Can't believe you passed on the Widow Jane Decadence in the first video! Right next to the Booker's. That stuff is very hard to come by and such a treat.
Hi there I just found your channel today I'm new to bourbons and would look to know your top 5 budget friendly bourbons for beginners also one I'd like to try is ancient age but here in the UK it's £70 a bottle
I didn't even ask, after seeing earlytimes for $50 instead of its typical $25, I knew it was going to be way to much. Typically in Kentucky I see them go for $250+
The Party Source is opening a bar in back called Merchant’s Club. $1 tasters of a lot of their store picks and craft cocktails by some of the areas most knowledgeable bartenders.
@TheMashBrothers For sure! Lots of chocolate, caramel, and toffee in that bottle. It's literally a Skor bar in a glass, IMO. It's a direct contrast to their standard NR expressions, which can come off as bright and citrus-forward.
I was in Party source in October and picked up the old bardstown among many other bottles. I really don't like it as it has a ton of iodine on the nose (also hated Rowans creek). I think I really just don't like Willett bourbon. Party source has great store picks tho!
See that’s what I’m worried about too and what i think is keeping me away from it, pot still depends if I’m in the mood for it but the rye, Rowan’s creek, and Noah’s hill i want a fan of
Supporting a Ohio whiskey drinker is never wrong. Not sure if your a Jim Beam drinker but don’t sleep on the single barrel at 108 it’s a hitter. And a bottle that surprised me was Big House it’s a sazerac product and the 120 proof is very good for 26 in northeast Ohio. I personally don’t camp or really hunt if I happen across something that I’m interested in and at msrp I’ll get it but most of what I get sits on shelves everyday. Rare breed knob creek Jim Beam OF 1920-10 Russell’s and all the rye versions are what I drink mostly. Big rye guy so got a Rittenhouse and Old Overholt 114 to try again under 30 on each so it’s a great deal. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy!!
We recently started our entire bourbon journey last year. I have gotten really into it and has collected about 50 bottles or so this year. Surprisingly I’ve only picked up a knob creek store pick 120 proof and KC12 so i Definitely need to try some more beam products. We’re slowly experimenting with more eyes. I have the willet 4 year, baby Saz, and Penelope toasted rye all of which are pretty good but also want to try some more here soon! Thanks for the support and happy thanksgiving to you and your lol loved ones as well
@@TheMashBrothers get the rare breed rye and Old Forester 100 they are bangers. Personally I like the single barrel better than the 12 KC. Proof just makes it better. Enjoy!!
@@TheMashBrothers absolutely. Party Source is always a great store to find that stuff too. Our allocated stuff sucks and price hikes are something we gotta deal with here in NKY 🤷🏻♂️ but luckily if you can build a relationship or find a little honey hole it can play out good for you
For most products we didn’t even see prices and tbh i was afraid to ask once i saw prices for the Earlytimes and Four Roses. I knew it had to be through the roof
@TheMashBrothers i walked in there one time after visiting revival to hunt for an EC Toasted for the wife to try and i asked the guy working and he said 200$ i looked him dead in his eyes and said are you fing kidding me? Like this is a joke right? He said nope i straight laughed in his face and left. Now the true funny part is revival is moving inside the Hotel Covington sometime in 2024 and the gentleman working there told me about Cov. Market but i had to see for myself and he flat out told me once they move into Hotel Covington there goal is to run them into the ground because of how ridiculous there prices are. Kentucky is rough especially with the middle eastern ran stores. I'm actually banned from a store called AA Liquor less than 5 minutes from where i live because i called him out for selling a fifth of BT for 150🦌 Blantons for 250🦌Weller Green for 200🦌 abd ER for 200🦌 i flat out called him a greedy POS. TPS is good but even better when you memorize there drop days and what time they do there drops because they do drops a week and on those days they do either 2 drops or 3 I've seen 4 drops but it was at close and it was like 16 bottles of OWA Store Picks which everyone in Cincinnati/NKY knows TPS Store Picks are out of this world.
That’s absurd! Yeah i have no idea how they are still in business. Gonna need you to keep and an eye out for that OWA pick though for me 🤣🥹 i Need that in my life
5:00 Absinthe finished Rye sounds like 2/3rds of a Sazerac cocktail.
TX blended is only sink pour I've ever had. Disgustingly sweet, and i like sweet bourbon
That Party Source wants $249.99 for Blantons 😂
Old Elk Cigar Cut is phenomenal!
Kicking myself for not picking it up.
Not sure how good all of that fluorescent lighting is for all those shelf bottles at that Covington store
Can't believe you passed on the Widow Jane Decadence in the first video! Right next to the Booker's. That stuff is very hard to come by and such a treat.
There is still a bunch showing up on Ohio's Liquor website so I may have to swing by and grab one.
Totally agree on the WJ Decadence! Really great sipper.
We have them in California few places for $90
I pass on it all the time ❤
Hard to find in Texas
The cost for standard shelf bottles at that Revival place are ridiculous. They are charging more than secondary prices.
The Owner of New Riff Distillery used to own the Party Source. KY law made him sell the Liquor store, so he sold it to the employees. 🥃
Oh that’s awesome! I didn’t know that!
I stumbled upon this, good video. I wish you coulda touched alittle more on prices you were seeing though.
Will do next time!
Cool video. Looks like you may have been in my Kroger in Hilliard!
Thank you! It was actually my local GE in Lancaster, but we go bourbon hunting often up in Columbus
Yeah I like it. Keep mashing it up !!!!!!
I Like what you did there 🤣
$50 for Early Times!?? LOL that place is a museum!
Yeah it was awful
Keep up the good work!
Thanks buddy! 🤘🏼

