Just a tip for you guys, unimogs get their insane flex through the frame and very little from the suspension. The actual suspension is meant to carry the equipment or material a unimog is using ie. a backhoe or dump bed which means the offroad capability must still be there and it's thanks to the frame flex. That is why everything mounted on the frame has large bushings or similar material to accommodate flex. I love the project, but I don't want to see you ruin the capability or shear whatever you weld straight to the frame.
Def a little sad they cut it up, but they will likely fo a full rollcage in thr future meaning they they have to upgrade suspension to it more similar to modern 4x4 suspension
On unimogs the body and box are all 3 point mounted, never 4 points, that allows the frame to flex.. Also the coil springs are fine, but it's so much lighter that the original truck. 29:00 this is common when clearings are cut. Edge or close to edge trees fall much easier. You should check each tree around your area of operation every two years, because you're incredibly lucky nothing bad happened, a friend's father lost a leg from something exactly like this. He was in his tractor, getting it started to move it inside as a storm was rolling, and out of nowhere a pine fell and smashed the tractor's cabin, grabbing his leg. He was on there an hour before he was rescued. Trees don't play around when they fall.

Great videos!! Who was the celeb that no one want's to work with? That is still an awesome machine. Stay small in your shop, where it all started. You guys work so hard/Grind Hard
Imagine being Kanye South - "the designer" with all his forced awful ideas. All mysteriously fixed by the people hired only to transfer "the design" on paper. Maybe, turning it into a drawn project in the actual PC designing tool. This one was just as awful as all Ye committed before. The guys would need to fix it in the process. When the owner showed his true ideology... The guys seem not to appreciate the artistry of the designer. They went straight for cutting this piece of sh!t, so the vehicle at least has some chance to work. But, it would never have the right to work properly.
It's hard to imagine how fucking stupid you have to be thinking this project was for Kanye west based of a image used to depict what the drawing of this build looked like and the very vague "canceled celebrity" description. .. a image off the internet + "canceled celebrity" = iT's kAnYE yE's sO DUmB
You should shorten the front of the frame a little more so the tires are the harshest thing forward. It'll literally be able to climb walls. Completely vertical. Excited to see this thing done.
LOVE this build even though the initial project got stopped. Hope I heard correctly at the end of the video, will we see a JAG-MOG ?? As always, another crazy and entertaining build.

Knew a man running double semi tranis on his homemade brush hogger. Lots of gears, but it would push down some very girthy trees. Not a racer by any means, but man could it push/pull. How he kept from smashing stuff all day everyday for pure joy still escapes me.
@@ninjafortnite772 I think the timeline is wrong for it to be West..his "super cancellation" was only a week ago. Hope the big dope gets himself some therapy...he sounds like a dude in the midst of a mental breakdown.
who was this client? and what did they do that was so bad they had to change the project? i dont get why they couldnt just finish building it with no mention of the client.
@@socks2441 I'm imagining that it was the artist formerly known as Kanye, and they could've salvaged the whole project by simply painting a few swastikas on the side panels... 😁
Supposedly had Kanye West's name involved in it somehow , ... so the build was stopped. you guys are the best !! you give me the ambition to go out and build cool stuff!! Zx10 turbo manifold.. 2 days..
I would have turned around the transmission and transfer case and put the engine in the back. Then put the driver right up front for good visibility. I would have done a 4 link suspension with coil overs so you could chop the back end... and maybe shorten the frame. If you needed space I would have made it wider. Also it needs some crazy bead-locks so you can run it at something like 2-4 psi. I think it needs about 2-3 feet shortened out of it.

The round cross tubes are designed to flot the Trans and engine to prevent binding when the frame flexes....
the Ye Kart goes hard!
Incredible what the correct gear ratio can achieve.
Wow what a journey this video was! Sad that you were let down, but glad to see something new being made from that Unimog chassis. I guess it struggled up the hill a bit due to being too light! It was weird hearing a motorcycle engine while watching that though.
Great videos!! Who was the celeb that no one want's to work with? That is still an awesome machine. Stay small in your shop, where it all started. You guys work so hard/Grind Hard
I think his name strats with a Y
Perfect Will impression!
32:40 That sound! Both hilarious and horrifying.
You should shorten the front of the frame a little more so the tires are the harshest thing forward. It'll literally be able to climb walls. Completely vertical. Excited to see this thing done.
You guys always come up with the coolest stuff. Can;t wait to see where this goes.
LOVE this build even though the initial project got stopped. Hope I heard correctly at the end of the video, will we see a JAG-MOG ?? As always, another crazy and entertaining build.
BROOO i just noticed that one guy has 2 different color eyes!!!!!!! that is sooooooooooo trippy i have NEVER seen that in a human before, only dogs... thats bad asss.... it took me by surprise for a second I had to do a double take and rewind a couple times to make sure i wasnt tripping out.
Knew a man running double semi tranis on his homemade brush hogger. Lots of gears, but it would push down some very girthy trees. Not a racer by any means, but man could it push/pull. How he kept from smashing stuff all day everyday for pure joy still escapes me.
This is a monster of a light truck. Well done fellas 👏 always been a fan of the work you do and Ethan is a master of building most anything
So who was this build for originally and what did they do? You guys are my biggest inspiration to why I making mud and race lawnmowers 😁
Kanye West
@@ninjafortnite772
The original design DID bear a bit of resemblance to that Ripsaw Cleetus McFarland bought from West...maybe he was missing it?
@@zrxdoug they mentioned the deal went bad after the celebrity got "super cancelled"
Plus Kanye loves the sherpa which is what this takes inspiration from
@@ninjafortnite772
I think the timeline is wrong for it to be West..his "super cancellation" was only a week ago.
Hope the big dope gets himself some therapy...he sounds like a dude in the midst of a mental breakdown.
With a new larger shop, the sky is the limit. They have incredible talent. I forsee many builds of various types in the future.
Fun Fact: Gasoline was originally a cleaning solvent. It's use for engines was discovered later.
Hell yes! When you slapped that customized flange thingy on the wheel hub gadget something deep and primal inside me was completed. Righteous work ❤!
Right on!
Make it look like a big one of your power wheels. It'd be awesome having one in multiple scales.
love the long vids!!!!!
Yesssss!
It’s always weird to fire a client. Glad you were able to make something cool out if it
who was this client? and what did they do that was so bad they had to change the project? i dont get why they couldnt just finish building it with no mention of the client.
@@socks2441 Kanye west, look up Kanye West Concept car.
@@socks2441
I'm imagining that it was the artist formerly known as Kanye, and they could've salvaged the whole project by simply painting a few swastikas on the side panels...
😁
@@zrxdoug or go the other way and paintbJewish stars
Looks like Barbi's Minivan. But WOAH! that thing moves
They were running out of time dude. They needed to get something functional and did you see how junky that thing is? They were trying make if work not perfect
@@everettstormy But it sounded like the original project was cancelled so there is no longer a deadline.
@@toddabbott781 they have to make a video. That's the end all be all. They have to have money
@@everettstormy Yh Bro this guy is talking like they have years on years and an infinite budget
Pine cones have you seen any of there videos they make it work no matter what the budget is
