This is the first comic where Spider-Man finally has a decent relationship and partnership with the Venom Symbiote and yet I'm already liking this comic and this partnership and relationship that Spider-Man is having with the Venom Symbiote weigh more than the partnership and relationship that the Venom Symbiote had with both Eddie Brock and Flash Thompson and Dylan Brock.
The minute I saw Jackpot, I remembered why I liked Ultimate Spiderman so much.

This is the best tie-in I've seen in a while and like how Peter's relationship with venom has improved over the years. The new black suit design is growing on me too
Honestly glad that Peter and the Venom dialogue finally have the kind of inner mental dialogue that honestly Peter needs for god knows how long. It’s borderline therapeutic to see Peter and Venom have a support system. Also having Peter retaining is original low level symbiosis proves that Peter could’ve always been a lot more powerful with the Venom Symbiote if he chooses to, and with Venom having the potential to be an omega level entity in itself I always wanted Peter the opportunity to do more with them given his high level intellect.
If peter say "we are... NO.. I AM... (Venon's & Peter's voice), Venomous Spider-Man"; im screaming like a little girl. No Pause.
Never thought I'd see the day where I ship spider and the venom symbiote. It's a better lover than all Pete's ex's 😂😅

Spider-Man wearing Venom has always been my favorite version of Spider-Man, and I hope this time it lasts a little longer than a few issues.
I wish to see Spider-Man and Venom stay together, and Spider-Man becomes the King In Black, just like the Eventuality said that he should have been.
I know that it is pretty much impossible, but I hate Spider-Man always being mistreated and struggling like his lady problems, MJ leaving him, Black Cat and others leaving him, not having enough money, dealing with suck jobs and sucky people, and just having him being f##ked over by life all of the time. Let my boy have something!!!
It’s already been revealed that Peter becomes evil if he becomes the next King in Black.

I just recently found out about this comic and, after reading it, I absolutely love this story! After seeing Venom reach his absolute lowest point, it was amazing to see Peter actually tell Venom that he considers him a hero now, and actually welcome him back with open arms. Seeing them hash out their differences and past mistakes was so touching and long overdue. Such a scenario has been confined to the realm of cringy fanfiction, and mostly had Peter being corrupted by, and turning into, Venom. And the best part is that Peter and Venom actually get along very well and make a great team. They've buried the hatchet and are now ready to be a heroic duo. Their dialogue gives the reader the impression this is how their relationship should have been. You can tell these two now have a great deal of mutual respect and trust between them, which stands in stark contrast to the first time they were together. In a way, they weren't really ready to be together the first time around. Peter was young and impulsive while Venom had no conceptual understanding of nuance when it comes to morality. It didn't even know how to communicate with Peter at the time. But now, after years of being enemies and occasional allies, everything has just about come full circle. They finally found their way back to each other. Perhaps they both just needed to grow up a bit before they could be the team they were always meant to be.
As it turns out, Peter and Venom were the moral support buddy the other always needed. He doesn't explicitly say it, but you can tell Peter is enjoying wearing his black suit again and is actually glad to be with Venom. He refers to him as "buddy" and appreciates how much Venom actually cares about him. Venom gets to be with his hero idol and Peter gets to wear his favorite suit again. As far as the new look for the suit, the chains are pretty cool, but I honestly prefer the original white spider logo. It's just a cleaner, classic look. Admittedly, I've been out of the loop when it comes to MJ, so I really can't comment on her new "Jackpot" look or relationship status. I'm hoping Peter gets a chance to explain to her that Venom isn't a monster anymore and that he genuinely wants to do good and be a hero. And now, he has the opportunity to do so by being bonded a hero.
Lastly, regarding the cliffhanger with the Arachniote, I believe Peter is going to say yes to fully bonding with Venom. Granted, this is Marvel and they'll likely find some "power of teamwork" loophole where Peter and MJ defeat the Arachniote without Peter having to bond with Venom, but it's the most logicall point of progression for this story for two main reasons. First, Peter's vision from earlier in the story showed a creature that looks very similar to the Arachniote facing someone with a greatsword. The cover of the third book in this series with black suit Spiderman holding a greatsword, so that deeply implies Peter is going to take his newly rebuilt relationship with Venom to the next level. Second, most importantly, is that this becoming fully bonded would bring Peter and Venom's story completely full circle. The first time around, Peter freaked out when he found out his new suit was alive and had been secretly taking his body on joyrides and wanted to get rid of it asap. Plus, there was another Venom comic where it showed an alternate universe where Black Cat bonded with Venom shortly after Reed Richards removed it from Spiderman and Black Cat made a comment that Peter didn't want to be with Venom because he was scared of commitment. Now that they know and understand each other better, Peter agreeing to fully bond with Venom would demonstrate that he now trusts Venom and that he isn't afraid of a deep commitment like this. It would bring closure to the underlying trust conflict that separated them and reinforce the theme of second chances I believe this story partially contains.
It's only been one issue so far, but I really hope Peter and Venom get to stay together long-term. Just from their banter, there is so much future story potential beyond Venom War. Again, you can see the genuine joy both characters have at being back together again. Being with Peter would be a much healthier relationship for Venom than what he has had with Eddie or Dylan. Or most of his hosts to be honest. Plus, Venom could be the friend Peter can confide in without fear of judgment, so he doesn't have to bottle up his inner misery all the time. September can't get here soon enough!
Glad Peter and Venom had a Hashing out with Peter being his normal self telling venom despite their rocky beginnings he now see venom as hero and to remind him heroes don't stand idle while others are getting hurt especially when heroes themselves can make the difference it shows how far both Peter and the Venom Symbiote have come since their encounters with each other as enemies and uneasy allies also love Black Suit Spiderman Deck with Chains also I have. A theory that doctor Doom after becoming the superior sorcerer supreme is watching the venom war closely and this is likely why he chose Peter to be his champion during the 8 Deaths of Spiderman storyline