We will make this video for you! We just picked up ancient age too so this will work out perfectly
Still austin is must try, especially the cask strength. One of my favorites right now.
I need to try it asap
As you can see Covington Market has about 8 deliveries of allocated bourbon and has not sold one bottle…
What were they selling that jack daniel 12 yrs for?

I did see that, i wasn’t sure of all the details. That’s pretty cool
That New Riff Silver Grove is the best New Riff expression I've tasted. It's much better than any of their Single Barrels I've had.
Damn now I’m going to have to go back down there and get it aren’t I 😅😋
@TheMashBrothers For sure! Lots of chocolate, caramel, and toffee in that bottle. It's literally a Skor bar in a glass, IMO. It's a direct contrast to their standard NR expressions, which can come off as bright and citrus-forward.
Old elk is fantastic. Highly recommend
Awesome! Going to grab one soon!
Was just there on Black Friday! Love that place! Don’t love the amburana
It’s amazing, it’s about a 1.5ish hour drive for us so we go a few times a year
Wow, that place is unbelievably huge! Nice video, cheers!🥃👍
Thank you for the support! Cheers buddy!
Great selection compared to michigan, prices are 😖🫣, found a shelf full of Early Times bib in northern Michigan this summer for $22.99 👍😉💯
The Party Source is in Bellevue.
KY sucks for finding bottles I have found, more expensive than my home state too.
It's fun to see stuff thats not available in Ohio, but typically wayy to high of prices.

Give me a scan of the tequila isle next time.
Just pick up that Old Fitzgerald 10 year for $111 at a Costco grand opening. 😊
Dang nice congrats!

Old Elk wheated bourbon is fantastic for the price point, highly recommended
Awesome! I’m gonna have to grab one very soon! Cheers!
Peerless regular over double oak
Dont sleep on the Jack Daniels bonded rye, Still Austin is a hitter, but that TX definitely wasnt for me. Texas whiskey is a different animal
Im excited to give it a go! Thanks for recommending

@@TheMashBrothers I'll comment back on this video if I see anything good around town.
I was told TX doesn't mean Texas whiskey.
$50 for ET BiB is absurd
Agreed! Idk how they even make a profit like that
Covington Market is higher than Snoop Dog. Museum, not a store.
Still Austin Over TX everyday.
Saw a cask strength still Austin in KY i should have picked up
Blantons can be found in michigan for $99 👍😉
Price just went up here in Ohio to 74.99
New Riff Silver Grove has been out since at least September.
Cov market is trash oweners are clowns 200$ for EC Toasted i still don't understand how they afford to keep the lights on....

Peerless DO👀
It’s one i need to try soon
50 for early times? Wow.
Show some scotch
Will do!
too sassy for me
Agreed
Please please please start doing milk reviews!!!! My family is thirsty for milk and I don’t know what kind to buy!!!
Dragons Milk Origin is excellent if you can find it. Don't give it to your kids though.
