I fucking love how all witcher game main soundtracks include that epic melody in some way. I played it few months after the release and this just reminds me of me shitting myself, getting chased in the swamp by shit ton of monsters. SO GOOD
And still after years I am listening to this almost daily. Immersion of Witcher 1 is unbeatable. It was made with love not for money, it has feeling, atmosphere and visual the closest to the books, just that grey, sad atmosphere, fallen, death trees, swaps, forgotten places, caves, crypts on other hand beautiful european meadows, fields, lake and sad, patetic, lonely and in some places really weird atmosphere like hospital. This all aspects I do not see more in games in last 10 years. Games are so over-burned with colors, too contrast that burns my eyes out. Witcher 1 is a treasure and there will be no other game like Witcher 1. Never ever. Those were times when gaming experience with combination of great music and atmosphere were more important than graphics. Thats what makes game good. Not graphics with stupid story.

just finished the first witcher and i think the cd projects company could have done the game better, but god damn, the music, the feelings of the world they put you in , dark cruel ages , story, is all amazing, i really enjoyed the game

I know its 3 years after, but you should try Gothic 1 and 2. The most immersive rpg ever. If you can be patient for the first 15 min or so till you get used to controls, you will experience in my opinion the best rpg by far.

The song was in the original version of The Witcher 1, not the enhanced version :) So it's no wonder it resembles believe. Adam Skorupa made a remake of it in honor of the enhanced edition.

I played the game, start to finish, and while it had an amazing soundtrack, I don't remember hearing this piece. Perhaps it only features part of it? The part beginning at 0:54 and onward, while beautiful, is new to me.

Tempo Shaent Blathanna sprawia wrażenie spokoju, pozwala sobie bez celu postać, "podziwiać widoki". Podczas gdy w Wiedźminie 3 praktycznie nie ma utworu tego kalibru, ja mam wrażenie, że w muzyka mnie popędza, żebym tylko "coś" robił. Wiedźmin 1 i 2 nie miały takiego problemu w sferze muzycznej, ale na szczęście od czego są mody.

First game is the best for me. Maybe characters looks little funny now, because its old engine... But.. That unique atmosphere and most beautiful soundtrack.. Also ambient sounds are the best.

I liked the premise, and this tune, even though it's not really featured on the game's music, just variations from it, it got me hooked into it. The first two Gothic 1&2 and The Witcher 1, are games that have a feel that is very hard, if not impossible (specially on these days) to replicate or to improve upon. Game developers nowadays just lose the focus, it's not just about PC vs Consoles (thou PC is better IMO). Create something that is memorable.
