Luke died from cancer 2 months ago , he was only supposed to live weeks but survived with Lee for 7 months . ❤️Rest In Peace Luke ❤️
At least the last months of Luke's life he was surrounded by love. And poor Jules, the other bloodhound who lived with Luke (along with Angel, not a bloodhound), was a mess when they got her. But Asher House got her the medical treatment she needed, she got well, and she found a new home. At first, I wondered about why they rehomed Jules but kept Luke. Once Lee explained Luke's passing, I understood.
Oh, I'm sorry. He was such a young dog!
I feel really, really sorry for that guy. I don't know if I could ever let a dog go because of a spouse but then I tend to like animals better than most people. That was just so horrible when he said "she's done." Extremely sad.
We don't know the exact circonstances of the said spouse, there are many objective reasons that could have led a dedicated owner to this situation.
This man is utterly respectable, it takes balls to let go!
@@alkante2962 I woulda let go of the spouse....but that's me
@@CarmenDL1 And me!
@@CarmenDL1 same
@@CarmenDL1 But that still wouldn't have solved the core issue of the Dog acting out from boredom and loneliness.
My heart broke for his dad. Genuine love for his pal. I hope he's doing well.
I hope his previous owner sees this video. It should be a comfort to him, knowing he did the right thing.
I hope so too..and reads the comments where we all can see how much he loved that dog..I hope it brings him some comfort..in my comment I have said personally I'd have packed my partners bag before I got rid of my dawg..
I think if the previous owner watches this it's just going to make him feel even crappier than he already feels. He made his mind up. Live with it. Be happy and don't get another dog. Please.
fuck that guy dont get a dog if you cant take care of it.
@@nasirjones7666 they had the dog for 8 yrs..it only started getting destructive when his canine sibling died..this dog is in good condition..you can tell he was loved..at least Lee has him..he wasn't dumped or surrendered to a shelter..he knew he would not cope in a shelter environment
As a Child my parents got us a puppy that was mean to us children . Idk about that. I was too young. But GOD. My Mom traded and got Sugar an Eskimo Spitz We loved our Sugar. Everyone loved Sugar but she watched over our Family if someone tried to get in or close to us in a threatening way she was right there. Sugar had 6 liters of 7pups 6 living each time. Everyone loved her pups and being an animal lover . My family was able to tame each set of pups each time and they made great Family Dogs and great if needed watchdogs. So Respectfully Sir if you need another dog . Choose a breed that's tinier and gentle. Foster dog parents will let you volunteer at their places until you get just the right one. Don't give up. They're emotional support animals too. Right after HS My brother insisted on a malamute Husky but he wouldn't take care of Gatsby. Mom and Gatsby got Close . She put an ad in wanted ads . Malamute Husky needs a good home: I love how Our LORD JESUS works. Not only did Gatsby get a good home. He had 25+ acres to himself and she went and bought him a new queen size bed. He had his own bedroom and acres to run on. My Mom had sold our house so apt Living for 2 tinier house dogs and 1 cat was enough. Gatsby lived a heaven on earth Life.
Hat off to this man for doing the right thing for his dog!
I miss seeing Luke with the pack. Rest in peace beautiful boy.
8 years. I'm hoping he really was doing the best thing for the dog. On the other hand this dog's life is going to be amazing.
So sad to see. The guy, even Lee asked to help, wanted to be the one carry the dog in the car from Lee. You could see he loved the dog. Thank you Lee for again a rescue and support once more. Still bit emotional there was no other option for the previous owner then to let the dog go to Lee.
The owner loved the dog. He just couldn't give him the attention it needed. He did the right thing.
Yeah, it's confusing and hurtful for the dog at first, but they can recuperate if they got a good home again. But sometimes it's just the best thing to give up the dog, if one cannot fulfil their needs.
