I honestly thought one of the dogs still believed he was about to be euthanized. I don't think he realizes he was saved. He looked so scared.

I can't believe these dogs were on the euthanasia list. Criminal. Lee, you're their guardian angel. Bless you ou and your team for all you do.
At least 50% of dogs in the shelters come from breeders.
the criminals are the back yard Breeders and puppy mills, and the people who encourage them by shopping rather than adopting.
They're all gorgeous. I'm sure that the first dog and the one at 2:55 were puppies, and the last dog was a senior with limited sight. No puppy deserves to be euthanised in a shelter before it's had a chance to live its life, and it's not how a senior dog (who was probably loyal to his people his whole life) should leave this world. Nor is it how a dog in the prime of its life should be treated. No dog deserves to die in an overcrowded shelter, feeling scared, confused, and alone. I know that some dogs who end up in kill shelters were strays, but not all. Shame on anyone who, for any reason, dumps their loving, loyal, trusting pet at a kill shelter!!
What is truly criminal is that people choose to NOT spay and neuter !
These dogs all look fit and healthy....l can't believe it either...shame on man...but thankfully life is going to change from now on...😊
That German Shepard, was so happy with the interaction with Lee, he just wanted a little more. That was so sweet.
The one who cuddled with Lee and then turned around and hugged him had my jaw on the ground!!! What a LOVE!

Absolute lunacy how many of these precious dogs are losing their lives. Lee can only save so many, and with shelters so full, this is sadly a drop in the bucket. I hope the people who watch these videos understand that caring means getting involved... fostering and adoping, helping dogs who have nobody in the world to take up for them. The best way to support asher house is getting involved on the front lines and following Lee"s lead. Rescue is heartbreaking, consuming and can kill your faith in humanity. But without people choosing to do it, none of these dogs get to live. Please foster. Please adopt. Please care.

pugs and English Bulldogs have so many health issues that people can't afford to keep them. No research done before buying, and they've given all their money to a byb. Getting insurance should be mandatory if you want these breeds.
That gorgeous Doberman was two hours away from being killed!! Thank God for Lee and his group, and those rescue people who pulled all of those precious baby puppy dogs!
Annie the doberman looked so worried when she came out of the van. Doberman are so intelligent and aware. Glad she's going to a beautiful life.
When chemo and cancer gets to much rescue day is where I come for smiles and love ❤️

What a kind and gentle soul. I love dogs so much. I have had many dogs over the years and have loved them all. I have one now since a baby and she is 9 years old and will be 10 in October. She picked me when I went to see the litter and every time I went. I Love her so much she is my baby and she sleeps with me and has to be touching me. There is nothing better than a loving dog they love you completely with heart and soul
I agree, it's joyful to see all these dogs and to know that they're safe, but my heart breaks for the ones who don't get rescued. These are loving, feeling creatures, they don't deserve the way we treat them. Lee is a hero for the work he does.

I love what Lee and The Asher House does so much that I just set up monthly donation of $5.00 in memory of my late brother, Malcolm Vineberg, III. My brother was a dedicated Marine, but sadly he ended his life on 2/25/1999. I’ve been wanting to do something like this for years and I’ve chosen Lee and his amazing group to help. I’m on social security disability and once I get a few bills paid off I’m planing on increasing my monthly donation!

I always cry when watching "Rescue Day" even though it's a joyous occasion!
These innocent animals get a second chance that so many don't 😢 I'm a conservative who believes we need to get stricter on animal ownership and spay/neuter regulations.

I really don’t understand why anyone buys a dog when there are so many beautiful dogs that need a home. I have adopted so many dogs in my life and never had any problems with any of them. Please adopt if you can.
Mostly I agree and all my pets save one were rescues. For very specific reasons when my border collie passed we needed to get a BV puppy to become Shekel Jr., wife was in earlier stages of Alzheimer’s and it was recommended we get her another dog, long story. But when this boy is older and calmer, he's a rambunctious 3, I'll get a rescue, probably a Lab or whoever needs rescuing at the time. I adore doggos and wish I could have lots of them on a giant piece of land.
@@thecollierreport I can understand why you did that. I’ve had a few family members that had dementia or Alzheimer’s and you just do what you can for them. I hope you have help when you need it and take care of yourself too.
I only adopt senior dogs now that I am 77 and a senior myself! It is hard losing them sooner but I am happy I gave them a good, loving home no matter how long! ❤. After losing 2 seniors in a row I adopted my Maltese Rivy 2 weeks after my Maltipoo passed….my way of honoring him!
@@Suzi64grad My sister in law bought a maltipoo puppy for my niece and nephew when they were little kids. My brother was deployed overseas and she wanted to take their mind off of worrying about when dad was coming home. That was the sweetest dog I’ve ever known. He lived until the kids were in their twenties and out of college and then he died of old age. He’s been gone several years now and we all still miss him so much.

These rescues literally bring me to tears. To think these babies, with so much life and love in them, were in danger of being put to death is heartbreaking. Lee, if there is a god, you're certainly doing its work.
This man keeps me believing in humanity. What a great service he does for animals. Compassion is a wonderful thing..
This breaks my heart thinking that all these beautiful dogs were going to be put down just because they landed at a shelter. I think this is a shameful statistic for our country that over a million dogs are euthanized here every year. We, as pet owners, have to do better.
People need to get their dogs fixed. My state gets a lot of dogs from Texas and other southern states. They need to do something about dogs reproducing so many puppies which in turn have more puppies.

I've been binge watching, Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet. His entire practice/mission is about providing, "Affordable" Vet care. Particularly, providing, "no cost" spay & neuter clinics to impoverished areas.