Aside from the Greg Land art and Lanzing and Kelly writing, I like that Peter, Venom, and MJ worked together to defeat Hobgoblin and save the people. The only thing I can criticize is MJ still calling herself Jackpot because it’s unnecessary, in my opinion. Overall, this comic is okay.
It’s like they’re trying force feed us Mary Jane jackpot.
I love the new Symbiote Spider-Man! Specially the chains that he uses to swing instead of the Webs it's a nice change and that logo looks amazing.
If that monster is anywhere near as powerful as stated Venom is going to need to channel every power he’s ever had to take it on. Like if he can use any of Carol’s abilities from the 3 minutes he bonded with her now the time.
Well, the Nov. solicits promise a NEW HOST with Madame Mask, Luke Cage, and Rick Jones being three of the prime candidates but not the only candidates
How did Meridius acquire such a Eldritch Symbiote Horror if Knull feared it? How powerful is he by comparison? 😳
Honestly, the Hobgoblin existing still is kinda mindblowing. Legitimately surprised they havent shelved him for good yet
EDIT: Venom treats Pete infinitely better than MJ does. Knowing Venom was supposedly to be Female like Spawn's suit just kinda hits different now

I feel like at the end Mary Jane is gonna bond with venom and venom is gonna find out that Mary Jane still has some feelings for Peter but venom won’t tell Peter cuz venom knows that telling Peter would undo all his progress of trying to move on if he finds out that mj still has some feelings for him left atleast that’s what I want to happen 😊

@AmRealityInc There's just too much information you missed. MJ has a new boyfriend named Paul, who made her the Omnitrix. Everyone hates him, by the way. "Becoming Venom" here means the union of Venom and its host. So this name has already been worn by a bunch of people (by the way, they were mentioned in the first comic of the Venom War). So the fact that only Eddie and the symbiote can create Venom hasn't been canon for like... 10 years? Or even more years. In short, it's been a long time already. And I doubt that this was ever the case.

Also, I know the lore around Venom has changed, in fact it seems to change from writer to writer. In modern times I really like how Donny Cates handled the character.
Also, regardless, if the specific union of Eddie and the Symbiote birthing the entity known as Venom is not cannon anymore, I still like that lore over just the symbiote being Venom.
