Thumbs up for gummy bears. 👍🏻
Cool build. I’m not a carpenter either so I appreciate the straight forward narration.

Built this same stand from the anvilfire reference. Thanks for the "holdfast" design!

Good luck with those gummy bears. Thanks for sharing. Always nice to see a different mounting method.

Thanks! There are certainly a lot of "complex" methods out there.

They make giant gummy bear molds that would make a helluva jell-o shot. An explanation of why one would use one anvil vs the other might be interesting along with the difference in heights. After a blacksmithing video or two. :)

Agreed... my last few videos have had far too little hammering and much more talking than I prefer.

I think I would up end the stands and fill them with sand then put a cover over and screw it down. Presto right it and you will have a heavy anti vibration stand you can pound on all day long. Good project. Take care Happy New Year. Doug

I wanted to be able to move this anvil easily. These stands are very stable without the sand. The other is filled with sand and makes the combined weight nearly 300#.

Looks like a nice stand. I didn’t see the first vid but what was wrong with your stump? I thought the mass of the stump would have been way more beneficial.
BTW It looks like the bolts on your clips put most of their force on the supports not the anvil.

..i'm more of a jelly bean man myself. This really intrigues me, a box type, hmm. then again i have an 1/2 inverted piece of railroad track on like a sawhorse made of 100+ year old old growth pine 8"x8"'s...

Gave up on the bears, made a cup of tea instead.