The dog loved the owner too. He did not want to get into lee's car and he was upset at the house missing his owner. so sad. But, what a great life he will life now able to walk & play with a beautiful dog pack and a loving new owner. 💙🦴🐾
@@piteusx8440 u make time for Your dog get up earlier and take it for a walk...dont just get rid of it....hire dog walker..what a lame excuse this ex owner..Lee happens to be a great guy I agree but that dog almost could have end up in shelter
@@belarte7063 no sorry but you have zero idea what that guy is going through, he can't do it anymore and it's not your place to judge him. He did the 2nd best thing for the dog which is probably the 1st best thing if he's going through it. Ppl shouldn't be shamed for making sure their pet is going to be ok. Ppl who just dump their dogs should be shamed. You're fighting the wrong fight.
RIP sweet boy 🌈❤️
Poor boy. And his owner too. But it’s the most selfless love isn’t it? To know your dog deserves better.
Ahhh that man really loved his dog. That's so sad when they have to give them up.
Oh Luke was living his best life Lee!!! You are a miracle worker - God Bless Luke
Aww hearing that guy talk, and then hear his voice crack when he talked about his Lucy that passed hit the heart hard😢 Luke is exactly where he needs to be and that's with the pack! Lee you're truly an amazing man
Thanks Lee for offering these dogs the the absolute best life possible.
The Sanctuary is absolute bloodhound heaven! The smells, tracking acres of land, what’s not to haroooooo about that? He’s a lovely boy, thank you for stepping in to give him the home he needs.
When luke gives that sad little whimper when dad puts him in the truck…………😢
I’m so glad the owner asked for your help rather than just taking him to the pound or something worse. It shows he cared for Luke. Not all dogs are family friendly and it’s a shame we don’t have more rescues like Lee to take them in
I cried like a baby listening to and watching that big baby Luke crying. Thank you for bringing him to paradise.💝
It's so hard to give up a dog. Seven years.....over half of his expected life span. But of course he will thrive in the farm environment, and make new friends. Once again Love, Patience and other dogs will bring out the best in this boy.
yes, lots of walks, lots of smells, other dog companions, he's going to love it.
Yeah and treed 'squirrels'
Looking at lee the environment he have for animal im happy for this beautiful soul to be in asher house.. He gonna love for sure i guess his new siblings will make him not to ever missing his pastlife
It is perfect. When I got my Bloodhound I couldn’t walk her. She was so strong and would “track” and I couldn’t hold onto her. My brother thought he could show me how to do it and she knocked him down 😂 we got it figured out though. She was something else. Had to carry a towel everywhere we went.
So happy to see people reaching out to rescue centers for help instead of leaving them abandoned. Kudos to those who seek help in finding another home for their pet! It's sad and hard to do, but sometimes love is letting them go to a place where they will be cared for.
It broke my heart to see the man have to give up Luke. But it looks like he fit right in. Love to all connected to the Asher house~
Omgosh Lee! Once you took that leash off of him, his tail automatically went up! He knows he is HOME! Thank you for being such a wonderful father
What a stunning boy he is ❤❤
Lee you have a heart of pure gold.
I adore that in all your videos, little Moo pops up next to you, she's never far away and seems to enjoy making a regular appearance, I have a bit of a soft spot for Moo 🥰🥰
Ugh, supersad that the owner could no longer deal with this, BUT i would still like to show him support and appreciation because he reached out to find a new home instead of just dumping at a shelter. So happy to hear he is the latest addition to The Asher House!
Amen! Finding a home for him out of a shelter would be hard because of his size and age.
I wonder if he hadn't had a spouse that didn't want the dog around or was single, if he would have gotten a second dog and carried on. It sure seemed that she was the reason he was getting rid of his dog. I can hardly bear thinking about it. Any spouse who would do that can't be the kind of person I consider nice.
@@betsyj59 I agree, even if I really disliked a dog for his destructive ways (I wouldn't, his destructive ways are more your fault then his) I would never tell my husband he had to get rid of the dog, just shows a lack of care for your spouses feelings and putting your own feelings first. Get rid of the wife, keep the dog :)
@@_Y.Not_ We don't know the spouses side of the story. Maybe she's physically unable to take care of the dogs herself. Maybe she's allergic and had been putting up it for many years and couldn't any more. All you people saying 'Dump the Wife.' with absolutely NO insight into their relationship or situation are the real ones without any empathy.
