After watching this a few times it hit me, she's a spirit that doesn't seem to understand she's dead. She doesn't seem to understand where she is either and doesn't seem to even remember the painting is her. Poor girl. She must of died of heartbreak and it was so bad that her very soul forgot everything.
This actually makes sense. That's why she's all alone in her home without any servants. That's why everything is falling apart. I think the creepy guy is death coming to make a house call.
Fugit irreparabile tempus. No one can escape the passage of time, decay and finally, death. I really liked the animation, although it's dark and the perfectly matching soundtrack. Congratulations!

I love how in the beginning, it feels very much like Disney's Cinderella, then becomes more like Gravity Falls/Over the Garden Wall. To me, it was definitely a merging of the old and new styles, and makes me excited to see more like this.

Tell Death that this is a terrible way to make house calls! In all honesty, this was beautifully done. Sad though. Her husband seemed so sweet. Yeah, I think the old guy was death. The paper is how he marks the house of his "victims/clients". Then he comes to "collect" them.
I don't really understand what happened after the husband's death but I noticed that when the wife and husband first bought the house it needed renovations and they fixed it and in the end when it was empty it also needed to be fixed sooo maybe the house is haunted and whoever dares to enter it gets cursed ? idk tho I am bad at interpreting (┬┬﹏┬┬) love the animation 💕💕
