to this game. Additionally, I was told I can just get one long subscription, which made me feel better. So with them finally adding my bunny race, I'm officially gonna give in and get it. But what exactly am I buying in the ps store? There's so many different FFXIV versions to get. And what do I choose to be a healer? AND who's gonna let me heal them? 😙
All you need to do is buy the game and the expensions there is free 30days to play the game... About healers there are 3 clases Whitemage the main healing job Astrologen a healer with support skills uses astrology skills like a time mage Last is a scholar almost same with astrologen but scholars has a pet fairy and uses books to heal and suppport allies I hope i could help :) there is alot youtube guides also if your confuse what job you select
So how its gonna go down is, ff14arr is the base game. Heavensward is free right now, so no money spent. You'll only need to buy storm blood and shadowbringer as expansions. The collector editions of the games merely offer some additional rewards. So if you dont see anything you like in each expansion. You dont need to get the collectors. There three healing jobs at the moment. Conjurer> white mage, scholar, and astrologen. White mage is the full on mmo burst healer. Scholar is the shields and prevent dmg healer with a healing/buff pet. Astro is a mixture of white mage and scholar. But has a card buff gimmick.
thrasherlifestyle The money isn't the issue, I don't plan on using the free 30 days, I just want to get straight into it. Also White mage sounds like me the most. Scholar sounds like a very very close second, as I love buffing and purifying my teammates just as much, if that's what it does, and pets are my weakness. Time sounds interesting. So when the Shadowbringer game hits the PS store, all I need to buy is that and I'll have everything?
@@Chun-believable you really only need to buy ARR (A Realm Reborn), Heavensward is free right now for PC and PS4 if you own ARR, no need to buy Stormblood because Shadowbringers comes with all the previous expansions.
if it's really been that long then you should probably check out the actual gameplay footage of this game. it's an mmorpg and you will have to catch up on all the main story quests, which is a LOT

@@SpeedWarrior93 yes no official name yet. But both heavensward/stormblood orchestron we have in-game is named after the expansion. That's where my assumption came from.
Haven't been playing since clearing O8S, Tsukiyomi EX, and farmed Anemos for the Anemos weapon + armor. Unfortunately I won't be able to play because of my work that requires a lot of travel. I miss FFXIV a lot! I feel like I'm gonna miss out on life if I don't play at least for 1 raid tier in Shadowbringers. The Dragoon main in me yearns to take up the spear and become one with the dragon once again!! Esp. with the DRG AF4 looking fresh af and DRGs can use Stardiver now!! Oh how I long to play this great game again!!

Leon's Gunblade will be available as part of the Collector's Edition of the expansion, probably be more like a Glamour than an actual Level 80 Weapon.
Not only the Gunblade is the same ( Squall ), as the new Job is going to have the same pose, run style and skills based on Squall and Seifer Limit Breakers.

@@denzelvilliers That's interesting. But I wish they didn't do that, because the gunblades are just different swords (with a gun embedded). A gunblade wielder is not a "job class" per sé.
@@senam23 ????. I'm trying so hard to understand your complain about it. What's the problem about a new Job Class use a Gunblade as a weapon just like any another job does?. That's a MMO which each job needs a weapon to fight, you can't play with a specific job and select any weapon as you like to use freely, create a job classe with a specific weapon related to it shouldn't be a problem at all, after all that's FFXIV Lore, not FFVIII nor FFXIII. Cloud isn't a Dark Knight and yet Dark Knight in FFXIV use a Heavy Sword just like Cloud and there's a same pose and victory celebration as him as reference for his weapon type. In FFXIV Gunbreakers are going to use Gunblades as Weapons, that's not going to change anything in anything happened to the weapon in previously titles.
Certainly, I know nothing about FF XIV, but I'm really curious as to why the "Legend of the Eternal Wind" from FF III sounds in this trailer. Does that mean this expansion is inspired by FF III? Shouldn't have been IV instead?

Never played this game, the subscription always turned me off, I hate subscriptions in anything.
However I've been dying for a solid MMO on PS4, and all of my questions always came back to this game. Additionally, I was told I can just get one long subscription, which made me feel better. So with them finally adding my bunny race, I'm officially gonna give in and get it.
But what exactly am I buying in the ps store? There's so many different FFXIV versions to get.
And what do I choose to be a healer?
AND who's gonna let me heal them? 😙

About healers there are 3 clases
Whitemage the main healing job
Astrologen a healer with support skills uses astrology skills like a time mage
Last is a scholar almost same with astrologen but scholars has a pet fairy and uses books to heal and suppport allies

So how its gonna go down is, ff14arr is the base game.
Heavensward is free right now, so no money spent.
You'll only need to buy storm blood and shadowbringer as expansions.
The collector editions of the games merely offer some additional rewards. So if you dont see anything you like in each expansion. You dont need to get the collectors.
There three healing jobs at the moment. Conjurer> white mage, scholar, and astrologen.
White mage is the full on mmo burst healer.
Scholar is the shields and prevent dmg healer with a healing/buff pet.
Astro is a mixture of white mage and scholar. But has a card buff gimmick.
thrasherlifestyle The money isn't the issue, I don't plan on using the free 30 days, I just want to get straight into it.
Also White mage sounds like me the most.
Scholar sounds like a very very close second, as I love buffing and purifying my teammates just as much, if that's what it does, and pets are my weakness.
Time sounds interesting.
So when the Shadowbringer game hits the PS store, all I need to buy is that and I'll have everything?

@@Chun-believable you really only need to buy ARR (A Realm Reborn), Heavensward is free right now for PC and PS4 if you own ARR, no need to buy Stormblood because Shadowbringers comes with all the previous expansions.

if it's really been that long then you should probably check out the actual gameplay footage of this game. it's an mmorpg and you will have to catch up on all the main story quests, which is a LOT