@Tensen01 Yes maybe she felt they weren't being fair to the dog by keeping him.
He is a hunting dog, so he will be happy in the pack. Have a good life, boy. ♥♥♥
Oh, these adopted dogs are so blessed to have you and your beautiful home.
Thank you!
Off the leash, out in the woods, right away BIG SMILE! Lovely.
My heart breaks for this guy. That is a choice no one should ever have to make. Not in a million years would I make my spouse do anything like that. Kudos Lee for stepping up yet again.
I feel so bad for Luke. First he loses his sibling, then his family. I know they did what was best for him, but it's still sad to see happen.
I had to re home my golden retriever as I was currently homeless it wasn’t fair to the golden ! It wasn’t easy to part with him ! I was looking out for his best interest

Unfortunately I am not so positive! The best for him? They were thinking of themselves and were willing to dump him!

Another 😍 boy going into a beautiful life..where he sure won't be lonely.
Lee asking for a bloodhound and getting three is everything we needed ❤ obsessed with these precious babies
So sad but the owner did the right thing. He will be loved and have an amazing life.
That was an awesome example of unselfish love by that man. You know he loved that dog but realized he needed more than he could give. I can't imagine the pain he is going through after doing that. But Luke sure looks much happier now.
His voice cracked i can hear him
It clearly wasn't his choice. The wife made him do it
My heart broke for his previous human who seemed like he really loved Luke but was put into a horrible predicament. Thank you Lee and The Asher House for once again and especially giving that poor guy peace of mind knowing his beloved Luke is in the absolute BEST living situation he could imagine and want. God bless you and your staff for being angels on earth for the many animals you adopt and give the best forever lives too!
P.S. I like the name Misha (I had a mini doxie named Misha years ago) for the other female bloodhound or I thought of Doris.
Maybe Misha will go in line for a future dog. :)
Amen to this Beautifully said statement
The report Lee has with the pack is just outstanding. Sometimes I think he's part canine himself. He really knows how to connect with the animals even the broken ones. Lee has such a big heart and so much love for these animals, it's great to see.
❤
His tail was so obviously telling. In the start it was straight down, when you all started the walk. And then his tail came increaslingly up , quite fast.
When he was let loose , his tail was so proud , the "schwung" tail told everything .
I know also ears can tell a lot ,but on this guy,the tail was so easy to see.
Its always facinating to watch how Lee can read the dogs . Ive learned a lot, just by watching the interactions in all these video's.
Hi from Norway 🇧🇻
Bloodhounds are so cool. And just adorable…thanks Lee for rescuing these big babies. ❤️
And LOUD. I I have someone in my neighborhood community who comes to our local dog park and refuses to properly train his bloodhound and that damn thing woof woof woofs, and I can hear it almost a half block away. Absolutely ridiculous. He keeps him close to him with a golf club. I mean it's just disgusting. It's a healthy dog so there's nothing to report but man that dog deserves a better owner. He only goes to the dog park to flirt with the single ladies. Yuck.
@@meganb6108 He uses the golf club on the dog???????
@@shalacarter6658 No. When he's flirting with the ladies at the dog park, he holds it back with a golf club up against his body. It's not forceful or anything, but it's a way I guess for the dog to know it cannot move. And I'm telling you that dang thing still barks and woof woof woofs all across the neighborhood. If I was one of those single ladies at that park, I would pick up my dog and off I would walk. I mean seriously. The guy is so obtuse. But yeah the dog is definitely not abused. He just is poorly parented if you will.
Lee has demonstrated that, in order to give a dog the best life you can, it's important that the dog looks up to you and trusts you. They feel safe and thrive when they have a pack leader.
Forever observing their interaction with the pack during the early days of their integration, kudos Lee. I love to see the pups I now know by name on their walks, it's such a joy for followers of the Asher House.
Oh my gosh I was in tears for the owner. I am so thankful he found the Asher house, the way the dog cried in the beginning was so heartbreaking.
It broke my heart to see Luke crying when he first got to the Asher House but he snapped out of it pretty quickly and he seems to be comfortable around the pack. Luke was obviously grieving the loss of his friend and becoming destructive. I felt all this guy had to do was get another sibling for him to bond with. He's in good hands now and he will love his new home.
No matter how many times I see it on here I’m constantly in awe at how quickly dogs adjust after spending a short time with Lee the Legend. Naturally my heart goes out to the previous owner but, at the end of the day, it’s the dog’s welfare and happiness that are paramount and Luke couldn’t be in a better place for that than the Sanctuary.
So sweet!! You can even see his tail go up, like in slow motion. He became happier, slowly, but surely. I love how Lee knows how to best introduce each new member to the pack! 🙌🏽🐾💙🐺
That was so nice of that owner to realize he needed more than he was getting. That was brave. I can't imagine having to give one of my dogs away. He's going to be in heaven with the pack. Your dogs look like they're best friends.
It’s painful to watch this guy give up his dog. He was loved but couldn’t provide him with what he needed any more. Hope all is well with him soon.
When he calmed down, he got this big smile on his face as if to say- wow is this doggy vacation!! WTG Lee! ❤😊
I could feel how hard it was for the dad of Luke to let him go😥 I'm sure if he had the power to keep Luke he would, sometime ppl can be so judgemental n only think that previous owners are just taking the easy road out, n yet sometimes that may be true but there are times that owners have no other choice other then putting them down n I'm so Grateful that they decided to get a loving family to rescue them, so they can keep having a furever home with a family that could give them a great life. N when Lee n his Crew get involved these babies have just won the Lotto. A journey that will allow them to be the Beautiful furbabies that God made them to be🙏🐕 and at the sanctuary that Lee has open who wouldn't want to live there with so much land to rome n lake to enjoy n a home that's made with so much love❤
Once again Lee, ur the bomb digging n I love what u stand for🙌😍🐕🙏🥰🤗❣
Making such a huge change can be so daunting for dogs. So glad Luke is getting acclimated. ♥
Loving these bloodhounds ♥️🐾♥️🐾
When he got out of the car he was probably expecting to see his dad, it must have been a real shock to him. But he will come to love his new home, and the other dogs are so friendly he will make friends quickly. At the end you can tell by his face that he isn't sure what is going on - not used to hugs on the floor.
You can see the difference already. Happy face. 😊 Lol too cute the pooch with the red ball. 😍
Tommy - he loves that red ball. lol
Luke is at the perfect place to roam, sniff and be his self. Thank you once again, Lee. You are amazing and Loved.
So happy for those hound dogs, they get to experience the joys of being somewhere with so much open space and friends to enjoy it with!
I wish the videos were longer. 💕 Welcome to the pack, Luke!
And boy, I was so happy to see Roger and Tommy Boy again. They make me smile.

Awww. God bless Luke and his owner, they must be missing each other. And also glad he’s got a great new family ❤. Thank you!
So wonderful to see your beautiful two way connection with these beautiful dogs.
I saw your video yesterday with the Bloodhound in the thumbnail and that's why I clicked on...I was thinking too wow 3 Bloodhounds in a week... they're such wonderful big dogs... so glad they've found a wonderful home. Oh and be ready to clean slingers off everything LOL
I am so sorry to hear about Luke passing. It breaks my heart 😢RIP sweet and beautiful boy. Thank you Lee for giving him love and happiness❤️ You are such a blessing to animals.
I’m glad you are keeping Luke’s name so he doesn’t get confused even more. I hope he finds another best friend with one of your dogs and I know you will give him lots of love. Feel sorry for the guy giving him away. ❤️🇨🇦
That Akita always keeps eye on Lee just in case lol...❤
Awe Luke looks like he's sniffing and howling his way into the pack with lots of love. You's are wonderful People to rescue these beautiful dogs. 🐕🐾
Luke is walking the second day, without leash, in the middle of the pack without any problem, starting to feel what will be his new life. His last owner can be relieved to se his big boy, his loved Luke will have a wonderful live. He had a face...made for kisses, with his precious eyes, his relaxed behavior..., a dog to fall in love 😍.
Hope Misha get connected to Lee, and other dogs of the pack, and finally feel a part of them 🤞. It will bring her shiny eyes, happiness and be able to enjoy company and life !!! Probably you are the one who can change her future for good, 👍 , you will ygive the best of you to get it, 😘
I always feel sad hearing the stories of each and every dog before they get to the sanctuary… but as soon as I see Lee take each rescue and the first pack walk.. I always feel relieved and grateful they are at the Asher house ♥️🙏🏻 thank you for being the light you are Lee
🥰 those handsome floppy ears!! 🤩 Just want to kiss his snout and ruff up his wrinkles 😂
It’s just wonderful to see all the dogs blossoming and happy
Pet owners don’t always realize how their pets are affected by their choices. Luke was sad going to an unfamiliar place with a new human, so he vocalized it in the only way he knew how. But today he knows he is in the best place for his spirit energy to live, now that he has all the friends and land to engage with.
The owner made the right decision for Luke’s long-term health and will find comfort knowing he gave him the best life for his remaining years.
Awesome job, Lee!
And you are absolutely right in saying ‘be careful what you wish for’ as I have had so many things come my way simply by thinking ‘wouldn’t it be great to …’ and without vocalizing it to anyone. Fleeting thoughts carry a lot of weight with the Universe sometimes! 😉❤️🙏👼
Aawww, he's so sweet, glad you could help him, he's going to have a great life with you!!🥰
I swear one can see the exact moment that Luke just...eased. Surrounded by all those nonchalant dogs, tromping steadily ahead, he just seemed to make that switch to okay! hey! and so to see you point out exactly what I saw (and made it more clear what I saw) made me happy. I can't imagine what Luke's previous owner was thinking, but man, after 8 years... :( I do hope he sees how well his pup is doing, and how happy. Anyway. I am glad for Luke! Kiki is looking so good too! I love her to bits.
The love I see in your video bring tears to my eyes. The owner will love to see how happy Luke is.❤️🙏❤️
That big boy Bloodhound is funny. He was really scared, like Sarge was, but in such a short time, they’re happy, smiling, and chilling. Lee has such an amazing gift.
just fyi: Sarge is Roger now.
The BAYING and HOWLING of a Bloodhound is so reassuring, it's almost calming ! Luke has what it takes to be a leader and protector of the "pack" !! Lee you have true friend there ! God bless you all ! Loving it !!
Luke got so much healthy exercise at the Asher house, he's not hyper and destructive anymore, and only on day two. Well done you both!! 😍

Lee, I really appreciate your insights into dog behavior, such as what a bloodhound needs to be happy and calm. I also was struck by a recent rescue of a husky kept in a back yard. You said huskies are working dogs and need a lot of activity and space. I think few people realize the differences among dogs are not just their looks. They are in the dogs' entire mindsets. An owner should know this and respect it. If not, it's the owner who fails, not the dog.
You are a true saviour, Lee. Thank you for showing yet another wonderful rescue video. ❤❤❤
AMEN❤❤❤❤
My heart breaks for that guy. Thank God there are wonderful people like you to help.
Awww, he's so adorable!! Great work Lee. God bless you.

Well done to the previous owner for being brave enough to do the right thing for his dog. Heart-breaking for him but I hope he knows his pooch will be living his best life now.
Every single time I watch the pack out on their walk, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear. It’s just so fun to watch them having so much fun.
Also, I couldn’t help but notice the yellow lab (with the red toy in its mouth) walking next to Jake, kinda like “yep I’ll be your friend” ♥️♥️
Beautiful job Luke and Lee. Love your kind, considerate and loving heart. Always thoughtful of each pup and their individual feelings. They feel understood and loved, so they trust and love you Lee. I imagine that is how the pack makes you feel too. You are all beautiful souls ❤️❤️
